Background: CarMax operates in a product team model, where each product team is responsible for a different area of the website. I provided the 1st party tagging requirements, and was responsible for all the administrative areas in Adobe, but each of those teams used their own developers to implement tags. Then we had another siloed 3rd party tag developer. Operating in silos led to several problems: 1. Pipeline management •Blocked pipeline delays critical updates •Too many cooks in the kitchen •Not best practice/goes against Adobe’s recommended approach2. Risk •Product dev’s don’t understand the implications of the changes they make, which puts at risk… •All 3rd party media tags (power ~$xxM in media spend) •1st party tags (power reporting, lead scoring models, etc.)3. Tagging was deprioritized •Product dev’s not all adequately trained on tagging •Too many competing priorities •No resources to support site-wide initiatives (like global tags)4. Inconsistency •Inconsistent use
One of the most annoying bugs in Launch is the search feature. It will take you to the wrong rule many times. Sometimes it'll let you know by a hazard icon but other times you have no idea that you're in the wrong rule. This is very problematic and time wasting. You have to try and research again to get to the correct result. Another bug is that you can't copy and paste into the search box many times which is painful. You have to refresh the page to try again. There are many many bugs in Adobe Launch but it seems as if the support team doesn't care? We'd really appreciate it if you guys would fix this.
Good morning, everyone! I would really appreciate it if someone could provide some kind of insight into this or be able to answer this question. In a nutshell, my question consists of two parts. In regards to the first item, I am not sure what the "column total" is displaying. Can you explain what it is? At first glance, I thought it was showing a sum of all the items in the column, but when I added them up, it was not
As 2016 is coming to a close, a lot of us in marketing are winding down our schedule for the year: sending out holiday cards, making year-end articles, and building flight plans for 2017's initiatives. However, there's one common thing that can trip you up.Ever looked at a website and wondered if it is still in operation? Maybe a thing or two looked like they could have been updated – and then you notice the copyright notice the in the footer. "2012. Right, this site must be dead. Let's move along."Because Marketo lacks any sort of year token out of the box, it's very common for email and landing page designers to take the easy way out: simply add the year as plain text – and then as a new year rolls around, their content is stuck without updated values. But we can do better than that: let's set year dates so they're constantly up to date.Setting Dates in EmailsSince Marketo only has {{system.date}} (which displays the current system date) and {{system.dateTime}} (a standard datetime s
I've customized the Request for Activation Workflow by overlay libs/../managepublicationwizard and the manage publication button is showing for all pages and it's working as expected. But in Experience Fragments and files in the Asset folder, the manage publication button is not visible. But if I provided the replication access to the user it will be displayed there and able to trigger the workflow otherwise the manage publication is not showing in both experiencefragments and files in the assets. Hopefully, someone can give me some suggestions. thanks
Hi,We have a requirement where in we want to cache the servlet(AEM) response.Servlet is making a REST call to third party to fetch a response which is constant(response remains same)Response of the servlet to be cached:Servlet : /bin/servletpathname?queryParam=apiurl.From clientside, we are making an ajax call to /bin/servletpathaname/apiurl/a.html (a.html is being appended so that the request has an extension.).At Dispatcher Weare using internal redirect to redirect /bin/servletpathaname/apiurl/a.html to /bin/servletpathname?queryParam=apiurl.We are able to get a successful response back from servlet (Internal Redirect is successful). But at dispatcher we observe that the request is not getting cached.Am I missing something?I want to understand how can we cache the servlet response, this would greatly reduce the load on the end server and improve performance.Dispatcher:The request is a GET requestWe have appended extension for the primary request. No Query Param in the initial reque

Context A simple method to execute notification deliveries on the fly without relying on a workflow to perform the delivery phase. This approach is effective if you need to send a small volume of notifications triggered by user actions on webapps, i.e. user data profile changes, preference centre changes, password changes, etc. temporary data is captured at webapp context and xml delivery target enriched with these values that are then rendered by delivery template. SubmitNotification var scenario = 'DM6885'; // delivery template internal name (string) var recipientId = 13250506; // target recipient - change to variable containing id var deliveryId = nms.delivery.SubmitNotification(scenario, <delivery> <targets> <deliveryTarget> <targetPart exclusion='false' ignoreDeleteStatus='false'> <where> <condition expr={'@id='+recipientId} />

I am trying to decide how to handle Product Views on pages that are not the actual Product Detail page. We have many locations on the site that allow a user to "add to cart" from a page that is not a Product Detail page, however our implementation only captures the Product View from the Product Detail page. Wanted to see what others thought about firing Product View outside the normal Product Detail page.

