Hi all,This is my first time working with AEM Forms. I do understand how the new adaptive forms work but, I have a couple of general questions...1 - I know how to create a custom action (custom submit button) and a adaptive form template. But if the form is edited and the number/type of fields are unknown. How do we process the posted data in the back-end? Basically, my concern is if the author creates a new form, how do we know the id of each new field to get the parameters from the request?2 - If we create a form from <host>:<port>/aem/forms.html, we will create a new form page within /content/forms/af/.... Should I create my form pages under /content/myapp/... or it is a good practice to host all the forms within /content/forms/af/myapp/... ???Any clarification is really appreciated :)Thanks,Salva.

Hi, I want to enable server side validation on an adaptive form. According to this help page (https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/configuring-submit-actions.html) this should be a property on the form itself under the "Submit Actions" tab. But I don't see that property. I am using AEM 6.0 with AEM Forms installed. Is there anything else I need to do/install in order to see this property?Appreciate any help!Thanks, Alex

I installed a vanilla copy of AEM 6.1 and noticed that there is AEM Forms functionality out of the box by default. Geometrixx Gov, Adaptive Forms editing, Templates and Forms Portal are all there and seem to be working.Can you tell me what the feature differences between what is provided in the base AEM 6.1 install and the installation of the AEM Forms package from package Share?Thanks

Hi allI'm working with AEM Form, i have some forms created. Now i'm trying to integrate them with Analytics. The integration is working, I am getting the data on my SiteCatalyst Report Suite and i can display them on my graphics.The problem is with the Summary Report into AEM. I am working on Adaptive forms and would like to know if there is any feature for Rich Text Editing/Component.Any direction regarding adding RTE component or customization to enable RTE for Adaptive forms is really appreciated.Thanks,Mark

Normally when I author a new page in AEM 6.0, AEM takes the spaces in the page title and replaces them with hyphens in the page name. However, at one of my AEM 6.0 instances, AEM fails to insert hyphens into the page name as expected, so a page titled "my test page" becomes named "mytestpage" instead of "my-test-page". There are no errors or warnings in the error log when this happens. Is there a specific AEM component, configuration, or bundle in the web console that handles this? 

Client is trying to fill the information for s.products through Dynamic Tag Manager. It is possible to find the information through JavaScript. However, client would like to find that information through data elements and insert this information in s.products. Is there a way to do this since there is no field for s.products in the Dynamic Tag Manager interface?

Hi Everyone,I am a bit confused on how the page behavior will be when we enable the option "Adobe Analytics page code is already present".Currently i have a Web Property with Sitecatalyst tool installed. The Header and Footer embed code of this property is set in two different pages(lets say Page1 and Page2). Page1 also happens to contain the legacy code in it, whereas Page2 has no legacy code. Now with the above option enabled in the web property, Page1 send tagging using the legacy code(which is a correct behavior) because DTM does not interfere in this case, but the problem i face is with Page2 which does not send any tagging at all, whereas the expectation was it would send the tagging based on the s-code configured in DTM and other logic in Page Load Rules and Data Elements.Am i missing something here? May be there a configuration that i am missing? Or is this the actual expected behavior?Regards,Riyaz

Hi,My company is trying to see if transitioning to DTM will be a good option for us. We have decided to go with the library download hosting option and I have a question regarding it. From the DTM help page I see that "JavaScript libraries: Produced by the Management Application and transported to hosting servers." Does this mean that we can not upload some common libraries directly and then reference them in the Javascript/3rd party tags section with an includes reference?I'd really appreciate any input that anyone may be able to give me in this matter.Thanks for your time,Mike

1.    I created a new Page Load Rule.2.    The conditions on the page are    a.    Trigger rule at DOM Ready    b.    And only fire when dataelement OrderId is numeric3.    I created a Non-Sequential HTML script in the Javascript / Third Party tags section –4.    I have two variables I want to alter on the page    a.    fb_param.value = %SubTotal%;  ==== This works fine as this is a javascript variable on the page.    b.    fb_param.currency = 'USD';   === This does not work as you can see it is hardcoded as USD but I want it to be dynamic.So here is the question:        For fb_param.currency = 'USD';    I want the ‘USD’ to be dynamic on the page based on an asp:hiddenfield on the source.  Everything I try to access this hidden field variable doesn’t seem to work the way I think it should.        <input type='hidden' name='satlCurrencyType' id='satlCurrencyType' value='USD' />I have created a dataElement for it called CurrencyTypeI have tried to access the variable with jQuery  :

I'm tagging a site that's almost entirely built on a single html page. So as they move through the site, I need to trigger s.t() calls based either on what they click on, or what elements become visible. I'm trying the 2nd route, firing a call when certain elements enter the Viewport. Hopefully that is the right approach--would a non-visible element within the viewport fire something off in DTM? If so, then I'm going about this the wrong way. But I must be doing something wrong regardless, because nothing's firing for me. Here's my rule: - Event-based Rule with these Conditions: -->Event Type: enters viewport (immediately)--> Tag: <div>--> "manually assign properties & attributes" checked--> id = bookingStepsAnd that ties to an s.t() call in Adobe Analytics. Any ideas why that wouldn't work?

