Ability to adjust the font size of the comments in ProofHQ viewer
Description - Provide access to view custom dashboards after they are added as tabs (top navigation bar) in a layout template, in the edit mode Why is this feature important to you - It is not possible to see which dashboard is added as a custom tab to the layout template. This makes administrative troubleshooting challenging. How would you like the feature to work - When I edit a layout template that contains custom tabs with custom dashboards, I would like to be able to see which dashboard it is, without having to click on the item. Current Behaviour - Currently, the only way to see which dashboard is assigned to a custom tab is to click on the tab name in edit mode, which opens the dashboard and takes you away from the edit page (which is another issue as all changes already made will be lost).
Description - It would be so helpful if there was a way to quickly tag all users on a proof in a comment. Right now, you have to manually type out their names on each comment and sometimes, I have proofs with 10+ people on them and need to enter several comments for all of those people. Why is this feature important to you - It would help save time. How would you like the feature to work - Maybe if you type something like @2008903-users or something similar that can pop-up in a dropdown after that as an option, Workfront would auto-add all of the names on the current proof to the comment. I'm a UX Designer so always looking for ways to optimize my time! Current Behaviour - You have to manually type each person's name and then select it from the drop-down on each comment.
Currently when you look through a Proof, the notes on the right don't display accordingly based on the page you are viewing. We would love to see the Proof Comments on the right hand side automatically scroll down as you scroll through the Proof pages to display only the notes for that page. If the page doesn't have any revisions, it should show no notes or if it does have notes and comments, only display those that are for that page.
I want to be able to have the custom form before attach document and other default fields. I also want to make some of the default fields required for request submission.
Currently it's not possible to add an OR Condition to a Rule. The Conditions are automatically AND linked. I had some cases where it would be great to add two Condition and link them OR. By the moment I do it by Custom Code.
Description - Allow add items in "updates->comments" section without save it on my PC.Why is this feature important to you - Is quicker instead of saving the item and click on add image then. Many times, I do not need it stored on my PC or I do not need to upload the document and just paste an excel table. How would you like the feature to work - Drag and drop or just Copy and paste items such as screenshots and tables and keep the table format in the comments.Current Behaviour - Save the items, and then click on add images is currently the unique way. Is not possible drag and drop the screenshot or copy and paste a table without lose the format or copy and paste a screenshot is not posible neither.
The ability to adjust the column width of tables displayed in a dashboard will significantly improve the look and feel of dashboards and enable us to eliminate the need to scroll within a dashboard report.
Was asked by the Customer Support team to contribute here, so we are!TLDR: Lack of ability to change Calendar or Board owners has incapacitated some workflows across our organization. Deactivated Calendar owners cause access errors, furthermore when at admin access level. Calendar entries are missing when copied. Calendar functionality is a key value prop for our organization. Forced to re-activate a terminated user so we can continue work. After days of troubleshooting, let me explain inability to transfer owners on objects has created a perfect storm, and a security concern. I tried to be as detailed as I can be so those reading can understand the rabbit hole we've fell into. From the beginning:Complaint comes in saying events are missing from an org-wide Calendar (that a recently deactivated admin had created / owned). Adobe Help articles recommend I copy the calendar, re-Share, and delete old calendar, but this created further issues. Here's a snippet of the support ticket
As Users who have created Calendars get deactivated, any Calendars which they have built and shared are no longer visible to those with whom they have been shared. This is inconsistent with how Reports/Dashboards are maintained when a User is deactivated. There are 2 current workarounds:Create a "fake" User account at the System Admin level and make a copy of the Calendar from the deactivated User, then re-share the new Calendar.Log in as a current User and make a copy of the Calendar from the deactivated User, then re-share the new Calendar. However, when making a Copy, it is important to note that if any Custom Date Fields on Calendars are used, those are no longer maintained. Therefore new Custom Date Field filters need to be built. It would be nice to see that Calendars behave the same when a User is deactivated to maintain the Calendar Report and the Filters that have been applied.
Description - Users with access level restrictions that don't allow them to access documents in Workfront (upload/download) should not be allowed to download pictures that are attached to updates (at minimum). Ideally they shouldn't be able to add pictures to updates at all as well. Why is this feature important to you - We have users with restricted access to documents. I cannot enable pictures in updates for entire population because of that group, because we consider pictures to be documents. Which I don't believe it's crazy given Workfront is largely used in Marketing and pictures are commonly shared assets. How would you like the feature to work - Users with restricted access to documents shouldn't be able to download pictures attached to updates (at minimum). Ideally they also cannot attach any pictures to updates themselvesCurrent Behaviour - despite restricted access to documents users can upload pictures to updates and download them if someone else has shared them this way
Our team would like to be able to see object level data of the object that is identified in our Typehead fields from submitters. For Example: If a submitter tags a project in our typehead field, we want to see what that Project's current status is in Workfront. Essentially the business case here is if the tagged project is still in progress our team should not be working on this new request. This acts as a check for us while removing the manual look up in the system.
Description - Show Groups structure in a visual format in one place Why is this feature important to you - There are custom forms asking which group and sub group a project belongs to and it is impossible to figure that out easily unless you are a sys admin and have access to Groups configuration page to see the relationships. How would you like the feature to work - All staff need to be able to see which group and sub group a staff belongs to and who they report to and be able to trace it from bottom to top. Current Behaviour - Currently you can only do this by searching for a particular user and looking at their Org. chart. but even then you won't be able to trace them back to their highest level group, other than by clicking on the top manager and then navigating to their org chart and repeat.