Hi coummunity, We would like to know what needs to be done to avoid com.adobe.granite.auth.ims.impl.CachedIMSClusterATExchangeGrantProviderImpl IMS token exchange stats to be executed. We have a servlet to obtain an application token and then another servlet to use the token an consume a webservice. On our author instance all the process is working perfect, however on our publish instance is not working as expected. We noticed looking at aemerror log file on the publish instance that after we obtain the token immediately before the second servlet runs we got an error related to com.adobe.granite.auth.ims.impl.CachedIMSClusterATExchangeGrantProviderImpl and we dont have any code code related to that. Here we get our servlet response fine. But after we get We don't have any Oauth integration. Thanks in advance if you can help us resolve our problem.

I want to Bulk add, update, delete properties but without using Groovy console. For that I used ACS Commons Package ( Versions -- 5.4.0 , 5.1.0 , 5.0.4). I upload ACS Commons package from package manager and installed that package. If I open "http://localhost:4502/apps/acs-commons/content/manage-controlled-processes.html" this link "Property Updater "process not showing in the list of processes Can you please figure it out why Property Updater process is not showing in the list. Is there any alternate approach to archive this task.
Hi all, We have an issue for the AEM6.0/oak-1.0.22 indexing issue. There a lot of warning messages like: org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.index.property.strategy.ContentMirrorStoreStrategy Traversed 80000 nodes (280221 index entries) using index cq:tags with filter Filter(query=select [jcr:path], [jcr:score], * from [cq:PageContent] as a where [sling:resourceType] = 'site/components/pages/bio' and [cq:tags] = 'departments/film-tvs' and [firstName] <> '' and isdescendantnode(a, '/content/site/directory') order by [lastName], [firstName] /* xpath: /jcr:root/content/site/directory//element(*, cq:PageContent)[@sling:resourceType='site/components/pages/bio' and @5644378:tags='departments/film-tvs' and @2503248 <> '' ] order by @lastName, @2503248 */ ... It doesn't tell it needs an index, but it seems the index doesn't work. It uses the OOTB cqTags index as shown. When I run the query on Tools > query console, I see a lot of warnings. So I create m
We did a large form export (3000+ forms) from a Marketo instance recently, in preparation for migrating to a new instance, and were alarmed to see how many forms used extremely specific selectors in their Custom CSS: /* Add your custom CSS below */ #mktoForm_1234 input { border: 2px solid pink; } Of course, it’s clear why people do this: to ensure no other form on the page is affected by the custom styles. Especially when you’re doing a rush styling job, you want to make sure to limit side effects. The problem is when you clone the form, everything breaks. That’s when you realize you didn’t mean “Only this specific form descriptor in the db has these styles.” At very least, you meant “Whatever forms serve this business purpose in our current design system have these styles.” (And it’s possible you actually meant “All Marketo forms have these styles.”) So this method locks you in and should be avoided. Instead, use a custom da
Overview Adobe AEM is the perfect platform for creating and managing a personalized user experience in a website or web application. But is AEM also a viable content services platform? In the first part of this article I described the modernization of an existing application based on Opentext Documentum, using Apache Sling 12. In this new article I will share some new information about this project and my personal thoughts on positioning Adobe as a content services platform. Security The Protocollo Informatico application works only for authenticated users. This application uses the standard authentication exposed by Apache Jackrabbit. We just added two standard OSGI bundles and made some little configurations to authenticate users via the corporate Active Directory. Authorization, the act of granting an authenticated user permission to do something, is completely left to the Apache Jackrabbit layer. We just added security rules and applied these to the most important nodes in the d

Check out this blog post by our Community Advisor @marcel_szimonisz about how to implement DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) for Adobe Campaign: Implementing DKIM for Adobe Campaign Blog Abstract: DKIM – DomainKeys Identified Mail – is digital signature added to email messages, for sender authorization. Receivers often look for DKIM when looking for spam messages. To implement DKIM we have to create a pair of keys, public and private. Public key will be published using DNS TXT record and private will be used by Adobe Campaign. I am trying to query a content fragment inside JCR , which matches a property value. Can someone guide if this query is correct? When I run this query in GraphQL tool, it gives node traversal and in the SQL query, I cannot see, it is picking the properties i gave. Node traversal may be due to lack of indexing the properties. But the query is not picking the filter rules I gave in my graphQL query.
