What are the potential pitfalls for building a knowledge base or FAQ section using CQ5?I'm doing some work for a UK based company and they currently have Oracle Right Now as a customer experience platform.  This is used to deliver the knowledgebase and it seems to have a whole lot of smarts that understand what customers are looking for, and surfaces the right knowledge at the right time.I wondered how feasible it would be to build something similar in CQ5, or would it make more sense for the company to stick with the proven solution?Interested to hear your thoughts.Thanks and Regards,Felicity.

Hi,Say we have pageA in our author instance with components 1,2 and 3.  We activate pageA and in our publish instance, we see pageA with components 1,2 and 3.We remove component 2 from pageA in author, activate and see the updated pageA in publish with components 1 and 3.We added component 4,5 and removed 1 from pageA in author.  We activate and now we see components 4 and 5 on pageA in publish.  However, pageA in publish has component 1. We dont' really know what happened but both pages are now different.  How do we debug this?  How can we update pageA in the publish instance so that it is the same as pageA in author?Please advise.Thank You.

When minifying javascript using the Day CQ HTML Library Manager in the Apache Felix console, how can I change the library used for compressing? The default is the YUI compressor library, which has long since been deprecated (http://www.yuiblog.com/blog/2012/10/16/state-of-yui-compressor/) and does not have the minification ability of other more modern compressors such as Uglify.js.What would be the best approach for setting up CQ to use Uglify.js as the compressor library in the same fashion that it currently uses YUI compressor?

I read up entire doc and couldn't figure out how to get contextual help added to dialog box. E.g. ? right next to a field in dialog box for useful information. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The content author team created few pages which we need to port from one CQ instance to another. I opened up package manager on source and added all of 30 pages as individual filter and build / download.On target instance, opened package manager and uploaded the ZIp and installed. When i verified few pages within target instance, thee component/content does not copied over completely.What could be the reason? Any suggestions or pointers are welcome.

Hi,I have requirement where I need to call a javascript function inside "href" of anchor tag in RTE. But, whenever I do this, the entire anchor tag vanishes on clicking OK. I suppose this is a CQ5 RTE out of the box feature.Can anyone suggest a way to overcome this ?Thanks in advance :)Subhra

Hello Team,I have a requirement to show up the tags only for tag path /etc/tags/facebook/work. I played with tagsBasePath as /etc/tags/facebook/work to get only facebook work tags displayed. But when I click on the tag to get added, tag is not getting added. When I digged into the code, I am seeing the following error. Hi,I upgraded the version of CQ from 5.5 to 5.6.1. When I deployed my components, it did not worked and when I checked the bundle it gave the following error - org.apache.fop.apps,version=[0.95,1) -- Cannot be resolved.To solve this, I updated the xmlgraphics - fop version to 1.1 and then I started getting error while building itself which was like problem in downloading the avalon framework api/imp artifacts of version 4.2.0.If I change the version of FOP to 1.0, the build was successfull but the first error was there and now I saw in the release note of 5.6.1, its clearly mentioned that they use FOP version 1.1. What should I do to solve the avalon artifact download issue. I get this error while building if I use FOP 1.1 version. Pls suggest.Thanks,Ravi

Is there a way to transfer images off of scene7 to a developer site via FTP, or do they need to be exported to the local site first before transferring?  The export function can be an extensive project that is time consuming... Thank you for any help!

It is working if I use it is inside "onclick", but I want it to work inside "href".Eg. We're experiencing an odd issue with our Dispatchers and some of the images in our content tree. In some cases, requests for images are returning a 403 status. The really odd thing is that this only seems to happen after the Dispatcher has actually cached the image. If the Dispatcher cache is empty and an image is requested it will be requested from the pub, delivered to the requester, and cached. All subsequent requests result in a 403 response. I saw this post that mentions the (https://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/5-4/deploying/dispatcher.html) Dispatcher returning 403's, but the article says that issue is only on Apache 1.3 and we're running Apache 2.2

I am getting the below error when opening the ../system/console/jcrresolver, Only a portion of the page opens and then errors out. This AEM instance is installed on an Amazon Linux EC2 instance where I replaced open jdk with jdk7_u25. Earlier I thought that this could be a jdk issue but with same jdk7_u25 version - jcrresolver seems to be working fine fine on a local instance on my windows machine.Any idea, what is breaking the jcrresolver on my EC2 instance? In process of upgrading to AEM from CQ5.4, facing few challenges.Deleted custom code in CQ 5.4 and upgraded to AEM and was able to access WCM and other AEM console pages.After upgrading to AEM, the installation of custom or project code is bringing down (services are turned unregistered) most of the felix framework and custom services. Please give the hints and share the details if any configurations need to be done for  custom authentication handlers or any changes need to be done for filters. Got to know filters were made strict in AEM.Note: All of these custom OSGi bundles are perfectly working fine in CQ 5.4
