Workfront recently added functionality that allows an admin to ALLOW or DENY permissions to delete tasks and issues if they have hours logged to them. (Found in Setup > Tasks & Issues) This is fantastic but there seems to be a a failure to follow-through in the logic of how this should work. If a task or issue has hours logged and an admin doesn't want those deleted, then they ALSO don't want someone to delete the project those tasks or issues are on (which then orphans the hours). Please either adjust the functionality to also prohibit the deletion of projects if a task/issue on the project has time logged OR add another checkbox for projects the administrator can use to toggle on/off the permission to delete a project when the project has tasks/issues that have hours logged. The hour deletion preferences that can be set under Timesheets & Hours in the Setup area don't really suffice to alleviate the problems that can occur when someone accidentally deletes a
It would be great to see when an email asset was both created and last modified right in the Summary tab. I can find the info today using search but it would be so much nicer and less time-consuming to see it right on the Summary tab like we do for Smart Campaigns and Programs.
It would be handy to be able to have a "Test Flow" function when building Smart Campaigns that allows you to use either dummy data (that would theoretically satisfy the flow), or using real, database data (but have no actual consequences) BEFORE the Smart Campaign is activated (and affect real data). Something similar to how MS Power Automate, or Zapier etc allows you to 'test' an automation to see if the logic holds, prior to setting the automation flow loose on real data.
Please enable an option to send daily proof reminder emails on open proofs still awaiting decisions.
Whenever a Person field such as Assignment provides type-ahead list of matching persons, the information is very limited. Most of the time, it only shows their name. The problem is when there are multiple people with the same name, you cannot know which name is which person. The person information is available, but since it does not have enough detail to distinguish who it actually is in the typeahead popover, it can become very difficult to select the right person. It would be very helpful to include showing the person's email address with their name so that at minimum, we can distinguish two or more same-named persons by their email id. This would apply anywhere a person typeahead exists such as task assignment, sharing, etc.
Currently if you have Approval process "A" and it is actively being used in a issue approval and you edit the Global Approval Process "A" and make a change to any of the stages it resets the approvals for that stage. I.e. Person 1 approved but after the reset Person 1's approval is not showing. Here is the WF support article that explains it better than I. https://experience.workfront.com/s/article/Creating-Approval-Processes-1001577410#modifying-an-existing-global-approval-processThe purposed idea is to NOT have changes applied to active or previous uses of that particular approval processes. Similar to how if you make a change to a project template it doesn't affect all of the projects that use that project template.
We just switched over to New WF Experience and we love it. I got very excited to see a place to change "Planned Completion" at the top right of the project header. However, the deadline is hard set to midnight, which makes the entire function useless to us, since it defaults the final task date to the previous day. Changing that hard setting from midnight to 11:59 pm, or some other late-night setting, would make this function jive with the task dates, and that would be invaluable. For example, I have a project whose Planned Completion is 8/1 and I want to change it to 8/30, I can go to "Planned Completion" and change that to 8/30 (which is super helpful not to have to enter the Edit screen, go to Overview and change it there). But since the new Planned Completion function defaults to 8/30 at midnight, the final task in my Tasks schedule changes to 8/29 instead of 8/30, and I have to go into Edit > Overview and change it to 11 pm anyway, which defeats the whol
In the "classic' WorkFront, we were able to File-->Print (or Cntrl-P) a timesheet for HR's archiving (paper or PDF). Now when we try to print in the "new" experience, the print out gets cut off after the first line and there is no way to print out the timesheet. Can you add back in that feature to export/print a timesheet in some way?
With respect to user account management, when SSO & Auto-provisioning is enabled - currently newly provisioned user accounts must be manually enrolled in the new experience. It would be helpful to have a setting that would allow all new users to be auto-enrolled with the new experience upon account creation.
In the Proof Standalone platform, there was the ability to copy a proof, and most importantly copy comments from a previous proof to a new version. This is not an ability the Integrated Proof platform has. This is a highly important function. Specifically, we use this to copy client comments into a client feedback proof for our creators. We would like the copy ability to be activated in the Integrated Proof platform.
It would be nice to see who the next task is assigned to that depends on your current task in the home view. When viewing the home task list, it would be helpful to have a field that shows dependent task assigned: First Name Last Name. This would help alert workers who to tag with questions or documents for the next task without having to go into the project and ladder up.
In New Experience the Issue Details page consists of Entry and Updates section and once you select the calendar the Classic view appears with the drop-down for AM/PM in the calendar. (see attached. right on the same page the Issue Dates calendar dates, you have to double click and select the time and then you have to type AM or PM instead of drop-down like classic, no consistency and this is all on the same page. WE need to save clicks not add more. Screenshots attached, Thank you.
The proofing functionality recently became available in our instance and everyone who held a Worker license or above was automatically given a proofing license. Due to this, they have the ability to create proofs from an object's Documents tab which may cause confusion if they stumble upon the functionality. We'd like the ability to disable the following proofing buttons that appear inside of the main Workfront application. There is not currently a way to do this.