Description - What I was looking for today was an option to select Accepted Solutions when in a user profile, like RandyRoberts for example, to see all of their accepted solutions to see if any of them might be helpful. There are a lot of limitations on filtering and searches that make it a challenge to effectively browse popular and useful posts. I have tried using AI to search as well, but it usually can't navigate the Adobe sites either. And I hate the latest update to Adobe Documentation with every menu hidden until you hit the drop-down arrows. It makes it really hard to peruse it and scan for what I want. Why is this feature important to you - Make information easier to obtain as the users' responses are often the best resources out there since the documentation is very limited and even harder to navigate. How would you like the feature to work - Add more filters to searches and within user profiles. Allow multiple filters to be chosen, like most replies/like
We have been asked to to create a pop-up or a link to a comments box so that someone can provide comments/detail as to why a piece of work or project has been cancelled, potentially during an approval process. As far as I'm aware, this functionality doesn't currently exist in Workfront. Would it be possible to add? Thanks!
Description - The only way to view a particular project information in Teams is to add the Workfront project site as a site to an MS Teams channel. even then the page cannot scroll left and right and part of the page is missing from the view in MS Teams. Also, some particular tabs from the Project page, such as business case or tabs with charts and graphs do not open properly; they basically open as blank. Why is this feature important to you - almost everyone in my organization utilizes MS Teams for accessing anything and this will not only make their job easier but also make them actually open Workfront rather than reaching our to other channels to learn about projects in Workfront. How would you like the feature to work - I would like to be able to access the project site and all the information in it, reports and dashboard, from MS Teams. I like to be able to add the pages to the channels so that staff can access particular items from MS Teams. Current Behaviour - Th
I've had clients that would have liked to reference a unique reference number for Portfolios and Programs. However, Portfolios and Programs do not get a reference number like a Project or Issue gets upon creation.
Description - It would be helpful to have the ability to create a segment that could compare the values of two different traits and qualify a customer based on if the values match. Why is this feature important to you - the rub with AAM traits is obviously the number of possible data values for some traits--and having to build those out. Think date values or could be SKUs or anything else that has a lot of values.eg. let's pretend I work for an airline and I want to compare the values of traits 'next flight destination' to 'customer's home airport' in order to discern if the Customer's next flight is departing from their home airport or returning to their home airport. How would you like the feature to work - just need to add the option to reference an existing trait name , an operator of 'matches' 'does not match' and then the other trait name to compare to.Current Behaviour - this doesn't exist and I assume there is no development work happing on AAM but hopefully you can add thi
The old Home experience had the option to view "Approvals I've Submitted". However, this feature isn't available in the new Home experience. We'd like to have the option to view the approvals we've submitted all in one place, so that we can follow up on them if needed.
Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: Add a console in tools where authors can - 1. View the soon expiring pages, assets and XFs. 2. Download the report 3. Trigger the email to specific emails or groups with report attachment 4. Ability to change offtime in bulk Use-case: Authors need a console where they can view and review the resources that are expiring soon. Depending on the resource expiry, they can take adequate actions to avoid sudden unpublishing of these resources. Current/Experienced Behavior: Currently, AEM does not have any such console and it requires a custom solution to implement it. It would be good if this solution is part of product which may be more consistent and improve overall product value. Improved/Expected Behavior: Specified in RFE Environment Details (AEM version/service pack, any other specifics if applicable): AEMaacS, AEM 6.5 Customer-name/Organization name: NA Screenshot (if applicable): Code package (if applicabl
Currently, an Admin can implement a default task constraint using two variables:Set the Start date settings in task & Issue preferencesSchedule from in the project settings. This allows a user to set a default task constraint to:As soon as possibleStart no earlier thanAs late as possibleStart no later thanWe have a requirement to set the task constraint to "Fixed Dates" as the default. We would like a way to implement this at a global and group level.Ideally, rather than a matrix of complex variables, a simple drop-down with the 11 constraint options would be perfect.
Description - Right now it goes to the homepage after login regardless of what I click or what I'm doing. Why is this feature important to you - It is frustrating to the user who expects this to be the common/basic behavior. How would you like the feature to work - When I click a link in an email and have to go through login, it should remember where I was headed and take me there instead of the homepage. Current Behavior - After login user is directed to the page determined by their layout. We use SSO. Submitted to me by one of our users.
The new Home are is clean and offers some powerful customization options. I would like the ability to create Home templates, similarly to how we create Layout Templates now, to start users out with so they see the most important information first (i.e. for Executives, have Awaiting My Approval, Team Requests, and Mentions up top; for Project Owners, have My Projects, Mentions up top, etc.).
Anomaly Detection is a great feature which is available in two Workspace visualizations: Freeform tables and Line Charts. For many years, anomalies would show automatically in Line Charts (provided Anomalies were enabled in the Viz settings) but it has recently been removed. Now, in order to see anomalies, it's necessary to first drop in a secondary 'time series' breakdown dimension (for example 'Day') in the underlying data table and then select the values in the table in order to see anomalies in the line chart. Even though, it's just a few extra clicks, it is really annoying, especially when reviewing a large number of items. It's also difficult to train internal stakeholders to do this extra step. According to Client Care, this is not a bug but a feature that has been withdrawn (though I can't find any official documentation, for example in the release notes). Adobe, please bring back the old functionality!
We have thousands of users in our database, many of whom decide to "Check Out" documents. Currently we must go through each of these jobs manually, one by one, to check in documents so that we may purge the documents when space becomes limited or retention level has been met. We have thousands of files that are currently "Checked Out". We have a standing policy to never check out documents, as it is not a necessary feature in our use-case and more of a hindrance.
