I'm trying overlay the "brand" component/node found under/libs/mcm/templates/brandfor my application. I've changed the allowedPaths so that it doesn't include campaigns anymore and sticking it under this directory /apps/mcm/templates/brandFor some reason this doesn't seem to apply the changes. Does anyone have any ideas?

We have an instance of CQ 5.4 that I am trying to run on java 1.6 instead of java 1.5. This doesn't seems to work though, and we believe there may be a setting that you have to change, that was set when CQ was originally installed, to get it to use the jre-1.6 settings instead. I can see that there are some definitions in the sling.properties file, which seems to list the classes to use. Is there somewhere I need to change CQ so that it uses the jre-1.6 classe definition instead of the jre-1.5 ?The CRX starts ok and I can get into the Felix Console. But about half the bundles do not start. And when you try and manually start them you get errors about classes not being found.Thanks

Is there any place or any tools that I ca use to discover why content are disappearing? how can I look or read the log files to find something like this. Is there a limitation in the dispatcher in terms of the length of URIs that it handles?  We have run into an issue with long (but not really that long - say over 256 characters) that return a 403.  But if we access the same resource directly on the pub server, it works fine (i.e., it renders the content as expected).  We are using Apache as the web server - I don't think it is an Apache issue.

Hi,  I'm trying to use the httpclient-osgi in an osgi bundle to act as a SOAP client, and I'm getting an issue at run-time.My OSGi bundle is failing to start as its "Unable to resolve [302.23] : missing requirement : [302.23] : osgi.wiring.package; (osgi.wiring.package=com.ibm.uvm.tools)I think this means that the bundle dependencies of httpclient-osgi mean it is trying to find the code for 'com.ibm.uvm.tools', but it's unable resolve it.I've amended my Maven pom file to also <Import-Package>com.ibm.uvm.tools.*,*</Import-Package>, to try and include the code, but it didn't have any effect.Any ideas? Thanks

When Sling mapping is used, the Dispatcher cache folder structure doesn't follow content hierarchy in the repository. The Dispatcher only knows about "/us/<site>/page1.html" so no cache invalidation is performed.Most resources that I could find online recommends creating mod_rewrite rules in Apache that matches the mapping performed by Sling. Hi,I am using QueryBuilder to execute a search operation for all the cq:Page under a path. There are two custom date properties that are being set through page properties :displayStartDate and displayEndDate. All the pages for which displayStartDate <= current Date and time and displayEndDate>= current date and time should be the outcome of the search operation. I have gone through the DateRangePredicateEvaluator for this and it looks to be the solution for me. However, I am not able to make out how to use two daterange predicates in the code.type=cq:Page path=/content/mercer/global/all/en/webcasts/2014 1_daterange.property=@jcr:content/displayStartDate2_daterange.property=@jcr:content/displayEndDateand then :a) How do I set the upperOperation(<=) and lowerOperation(>=). b) In what format the current date and time should be put in.c) I also learned that there is a field called TIME_ZONE. QueryBuilder does not return relevant results. I am expecting all assets whose title has search keyword to come up first. I have tried type=dam:Assetgroup.p.or=truegroup.1_fulltext=xxxxxxgroup.1_fulltext.relPath=jcr:content/*/@dc:title but this returns assets which has keyword in their title but not all assets which has keyword in their description.

hi all,is there a configuration or log setting that allows to log whenever a user enters invalid credentials?I am invoking the j_security_check mechanism, it seems that these requests are handeled outside of Sling so I cannot write a Filter.I know that I could create a custom Login Module to do this, but I think there should be an easier option...thanks for any help,Ben

I must say I'm pretty new to CQ5 but have read through the documentation. I am using version 5.2. Requirement:Content editors can edit a field of text from the WCM.Page is rendered as json, with no HTML markup displaying that piece of text.Currently, I have it set up so I have a standard page setup editable by the WCM, with a seperate JSP (json.jsp) in the component (that the page is based on) which is called by:/content/test/page.json.htmlThis is fine when displaying children of the current content. I can get the current node, it's children and some properties. However, I cannot see things under a par-sys element in the jcr:content for that page. Another thing making this a bit tricky is that when I load this page in the WCM (the JSON page), I get a loading image in the tools menu, so cannot customise content, therefore having to use a main page

I am using that tag to externalize <a href> and src attributes .I want to externalize the <link rel="stylesheet" href="/etc/....." type="text/css"/> which is rendered from <cq:includeClientLib css="designs.testproject"> How can i use my tag which receives a URL as parameter to externalize URL rendered through a category name given in  <cq:includeClientLib> tag.My tag syntax is like this <o:link path="url to externalize"/>Please help in this .
