How Creative Content Automation in AEMaaCS is Speeding Up Content Delivery – Part 1 by Raf Winterpacht Abstract Bringing automation into the workflow of sourcing creative assets not only reduces the time-to-market for assets, but also reduces the churn often associated with the back-and-forth of trying to prepare content and assets for production-readiness. If workflows from a tool like Workfront are not being used to facilitate this flow, creatives will often repeat the same process over and over. This type of flow can be prone to error, delays, and diminished productivity. Content Automation can also decrease the amount of time it takes for processing assets using microservices. This processing can be significantly quickened running in a “serverless” infrastructure as opposed to relying on Desktop applications for processing, which also means processing can run in batch. By working with one main asset, many renditions based on processing profiles can be created which further enabl
AEM as a Cloud Service – Authentication made simple by Disha Satish Abstract Authentication in AEM as a Cloud Service is a critical aspect of securing the platform. It also ensures that only authorized users have access to sensitive data and functionality. In this blog post, we will explore the different authentication options available in AEM as a Cloud Service for author environment, how authentication in AEM as a Cloud service works, how authentication in AEM as a Cloud Service differs from on-premise, and its limitations and best practices for implementing them. Authentication for end users in custom web application is not discussed in this blog. Types of Authentications: AEM as a Cloud Service supports several authentication methods, including: Adobe IMS Authentication: Adobe Identity Management System (IMS) is the default authentication mechanism provided by AEM as a Cloud Service. It allows users to log in using their Adobe ID credentials, which provides a secure and streamli
5 things: Creating HTML for a component by Anmol Bhardwaj Abstract In this article, I will keep it very very simple. We just create a simple HTML file for the new component which we created, to show all the dialog fields which are authored. Create a new file under your component. ( You can do this in any IDE or CRXDE as well ) Keep the file name the same as the name of your component, or more precisely, the name of the node which you created as the type cq:component. You can access the dialog properties by the name which you gave them. And then you can use them simply like ${propeties.} // you can or cannot use a string, it depends where you are using this. 4. Write the HTML code for your component ${properties.title} ${properties.copytext} 5. data-sly-test is equivalent to if. data-sly-unwrap will not render the div on the page, just the text instead. If you notice. I have used quotes in the img src, but not in the div. It works in both places. Read Full Blog 5 things: Creating H
I18nProvider implementation example by Debal Das Abstract Various AEM related interfaces and implementations both have always fascinated me. Usually I come to know about these interfaces via different blogs, existing project and from my teammates also. Recently I was working on AEM i18n implementation and it was required to write a backend logic to read locale specific key and it’s value. Initially I wrote a logic and it worked. Then during peer code review, my collogue told me why can’t you give a try with an interface name: I18nProvider and he has already used this interface(I18nProvider) and also suggest take a look into an existing java class and it is really helpful. Then I made necessary change and it worked like a magic. Now I would like to share some detail about this interface with basic implementation here - Interface : I18nProvider Package : com.adobe.acs.commons.i18n Maven dependency : acs-aem-commons-bundle 5.0.14 com.adobe.acs provided Read Full Blog I18nProvi

Hello Dear Campaigners, with recent questions, if there is any REST API for Adobe Campaign Classic and that I have implemented REST over SOAP wrapper in the past, I have written another blog post about this topic.Let me know in the comments what you think: Build REST over SOAP APIPS: I have generated the post image with Adobe Firefly . I was really suprised what it can do and now you can try it for free in beta.

