Everyone says that resource type servlet is recommended over path type servlet as there will be benefit of ACLs, can someone explain with an example  how ACLs can be achieved and why resource type servlet is best?  

Hi Team,   In our project for some users version creation for asset failing with saying permission missing, its working for admin roles but we are unable to find exactly which permission should be updated here to resolve this. Hi Team, We have data coming from different sources, let’s say sources as SOURCE X, SOURCE Y SOURCE Z and sources will be kept on adding as per business requitement. Those SOURCES X Y Z contains the data about customer profile and their respective purchase history. All those are being streamed through realtime and we are good on the same. Question: we would like to compute some of the attribute data from these different sources . Like SOURCE X attribute1 + SOURCE Y attribute2 + SOURCE Z attribute3. So, since these data are streaming in real time with XDM compatible we are not able to perform any calculation. However, I have suggested to do that computation around the actual source system itself (in this case it is AWS) and ingest those attributes alone in separate schema and datasets itself. Would it sound good way of having the computation data on the AEP system? Looking for the long-term approach to do this activity. Else please do let me know on other way around to perform this calc

Hi All I  need to create schemas for a new project for the Education Department in Adobe Campaign . I have a requirement, wherein Education Department users should not be able see schemas of other departments (such as finance department, health department etc) inside workflow activities as well (for eg. while browsing schemas inside query activity of workflow). All of the Education Department users will be non-Admin users.   Could you please help me, how can i restrict users so they will not be able to see other departments' schemas.

Hi Everyone,   I could see a few unwanted properties like cq:lastModified, cq:lastReplicated, cq:lastReplicatedBy automatically added for every node. I tried deleting it manually for my website Content Fragment models but after changing anything it got added again. Is there any setting using which I can stop adding these properties every time?     Thanks. Mukesh

Does anyone know why custom statuses won't populate in fusion to update a record with? Only the legacy system options show as available to update a record a with.   I need to use fusion to update the status of a record but my status option won't populate in the list. Is there a work around for this?

Hi,    we are recording data in our Akamai Reporting UI, yet its not appearing in our Prod Report Suite. We have a report suite which is a clone of our parent. It has zero filters on it so it should bring in everything.  What's interesting is that our Akamai UI is telling us that we are getting URL edge hits for pages, but this is not appearing in the report suite.    I'm at a loss as to the reasons.

We are trying to identify the list of images in assets which has dam:assetState as processing.   Can someone help with the query to identify the assets list which has as dam:assetState as processing and also bring on the jcr:lastModified property value along with it.   Thanks in advance !

Hi. My colleagues and I notice that, in our local SDK installations, there is no Auto-start Workflow menu under the Assets Processing tab in a DAM folder's properties. We do see this in all our remote environments (dev/staging/prod).  I'm trying to setup the creation of a DAM folder and a workflow model, and the assignment of the model to the folder, in our codebase. But I have to deploy to development to test. Is this a thing that does not work when using the SDK locally? Thanks!

Hi ,  I am newer on AEM . I have a situation where I wanna get the url params from broswer input  and then pass the params to the components when Page A jump to Page B on AEM. So the component I generated donot need author to input the params, but it may use the params to do some other things so may need to pass the params through HTL to Sling Model (java).  So is there a way to implement pass params in this way : javascript (not use-api I think) -----> HTL -------> java   or if this idea is wrong, can you provide a feasible solution. I haven't seen any maintenance reports but I'm getting some weird....hiccups today. I swear it's like there's some kind of system gremlins tinkering in the system!     I've gotten these....and some 'Bad Gateway's....and clicking of a mouse but nothing moves.  Is there some kind of 'clearing of cookies' you can do for Workfront?

I want to have a checkbox checked by default on the page properties of a page created using editable template unless we go and uncheck it, and tried adding checked = {Boolean} true for the property,but this does not seem to be working for pages created from editable templates. The first time on opening page properties it appears checked but on adding a component to the page and then checking the page properties , it is back to its unchecked state.Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance 

I want to send an email when a workflow is approved or rejected. The dynamic participant step has an option for sending an email. Does AEMaaCS have a default SMTP server for sending emails? or We should have our own SMTP server and configure using Day CQ Email service (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/administering/operations/notification.html?lang=en#configuring-the-mail-service).   Please advise