I am working on a basic implementation of DTM on a secure site. When I navigate the site, I can see the data that should be set in the debugger as well as in the browser console. The tool and rules are firing as expected. However, when I log in to adobe analytics to view the data, there is none. I have checked and doublechecked the suite ID and just about everything else I could think of. I compared it to a successful implementation and both are configured alike. Has anyone ever had a similar experience?Thanks!Chad

I've been having problems getting DTM to update rules after I approve and publish. I'm not sure if I just have to wait for the cache to clear out, or if there is a way to clear it manually. For example, I updated a Lead Success to fire a custom event and I also changed the title. However, after not seeing the event fire in digital pulse debugger, I noticed in the _SATELLITE that the name isn't updating so I'm assuming that's why the change I added to the rule isn't working either. I've notice this happen before when I've tried deactivating a rule and it still fires. Why does this happen and what can be done about it?   

HiWe have a number of sites that use s.contextData on the page and we use the s_code to pick up the value and write it into props and evars etc.  Some are also using processing rules as well.Using DTM and AppMeasurement.js we're unable to get contextdata to work.  We have a block of code on the page as follows:<script type="text/javascript"> if(s){ s.contextData["page"] = "product.category"; } </script>It seems to be getting re-initialised when the DTM code actually loads and we're therefore unable to use it.  Is this correct?  Does DTM and AppMeasurement still support contextData in this manner?Any advise would be appreciated.ThanksTim

I have a click event rule that fires once in Chrome and FF, but twice in IE. The debugger gives me this:SATELLITE: detected click on A SATELLITE: Rule "My rule" fired. SATELLITE: detected click on A SATELLITE: Rule "My rule" fired. What causes this in IE?

HiI am trying to implement DTM with "AA page code already present on page", using the same s_code.js URL as for the present page code. I specify Object name = "s2".Now Event based rules are fired, but it seems that the AA tool settings associated with it are not considered, no beacon is generated neither, while custom JavaScript associated to the same rule is executed just all right.As soon as I uncheck the "AA code present" option, everything works well.Am I missing something?Many thanksMarco

Hello, I am new to DTM and I have set up a few data elements and I need to set the page name on every page but there is no page refresh.  The page names are defined in the data layer.  How do I create a rule, specifically, to capture the page name depending on what it is defined in the data layer?

We are facing some issue regarding the page load rules.Below are the steps we followed:. We created 2 page load rules, and set them to Trigger at "Top of page".. In one rule we added "Sequential Javascript" and in the other we added "Non sequential Javascript".As per DTM documentation, the expectation was "Sequential Javascript" code should have always executed before the "Non sequential javascript".However, this is showing random behavior, sometimes the sequential javascript rule gets executed before the non-sequential javascript rule; and sometimes the non-sequential javascript rule executes first.What we want to achieve here is to always execute a "Rule 1" first before another "Rule 2". We are creating these rules to trigger at "Top of page".Even if we create both the rules with "Non-sequential javascript", is there any way we can set the order of the rules so that one rule always fires before the other rule.In other words, in what order does DTM will execute 2 rules to be triggered

We have an internal site we are tracking, which is a single page which uses Angular.js framework to change views and content. I've set up some code within Angular to fire the s.t() call every time a "page" displays. The s.t() call works as expected for each 'page' rendered by the Angular code. What I'm running into though is on the initial load of the URL, we are getting two s.t() calls: 1 - A 'generic' call which has no pageName specific data, since that is set within the Angular display code. I'm assuming this is the s.t() triggered by the pageBottom() function. We do not want this as it fires before the Angular code has a chance to build and populate the required values.2 - The s.t() call fired by the Angular code as it is triggered when that code displays the first 'page' content. This is working as expected and is the call we want.Once past the initial page load, only a single s.t() call is being made for each new "page". My question is what is the best way to stop the empty call

Getting started with DTM.  Our legacy analytics implementation (with which I'm only vaguely familiar) is based on s_code.js with the media and integrate modules andsome custom js code we have developed.  We've decided to start using appmeasurement.js and its related sources (for media, integrate and visitor id) for this integration.I've set up the Adobe Analytics tool in a test property and published.  I've looked over the generated javascript code that I am supposed to embed and I don't see anythingthere that looks like it might have come from my 'managed' s_code.  Does DTM re-implement the functionality from which ever s_code-ish code I decide to use?  If so, what isthe purpose of specifying the s_code that is to be used?

Hi,I have recently started using DTM. Overall, the tool gets a double thumbs up! But, I am facing issue in tracking certain exit links. To track this link i have put the event type as 'click' and i have tried putting the tag both as li#careerTool and a.flyoutBtn . I am then clicking on s.tl() exit link and setting the props/evars/events that shall be fired when this event takes place.Upon debugging. In the DTM debugger, DTM tracks a click on A and the rule is fired. In the omnibug/digital pulse, two images are getting fired simultaneously. And is getting doubly recorded in Sitecatalyst as

In the console, I can access the element's value by typing:consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategorywhich returns:"MAPD" But when I try to create a data element to do the same thing, I get empty quotes:_satellite.getVar('planCategory')"" My attempts to create a functioning data element include:- JS Object, with Path = window.consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategory- JS Object, with Path = consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategory- Custom Script, with window.consumerJSON.planProfiles[0].planCategory in the editorSo far, all of the above are giving me_satellite.getVar('planCategory')""or_satellite.getDataElement('planCategory')""in the console Any ideas what I could do differently so that the data element populates with"MAPD" ? Thanks! 

Adobe Analytics now lets you move report suites from one company to another. We're in this situation right now: our company's data is now going to be accessible from our own company's login rather than the agency that introduced us to Adobe. Does anyone know if the same functionality exists for DTM? Or will I have to rebuild all of the profiles, rules, etc. in our own DTM version?thanks!Craig