Apologies if this question has been answered before, but I spent some time looking and didn't see anything directly on point. We're working with an XFA form in Acrobat Pro. The form is intended to be signed by up to 6 or 7 different individuals, each of whom plays a different role up the "food chain" in the approval process. The first person to sign can apply a digital signature in Acrobat Pro, but after that no one else can sign or add information to other fields. Our tech department has (supposedly) confirmed that the form is not set to lock once signed. Any idea what might be going on here? Is there a correct way--within Acrobat Pro rather than having to go to the web--to configure a PDF form for multiple signatures? Because the form is XFA, I can't examine the existing properties for each of the signature fields. In case I wasn't clear about this, I'm just an end user, not the creator of the form. thanks in advance for any help!
We have many services which do things like call apis on external systems.Currently, the only way we can test these end to en is to write servlets which call the services, and run the servlets via postman or similar. What would be helpful is a way to:1. use services in tests (without mocking them - using the full proper service)2. be able to create a request to pass into services which are expecting it.3. to have the tests only run on local builds, not on AEM builds (because AEM build servers wont have whitelisted IPs)4. to be able to run a specific test only (via command line) Which test framework is AEM using? Obviously you cant just use a service in a test like you would in a servlet, e.g. this test wont work: public class SomeServiceTest { @Reference private SomeService someService; @Test void someTest() throws Exception { String result = someService.somecall(someparam); }} We found an example like this: @Rule public final AemContext
“Only use Preview By List” has been my mantra for so long, I’d been wondering if was still justified. Could it have become FUD due to changes in Marketo? Nope, a recent Nation thread proved it’s still the way! A user was encountering what seemed to be “missing custom objects in Velocity.” I, my community buddy @darshil_shah1, and the OP went back and forth for weeks trying to explain the symptoms. Finally, they switched from Preview by Person to Preview By List and we figured it out. Countless hours could’ve been saved by using Preview By List to start! (Or if, to be fair, I’d reminded them.) Reason 1: Limit repetitive actions The most obvious advantage is you don’t have to constantly refresh the Email Editor when you make a change to Velocity code. Instead, as long as your static list has at least two people, you can quickly arrow between them: Populating a list with a few representative people (ideally, test records with descript

How to enable Basic Authentication for Non-Prod AEM websites? | Support Authenticated Performance Testing with Cloud Manager by Albin Issac Abstract Enable Basic Authentication: Most of the time we will have the use case to enable basic authentication for non-prod AEM websites to avoid non authenticated users accessing the content(another option is through IP whitelisting) also avoiding the non-prod contents getting indexed through google search(another approach to avoid the indexing is through Robots meta tag) Easy to use generic user name/password for every website so that only the users know those credentials can access the password(if you need more security go with site-specific users or individual users) In AEM the basic authentication can be enabled quickly through Dispatcher(Apache) Create a common configuration file for authentication — /conf.d/htaccess/authentication.conf ## unsets authorization header when sending a request to AEM RequestHeader unset Authorization AuthType B
AEM Workflow: Request for Deletion Workflow in AEM by sgaemsolutions Abstract equest for Deletion is an AEM OOTB Workflow. In this blog, we will talk about, 1. What is a request for deletion workflow? 2. How it works? 3. What are challenges with this workflow? Request for Deletion Workflow: This workflow gets initiated when the content-authors don’t have replicate permissions and try to delete a page. Request for Deletion OOTB workflow has four steps: Step1: When an author delete a page, "Request for Deletion" step gets executed and it initiates a notification to the administrators by default (you can change it to approver group). Step2: When the approver approves the request, the page gets deactivated from the publisher. Step3: Again a request goes to the administrator or content-approvers to take the approval to delete the page in the author instance. Step4: When the request gets approved, the page gets deleted from the author server. Read Full Blog AEM Workflow: Request for Deletio

Introduction Skillful configuration of the data view component and global filter settings is critical for building effective Data Views that enable insights into customers' journeys. Data views empower the Project workflow in the Analysis Workspace application of Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), turning it into a dynamic tool for users to analyze customer journeys within and across platforms. This blog post provides a deeper dive into the overview covered in "A Guide to Understanding and Utilizing Customer Journey Analytics Data Views." In this document, I will provide additional context details around the choices for component and global filter settings within data view configuration. These choices can have important consequences for both reporting solution logic and user interface experience. Component Settings The component settings allow users to select which metrics and dimensions to include in their data views. This feature is powerful because it enables users to customize th
Hi, I'm trying to figure out the source to a mystery with our AEM instance. We noticed that the File upload warning disappeared for a few weeks, and up until about a week ago, we noticed the Name Conflict Warning box was popping up again, but with a totally different interface (UUID, existing file path). Anyone have any ideas or experienced something similar with Assets? If it was part of a maintenance update, it would be great to know which one and when it was released.