The difference between Classic and NWE has been identified where the hyperlinks to the project work differently in the report where the user does not have access to.In Classic - There is no hyperlink to the project where the user does not have access. In NWE - There is a hyperlink to the project in the report, however, upon clicking the link it shows the message that the user does not have access permission to the project. Can this behaviour be consistent? Basically, we would like to have no hyperlink to the project at all for the user if the user does not have any access to the project in both environments. Thanks
Description - to restrict access to the admin menu in Target User InterfaceWhy is this feature important to you - so target account settings cannot be changed at Target level unless you have admin access. Also a change log for admin settings change would help identify changes at admin level. How would you like the feature to work - Like AA; the ability to only show admin menu in Target UI to key users of organisation onlyCurrent Behaviour - Admin access is shown to all users in Target UI; this menu needs to be hidden unless you are admin access as part of your user profile for Target. @rbasra
I want to be able to filter down results based on different fields. Currently I am limited to only certain fields like status or entered by, I should be able to filter down more.
It would be a huge boon if we could have on Calendar that had Corporate holidays on it, that could be used in combination with separate PTO Calendars used by many individual groups.
It looks like there's been some recent improvements to Marketo Engage's form accessibility around validating fields. This is great! However, there are some small tweaks that need to occur in order for these new items to perform in a way that's stricter to WCAG standards. 1. The aria-describedby attribute for inputs should only be inserted at the time that the validation message itself is added to the DOM; otherwise, the attribute has nothing to reference. 2. Items displayed in .mktoErrorMsg should additionally have aria-live set to assertive. 3. This isn't strictly accessibility-related, but when looking at validating form fields against behaviors, I'll also use setCustomValidity() and set the required attribute upon validation if validation fails for required fields. This can help with CSS/JS presentation if the Marketo customer uses custom behavior/visuals elsewhere.
When setting up a filter, you have to manually type everything you want in the filter. It would be nice to see your options so you can make multiple selections instead of having to type each one. For example: Job Role - when you click on the arrow, all of your defined job roles should appear and we should be able to click on the job roles that we want in the filter. This should be the same for Pools, Group, Team, etc....
Workfront Customer Care advised me that it is expected and normal behavior when Copying Tasks to Projects when selecting only a single working task plus it's parent results in all the parent's child tasks being copied, even if they were not selected for the Copy To operation. What happens is the selected working task is copied directly underneath the selected parent task that was copied but then all the other child tasks are copied underneath the selected working task. If a parent is selected you have no choice but to copy all of it's child tasks. This makes no sense and will require that we re-create the parent task in the destination project manually or be forced to delete what could be hundreds of tasks from the destination project that were never selected to be copied. This is a bug that Workfront needs to acknowledge as such and get this fixed. Users know what tasks they want to copy and these choices should be honored by the Copy To operation instead of our being forc
The issue: Gmail clips emails over 102kb (https://mailchimp.com/help/gmail-is-clipping-my-email/). Our solution: Before we push HTML into Marketo through the API (https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/assets/emails/#update_editable_section), we remove line breaks and whitespace in the HTML. For example: <html> <body> <h1>Hello World</h1> </body> </html> Is converted to: <html> <body> <h1>Hello World</h1> </body></html> This reduces the file size by ~50 kb (from 150kb to 98 kb). If someone on our team edits an email in Marketo, the text editor automatically ads the line breaks and spacing into our HTML. It would be great to have an option to remove the HTML line breaks (\n), HTML white space, and HTML tabs (\t) inside Marketo during email sends.
At times, we would like to alert/notify more than the working group for new submissions, therefore it would be great if we could also set up secondary routing rules or alerts based on custom field selections.Example:Queue Topic: ImageRouting Rule for Image: Team DesignCustom Field Region: APAC*Desired secondary routing rule or alert: APAC SMEsEnd result, notifications go to: Team Design and APAC SMEs
As per the current design of Date range, the rolling date can only be set relative to "current" options like current day/week.We are looking for a feature where user should be able to compare Last Year data relative to the report/panel selected date. For example, if we create a date range LY to represent Last Year. We expect these to work as below.Use case: Suppose today's date is Nov 30th, 2019. And we select Nov-19-2019 as the date in Panel/report, then we expect: LY to show Nov-19-2018 dataCurrently, it shows Nov 30, 2018 data
Hi!It will be very helpful if the "Instructions" value can be configured to display in the "bubble" as shown currently or as a descriptive text below the label. Even though I can achieve this by adding a descriptive text, it requires double effort (consider a custom form with 8 fields) plus duplicate the number of fields in my library which can be inconvenient.
For requests/issues that remain as is and do not get converted to tasks or projects --- create the ability to assign planned hours to each user assigned to the issue -- similar to how simple duration works for tasks.
