Per the discussion thread that I started here, Marketo Support confirmed back to me that the email editor does not retain specific code in the <head> of the template; and strips out specific conditional code (media queries) that are essential especially for responsive emails. Please fix this so that our code is not being rewritten or stripped from our email templates.I know there already is an idea (since 2013) that is specific to stripping out conditional code within the HTML. This idea covers more than just the conditional code. So please don't merge this with that idea. Our template: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"><head>Marketo rewrite: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"><html>
When looking for a particular file i have uploaded ages ago and placed into a folder somewhere in the Design Studio, it would be great if we could search it by typinig its name in the search bar.
When one uses reports with programs in Marketing Activities, one usually setup the report to restrict to the content of the program. For instance, an email performance report would limt to the emails contained in the program.Currently, when you clone the program, it does updated the cloned reports to uses the content of the cloned program. You therefore have to edit the setup of all the reports in the program, which is very frustrating, as all other components have been cloned with smart rules. Please have this fixed. Greg
The RCE reports are great but the data presented in the body of the email is truncated and unreadable.Marketo support indicates that the columns are fixed and that you can not disable the body (I was thinking this could force the users to use the attached Excel file only.)As you can see in the example below the data is unintelligble and the links actually point to the incomplete URL. There should be a way to allow the width of the columns to expand so the user is not presented with an email body that has truncated data that is impossible to understand.
Presently, when a section of an email is opened for editing, you are presented with the rich text version AND the text-only version:However, when editing rich-text "my" tokens, you only get the rich text version:It would be nice if we could edit how the content of these token appears in the plain text as well.
Hi,Today everyone almost use another device than computer, so I can't see why Marketo Sales Insight now has been launched to other devices yet :)
It would be phenomenal to have an option to create a survey in the style of a Question such as "How important is marketing operations to you?" and have as many answers as possible with 5 radio buttons next to each to show importance level...not important, somewhat important, very important, etc.
Is there a way to run a report which tells you what device was used to open up your email. For example, was the email opened up on a laptop, desktop, smart phone....
For integration with Marketo/AdWords, add an option for syncing with Google AdWords so that each workspace can integrate with a diferent AdWords account. Different organizations inside a company may use separate google accounts. Currently it seems as if integration with AdWords only allows for one google account.
Would like to have an option to switch specific form fields as read-only within Forms 2.0. In specific campaigns we may want customers to only confirm their email address on form submission, but not be able to edit the info we already hold. There is an article in the community for custom HTML that does this, but it's not an integrated option within Form Design. Would be simpler design-wise to have this as a native option within Forms 2.0.
Right now in the SEO tool, there is no way to add all subdomain pages at once to the tool. The subdomains are included in the subscription, but you have to add the pages one by one, which seems really illogical. (Also, there is no idea category for SEO, so there's another idea :) )
We use both Marketo & Slack. My idea would be to integrate the two!One use case would be to move the sales alert emails from the email inbox to a slack channel, but I'm sure the community can think of several more use cases.Todd
Right now you can only add leads to a List via the REST API. What would be great would be to be able to add someone to a program directly.
It would be great if there was a REST API equivalent for the SOAP getLead call. getLead has the distinct advantage of being able to pass it a wide variety of inputs from Cookie value, SFDC ID, etc. There isn't anything on the REST side that is as flexible.
I've created a fluid layout responsive email that relies on some conditional comments to function properly in several versions of Outlook.Like this:<!--[if (gte mso 9)|(IE)]> <table valign="top"width="600" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr valign="top"> <td valign="top"> <![endif]-->I've done extensive Litmus testing on the HTML itself, and it seems to work fine. The problem is that when I create a Marketo template and then in turn use that template to create an email, all my comments get srtipped out, breaking the layout in Outlook.Looks like the conditional comments are saved in the template and don't get stripped out until the email creation. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thanks in advance for any help.
If a lead doesn't accept images - or if for some reason it's not communicated to Marketo that they downloaded the invisible GIF, no Open is associated with the lead.If they click on a link it's picked up as a click, but now you have more clicks than opens. If someone clicks on an email link you should assume they opened the email and you should add them in as an Open. This way you always have a 1:1 metric for Clicked to Open.
We have numerous times seen forms with hidden fields with Autofill enabled take in the cookied value instead of the newly requested value. I'd like to see hidden fields with Autofill disabled by default or, otherwise, designate fields as those where Autofill should be off by default.
Hi,I am still somewhat new to Marketo, and when I had started with our company most of our email templates were given to us in HMTL by our web developer. After attending the Summit I realized we should be creating mobile responsive templates, and when I asked our developer for some, he answered with this:"I’m surprised Marketo is not more full service in general when it comes to marketing email building. I’ve used much lesser, even free services like MailChimp and the templates are always included and easily editable to customize as needed via a drag and drop and live editing interface. This process we’ve been doing with email templates feels very outdated and inefficient to me. Is Marketo really that far behind?"Hoping to get this conversation started - Does Marketo offer any sort of thing like that? It would be very helpful, especically since most of our power users don't speak "HTML".ThanksAmanda
RTP's content recommendation engine would be so much better if you could control what site each asset is promoted on.As a global company operating in multiple languages I would like to limit it so only French assets are shown on the French language site etc.
For bookeeping, we have implemented a custom field stamping the date in which a lead enters a certain stage of the lifecycle (e.g. lead changed to MQL --> change data value MQL Date to {{system.date}} ).In the case of some leads that recycle and go through the funnel more than a single instance, is it possible to append the current date with the original date to the same field? (e.g. lead changed to MQL, MQL Date is not empty --> change data value MQL Date to {{system.date}}, {{lead.MQL Date}} )?Basically we would like to know each date that a lead enters a specific stage in the funnel.
EDIT: ALREADY HAVE IT (when working with Engagement Programs, the "used by" is not visible like other assets. It's listed under the "View" drop down). We encounter this issue a lot - primarily with Engagement Programs. When attempting to delete a program, we're unable to since the program is being referenced in other smart campaigns outside of this program. There is a link to the program in the error window, but clicking on it does nothing:
Allow for reporting of program successes within a date range. For example, I'm trying to find the successes from my email programs for a specific date range, and I'm not finding a workaround to do so.
Currently, there's no way to filter by engagement program casts or add the casts to campaigns (if received this engagement program cast, don't send this drip email, for example). For my situation in particular, this causes issues because we set up programs within engagement streams to give ourselves more control, but then it's difficult to see which pieces of content our leads have received unless we look them up individually or assign milestones to each "send content" campaign within the programs. The Member of Engagement Program filter does not provide us with the level of detail that we need,.
Per this Discussion: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000Q547AACI would like to further suggest that when viewing one's profile the discussions show which are marked as "solved" status or not.
When giving the option to select a landing page or email template to work off - show images of each to select from (rather than the current list format) - it is hard to know which template you are grabbing without there being images.
