Definition of Duplicates Marketo defines duplicates as two or more records having the same email address. How would different aspects of Marketo be affected by having Duplicates: Sending Batch Emails If there are duplicates, only 1 email will go out. It will be the lowest Marketo ID. This record is also used to populate tokens. Example: Marketo ID First name Email 2749 Elizabeth beth@company.com 10936 Beth beth@company.com In this case, the email will be sent to the first record with Lead ID 2749. It will say “Dear Elizabeth” if you use a token for first name. Also, the activity entries will be attached to that record (sent, delivered, opened, clicked). In AEM as a cloud, can we have multiple/custom variable files under conf.d/variables? We are on AEM 6.5 AMS currently and migrating to AEM Cloud. We have environment specific variable files like xyz_dev.vars, xyz_stage.vars etc. and a file like 002_init_xyz_vars.conf having an include statement like: PassEnv ENV_TYPEInclude /etc/httpd/conf.d/variables/xyz_${ENV_TYPE}.varsThis variable was set for each environment which will include environment specific variable file. I am trying to migrate it to Cloud compatible. So, instead I tried to use:Include conf.d/variables/xyz_${ENVIRONMENT_TYPE}.varsI had set this variable ENVIRONMENT_TYPE=dev in CM DEV environment configuration but the CM deploy pipeline is not picking up the variable and it fails saying: Config variable ${ENVIRONMENT_TYPE} is not defined httpd: Syntax error on line 357 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/002_init_xyz_vars.conf: Could not open configuratio

Hello,I've implemented a custom colour picker for the content fragment model, following the steps outlined in this blog post: Adding a Color Picker to the AEM Content Fragment Model Editor. The custom colour picker functions properly within the content fragment model and when creating content fragments using the standard content fragment editor when going via the Assest tab. Communication limits are a hot topic in Marketo. Turns out that many Marketo pros were incorrect about several aspects of communication limits, so we wanted to make sure everyone knew how they actually work! What’s the TLDR? If you read no further, here’s what you should know: Operational emails do not count towards communication limits. The “Default behavior if a person has reached communication limits” checkbox only applies to smart campaigns created from scratch after the setting is changed. Email mailbox programs and engagement programs from scratch will have the “block non-operational emails” checkbox checked by default. Any smart campaign, email program, or engagement program that’s cloned from an existing one will inherit the checkbox value from the source. Want to learn more? Read on...
