We are using Channel Adviser to place a pixel on our site, and return a cookie in some cases.  So what behavior should I expect? Using DTM, in my page I write _satellite.track("myrule");. Does that then return that code to run client-side?  Does it run on an Adobe server and just return/inject the returned code client-side?  How does it handle cookies? If it just returns the code to run client-side that'll be bad for performance, and I don't want to use DTM.  If it runs the Channel Adviser JS snippet server-side, is it smart enough to return the cookie?Thanks,Ryan

I would like to refer the staging and production satellite JS file in the page source based on the environments (Dev, Prod), instead of providing two different satellite files, one for staging and one for production. For that I thought of using FTP option by hosting these files from our server instead of using amazon Question 1: What are the features of FTP delivery? why shouldn't we use FTP instead of amazon?Question 2: Will FTP delivery serve my purpose of referring the staging and production satellite JS files depends on the environment?Question 3: If FTP delivery service is chosen, i believe the content in the JS file will automatically get updated whenever i make minor changes in DTM.                         Please confirmQuestion 4: Is there any limitations in using FTP delivery?Please help me understand the usage of DTM FTP delivery as soon as possibeThanks,Venkatesh

How do I populate a tag with a simple js alert test in DTM?

Hi, I've just started using DTM on my client's site.I'm wondering if it's possible to set multiple properties on a single site.(I mean there occur multiple requests for different container js files, on the same time, the same page) Usually there should be no need to do so, but I have an issue on controlling users's roles (e.g. User A should only maintain the rules on property A, User B on property B.)I tried, and it looks working, but I couldn't find any references about that on the help site of DTM. Thanks for any help.Masaharu

Using DTM event based rules, I'm trying to set a number to an event, and would like Sitecatalyst to increment that custom event by said value.It is a form based event (submit), but I am not receiving any data in SC. Code in the "Adobe Analytics" portion of the rule is as follows:s.events="event35="+len; s.linkTrackVars="events"; s.linkTrackEvents="event35";where 'len' is a number to increment by.I have another counter event associated with this which simply increments by 1, and that performs only when this event35 is not defined in DTM.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I'm working on this site http://www.smithandforgehardcider.com/AV and I set some rules for onclick events, the thing is that when I click on any of them they fire the rule but also they fire the pageload rule i created for each of the sections of the page. Is there a way to avoid this from happening? The rules for the onclick needs to be st() since i need them to show a page name and channel.I appreciate the help you can provide :)

I'm working with a site that's built a lot like an app--almost everything is on one html page. So I have to craft a page-to-page journey based either on what they click, or what shows up on the page. So is there a way to fire off a call when a certain element becomes visible? There are tons of elements that are hidden, and if I build an event-driven rule that waits for them to enter the viewport, they fire off even when they're hidden, which is no good to me.thanks!Craig

I'd like to know how to use the client's IP address as a rule condition in DTM.  I'd like to be able to include or exclude based on IP address using regular expressions for matching.  Is there a clean way to do this?  Thanks, -Stew

Hello Everyone,Having an issue with DTM analytics implementation. One of the props is used to capture the previous pagename and this is populated using the Data Element which in turn contains this piece of code "return s.getPreviousValue(s.pageName, 's_gpv_pn');". This always returns empty/no value, and this seems to be the issue, because you expect it return the previous page's pagename.The rest of the eVars and Props are populated correctly.The DTM Analytics setup looks like below,Tool (Sitecatalyst):- Load adobe analytics page code at "Page Bottom"- The s-code is managed in the editor.Rule (Global Page Load): - Trigger rule at "Bottom of Page"All suggestions welcomed.Regards,Riyaz

HiI was hoping someone can help me with the followingI am trying to create an condition to exclude a URL from loading a third party JavaScript, so far I have added the code to Javascript/Third party tags > the JS is set to load sequentially and I have included a condition to 'exclude' the URL paths but I can still see the script loading in firebug when I visit the pages I have excludedNote:I have to use URL's because we don't have any pagenames etc on the page and we have not fully migrated to DTMIs there anyone who can help me please?

Hi,I'm having trouble getting the Adobe Target tags to work using DTM. So far I've got both google analytics and adobe analytics working on my companies home page but adobe target doesn't seem to work. Our existing implementation of adobe target places the mboxCreate script at the beginning of the <body> tag as instructed but with my DTM implementation all I get is:<div class="mboxDefault" id="mbox-target-global-mbox-1400260109591-29037" style="visibility: hidden; display: none;"></div>In DTM I've configured Adobe Target like so:[img]mboxconfig.png[/img]As you can see from the screenshot I've left the 'Create mBox Around' field blank. I wasn't sure if it was needed or not because in our existing implementation we don't place the mbox script around anything. Do I need to actually specify an element to place the mbox around for this to work using DTM? Thanks, Edwin

Is there a way to implement the s.crossVisitParticipation Omniture plugin in DTM? I'm thinking that it probably means using a Custom Code snippet in the Rule, I'm just not sure exactly how to rewrite the plugin so I can access it. thanks!Craig

Hi,At my client, we are looking at implementing DTM as a replacement for GTM (Google Tag Manager) and a lot of hardcoded tags. As you can imagine, we won't be able to migrate all these hardcoded tags and tags managed by GTM overnight.Is it possible to run both DTM and GTM together on the same page? Won't they conflict if they tag the same DOM elements or events?

I'm looking at the documentation for information regarding prepopulating forms with User data:  http://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/getting-started.htmlI couldn't find the description of the available options.  I would prefer not to pass a parameter query string with the data.  If a user is authenticated to a session, is there someway the session can look up the data and populate it server side (securely)?  If I can see the proposed options in the documentation, that would be great!  

Hi, I'm trying to use one web property with 2 adobe analytics tools. Can someone please give me some guidance on best (practices) ways to manage this? My goal is to manage two different domains that belong to the same "client" --  I wanted to use one web property with multiple domains/subdomains.Under page load rules, Conditions: regex domain (localhost) and path rules (test2.html)Adobe Analytics -- Choose Tools >I have only one of the tools checkedWhen I test on my localhost page, I see both tools firing off in Charles. My expectation was to see only one of the analytics tools to fire. Since, I only checked off one.....mmmm.What am I missing? Thanks in advance for your help.

My rule is firing in DTM, but my data element won't populate. What's wrong with it?

Is this true? Or am I reading the HTTP response headers wrong?[img]dtm-http-header.png[/img] It seems like all the scripts from DTM are not cached.  I am new to DTMs, and it just seems wrong to not cache anything client-side. [SOLVED]I was reading the headers incorrectly and DTM code is getting caching by the browser.  Thanks for all your responses.

Hello,I'm finding that implementing our code in the Adobe Analytics console takes a very long time, because we have many pages and variables for each page. I tried to copy our current page code in the editor, but it won't let me because of unexpected tokens.Here's an example of the type of page tag we are trying to place in DTM:Please let me know if there is an easier way to implement the tags in DTM.
