We use cascading metadata in some of our available fields for tagging pages in SITES. The cascading metadata works fine when we first tag pages with new values. However when authors edit existing pages with saved metadata, the cascading metadata does not display with the saved metadata. (see screenshots below)

AEM 6.5 seems to be making regular requests such as the one below; as found in access.log from a publish instance "HEAD / HTTP/1.1" 200 - "-" "Apache-HttpClient/4.5.4 (Java/1.8.0_251)" The polling fails constantly on author instances, and the error rate shows up in Java reporting such as New Relic. According to NR, the error is 401 on author instances. The errors reported in New Relic have identifiers (qtp631235405-15166) that match the log below. *INFO* [qtp631235405-15166] org.apache.sling.auth.core.impl.SlingAuthenticator getAnonymousResolver: Anonymous access not allowed by configuration - requesting credentials What is generating these HTTP HEAD requests, and is there a way to turn off whatever is making these requests? Thanks for your comments and question.

Is there a way to implement most frequent searched phrases through OOTB querybuilder or jcr query engine ? Or lucene ..  We have two show most frequent searched phrases and I am wondering the best way to implement the same.  Also, Is there a way to use Lucene query language in AEM ??

We have one group of stakeholders who want to copy the custom form every time it needs to be submitted because the information, other than the title and the dates, don't change. Is there a way to copy the custom form? Thank you.

I'm looking to create a segment that aligns with the following calculated metric:I've created this Return Visitor calculated metric for the purpose of extracting the number of return visitors who entered my Adobe Target A/B Test.I receive this number by calculating the difference between the New Visit/Visitors and total Unique Visitors in my activity. I am unable to use my calculated metric as my normalizing metric in A4T, therefore I needed to create a segment so that I can apply this segment across the A4T Panel. The problem is I've been experiencing issues how to replicate so the the Unique Visitors normalizing metric in my A4T Panel aligns with my calculated metric. Any ideas on how I can convert this metric into a working segment?

Hi Everyone,   I have a list of 150K contacts and I have been asked to update a specific field within the contact record for the contacts that exists in the list. We need the contact record's field value to be updated with the corresponding column value from the spreadsheet only when the field value is empty or in other words if the field is already populated then it shouldn't be updated.   Thanks

Hi all, I want to make a full module in my email only visible for segment 1.  I have built an email with all content in it, then I have made each elements in this module dynamic that should not show up for Segment 2 and have cleared the content in those elements. The content now does not show up for segment 2 in the preview, but it leaves a big white space. Any suggestions on different approaches or how to get rid of the white space? Thanks, Anna

I'm currently in the process of trying to dedupe the Activity Conversions metric that appears when A4T is selected as the reporting source in Target. The primary reason I'm doing is because I want to capture the 'percentage of visitors in my activity that have clicked or engaged with an element being clicktracked on the page'. Referring back to this documentation: How Do I View the Conversion Rate, Lift, and Confidence Level? | Adobe Target"For A4T, we use a Student’s t-test calculation for continuous variables (rather than binary metrics). Hello All - We have an issue with loading the classic UI pages in our environment and this happens all of a sudden. We see the following errors in the console logs. The page is not loading properly. I see some blank spaces between the contents of the page. Can someone tell me what could be the cause for this issue? This is happening in AEM 6.5 

I have graphQL Services at client place and would like to consume the services using GraphQL Client api provided by adobe, as application is an aem application. I tried by including below maven dependency in core/bundle, ui.apps and parent pom files. Hi All,I have an issue with my editable template with locked/unlocked components. case 1 :- In an editable template, i have authored a locked component and added some text in its policy.Intially component - locked, parsys also will be locked. Now i have created a page in which the text is not reflecting at all. case 2 :- In an editable template, this time i have added two components. one is locked , second one is unlocked & parsys will be in locked state . I have authored the policy for the components with some text. Now if i create a page then the 2 components are reflecting fine. so, the question here, Is it mandatory to have atleast one unlocked component in the parsys along with locked comp. in order to reflect on the page?? Thanks in advance 🙂

Using Content Fragment and Editable Template, we could expose either JSON or end HTML to the Front End invoking application and if the Front End invoking application invokes JSON, it gets JSON and if it invokes HTML it gets HTML correct?2. In the first case of exposing JSON, AEM components need not be integrated with HTML in AEM and in the case of exposing HTML, they need to be? If front end gets JSON it integrates this JSON with HTML?3. In this tutorial I understood Content Fragment with Event Title, Even Image, etc. It represents what will be displayed on the mobile. We came across this issue today: We have a rule that is supposed to be triggered by the DOM Ready event together with the condition of finding a specific string in the URL. The only action is 'Set Variables' using custom code. This is followed by 'Send Beacon' and 'Clear Variables'. If we set 'Send Beacon' to s.t() all works fine. But since we want to treat the rule as hit, we would like to use s.tl() instead. However, if we do that, the rule isn't triggered. It was my understanding that this change shouldn't make a difference, but I guess I was wrong. Can someone help me to understand this behavior?

Hi everyone, I am now working on implementing new tracking requirement on one site via Launch. Our rule is triggered by custom event and sent as s.tl(). However, it shows the error message in console - Failed to execute  "Send beacon". (see below)I have searched several previous discussion. --> some say it can be caused by not updated AA extension--> it is updated.--> some say it can be caused by not updated Experience Cloud ID extension-->it's updated. At the same time, the rule "Migrated from DTM: Adobe Analytics - Send Beacon on every page" is fired and sent the beacon without the same error message.But the tricky thing is that I saw no network request, either. I am thinking whether it is caused by an outdated plugin? We are still using the same setting that we did several years ago (from DTM period).  It would be great if someone can give me some hints/direction to troubleshoot. Many thanks, Yu

Hi All, I am working on a migration project from 6.1 to 6.5. My requirement is to migrate static template to editable template and all the corresponding pages should be in accordance with that. I have converted all the classic ui dialogs to touch ui dialogs. Do i also need to create templates and pages from the scratch too. Tried AEM modernization tool, good for converting dialog and but dint helped with page conversion. Thanks,Ankita

Hi!  I have been having issues trying to split a series of strings in one line by different delimiters.  This is the code I am using:    #set ($latestMeetingTimeFromArray = $latestMeetingTimeFrom.split("\s|[:\.]")) #set ($latestMeetingTimeFromArrayString = $convert.toString($latestMeetingTimeFromArray)) array : $latestMeetingTimeFromArrayString <br>   (I'm printing out the array for debugging) $latestMeetingTimeFrom can have values like the following:    12:00 PM 1:30 AM 11.00 PM   My aim is to store hours minutes and the meridiem in three separate variables, and as you can see, the delimiters are colon, dot and space.  I have tried all sorts of supposedly valid regex expressions to indicate all possible delimiters (with character set, three individual chars in OR, one char set with all three... ) and I have even tried passing a limiter of 0 and 3, but still the array ends up containing only one character: the hours value.  Exampl
