I am using a CQ5 social blog page. I can see the new entries are saved in the  /social/blog/components/entryform using this form element<code> <form action="<%= xssAPI.getValidHref(currentPage.getPath()) %>.social.createblogentry.html" </code>I am trying to find how does it save the Blog Entry using this component : /social/blog/components/entrytext Since this component is nowhere present in the entryform component JSP

How do you edit a PDF file in CQ5 DAM where it can then be saved directly back into DAM?

I'd like to change the default redirection status code from 302 to 301. According to this, I can do it via OSGi configuration: http://blogs.adobe.com/contentmanagement/2013/08/20/how-to-change-aems-redirection-http-status-code/ But I don't appear to have the option in the dialog (I'm on version 5.5.0) (see attached)

I'm trying to use the OOB DataSourcePool service to connect to a MySQL from AEM in order to run a basic query  Nothing fancy.  After installing my driver and setting up the connection parameters through the system console, I'm able to fetch data from the DB without any problem when accessing the DataSourcePool from a jsp page as follows:DataSourcePool service = sling.getService(DataSourcePool.class);However, I'm unable to fetch data from the DB when I try to access the DataSourcePool from another OSGI service through service injection as follows:@Referenceprivate DataSourcePool service;The latter throws an exception at the time the system is attempting to inject the service (I believe), which says the following:The bindSource method has thrown an exception (java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: argument type mismatch)Subsequently the service variable is null when I attempt to de-reference it.Any ideas?Thanks!

Hey y'all,I have a custom xtype that I'm making that incorporates a selection of a document type as one of the fields. See code below. The problem is that this field's selection is not getting saved anywhere. I've debugged the js for my custom xtype and the "value" of typeField is never anything other than undefined or "", even when I make a selection. Any idea what could be going on here? Is selection somehow incompatible with custom xtypes or is there something else I need to do or is wrong. Appreciate any help in advance! Hi all, is it possible in CQ5.6 join DAM (/content/dam) from author to publish instance? Somethink like virtual repository because our DAM is so big and i dont want to duplicate data. Any idea?

The status of the bundle in felix console reads as installed. If I try to start it, it wont. I see an error in red when I expand the bundle. I have other bundles started and running without issues. Is is possible to set the default langage of CQ5 (i.e. French) so it applies to all my groups. I don't want to set the langage individually to each group because i have hundreds of groups.

I created an osgi bundle using CQ5.5 that would use sling scheduler to add a job to run at midnight everyday.  We recently did an update to CQ5.6.1 which included the scr code and install jar, however the bundle appears to not run the activate method with my code.  I've tried stopping, restart, an uninstalling the bundle with no change.  The log returns warnings but not any errors that prevent it from successfully building.  Once I build in the console I am getting error on the component could not be activated, or SchedulerBind could not be completed.  Before the update the scheduled job did run correctly selecting a page from a folder of terms, but now it is not even printing debug statements in activate method.import java.io.Serializable;import java.util.*;import javax.jcr.*;import org.osgi.service.component.ComponentContext;import org.slf4j.Logger;import org.slf4j.LoggerFactory;import org.apache.felix.scr.annotations.Activate;import org.apache.felix.scr.annotations.Deactivate;import

I have a workflow setup where a user submits a page for review/approval. The approver needs to be able to terminate/end the workflow and send a notification email to the initiator (NOT assign the workflow back to the initiator - it needs to end altogether) with a comment on why they terminated the flow.I have the "terminate and send email" aspect working fine with a Send Email step that sends an email and auto-advances to Flow End. However, I need to include the approver's comment from the "Complete Work Item" dialog in the email and I cannot figure out the variable that I need to put in the email template.${data.startComment} or ${instance.data.startComment} retrieves the comment entered on initial workflow kick-off, but how do I get the comment from the completion dialog?This value I need seems to get stored deep in the workflow instance node hierarchy under /etc/workflow/instances/*date*/model_***/history/****/workItem/metaData with a "comment" property there, but no variable I've t

Hi, I want to render a content page for a given user. (the user is not logged in and  only userID is available) My approach was to use a servlet which does the following stepslogin as adminimpersonate user (using userID)send redirect It is possible to get a Session object using SlingRepository.loginAdministrative(null)and I can impersonate the session for the given user with session.impersonate(credentials)but the impersonation is only active in the Session object but we need an impersonate that works like the impersonate CQ provides (eg.  in /useradmin  or /siteadmin) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Michael
