We have site built on CQ for which a login is required. Can we have dispatcher caching enabled for this site? Any recommendations for this use-case?

I copied the example code exactly, but it won't compile. Hi, I'm trying to implement a grid component . I have followed the below documentation for reference .http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-custom-cq-component-uses.htmlIf I run the js files from the above link, I'm able to see a grid render in a window, however my requirement is to show a grid with data in a CQ dialog and on Click of 'OK' save the values in content page node as properties .  Can any one guide me , how I can change the script from above link to show in a dialog instead of page or any other examples of showing a instance of cq grid editor panel in a dialog. thanks in advance

Hello. I've an issue when I connect CRXDE with CQ5.5. In JSP's editor, the Java Content Assist is not available. So, it can't resolve 'resource', 'currentPage', etc. I don't have this issue when I connect CRXDE with CQ5.4. Anybody has the same issue? Thanks.

In AEM 6, did anyone tried to create a new website following these steps:http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/develop/the-basics/website.html#Installing Adobe Experience ManagerI got stuck as following:1. WebDAV to the etc/... ==> Seems that in Windows 7 there is a an issue that does not allow access as admin user. After some searching I found the post to use "CloudSafe WebDAV drirve" to overcome this issue2. In the section "Creating your Website Page and Content Pages" I got stuck when to create my new page. There are no templates shown in the "Create Page" section. Not sure if this has change from v5.6.1 to v6, but for now I will not continue.In the end my purpose is to develop a brand new site with my own layout, headers, footers, colors, images, .. etc, etc,. and manage the content through AEM.

Our development author node went down today with the following error on every page: org.apache.sling.api.scripting.ScriptEvaluationException: org.apache.sling.scripting.jsp.jasper.JasperException: /apps/myApp/components/page/base/base.jsp(1,1) The absolute uri: http://www.day.com/taglibs/cq/1.0 cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application It's failing at the setup of the tag libraries in /libs/wcm/global.jsp There's nothing we did out of the ordinary, just some standard component edits and then this error. I've searched around for a few hours but can't find anything to solve the issue. Any ideas would be gratefully received

I have recently created a site with CQ5.4 using the cq-quickstart-5.4.0.jar executable jar file.  In my file structure I have an author folder and a publish folder in which I am running my author and publish instances respectively.  I have been able to make changes to the Geomtrixx site and see the changes reflected on the publish instance, so I know the replication is working.  However, when I create a new site and "Activate" it (doing so through both WCM and the "Tools->Replication->Activate Tree" mechanism it shows in the UI that it was published.  The logs also indicate that the replication was successful.  However when trying to access the pages on the publish instance, blank HTML pages are renderd.  Oddly enough the pages are not 100% blank, they render with an HTML, HEAD, META, and BODY tag, but with no content in the tags. This indicates to me that some sort of replication has occured, because the page renders blank.  If I type in the URL of a page that doesn't exist, the

Hi, We have implemented a RESTful webservice client in CQ5 using Apache Jersey. We have run into an encoding issue in the webservice response for special characters.Special characters in Swedish & German languages (umlauts etc) do not show up correctly. The returned xml is being utf-8 decoded.In Eclipse console, running as a standalone java application, I can see the response coming fine. The problem comes when the same client is bundled and deployed to CQ5. The response now contains '?' for the special characters. Does anybody have any idea how this issue could be resolved?Is this a CQ5 server encoding issue?Thanks

HiI have published the image on my test environment. But still on test environment, when I am trying to access the image, it's giving the following error:The image "http://tst03.stage.com/ecarecms/media/myproject/images/modal-close.png" cannot be displayed because it contains errors.But when I am opening this same image without using CQ environment, it's opening fine without giving any errors.Any idea why I am getting this error?  Thanks,Dimple

Hi, I've been trying to develop a photo gallery for a day now but I am still stuck. The component should display a selected photo with a thumbnail display of the album under the photo. There should be slide show functionality for display of photos. Can somebody please give me pointers on how to do this?

Hi,One of my colleague tried installing a package on Shared Author environment (Size was approx 400Mb). The upload was not successful and server went quite funny so we decided to restart the server. However, after that the server isn't starting. We are working on 5.6.1. When i hit the url servername:4502 i get not found but /system/console is coming up fine. How can I reorder Assets, in situation, where there's more than one page of assets? I simply have a folder in DAM, which contains a lot of pdf files and I need to move one Asset from page 5, to page 1. Is there a way to achieve that in DAM console? Or maybe the only solution is to use CRXDE and reorder nodes directly?

Apologies for the long post, having worked on a few 6.0 projects, I had some general questions about the best practice way to work with AEM 6.0. It seems now we have many different ways to create templates and components, but what is the right way?Basic 5.x Development model:Create JSP’s that use JSLT or custom taglibs to interact with OSGi code, and then ExJs framework to create UI’s for the components.Now with the introduction of AEM 6.0 I am not sure any more. Hi,I am using sling internal queuing mechanism and I have set no. of retries to 10. My process fails to retry sometimes after 2nd retry and sometimes after 5th.Job also gets stuck in the event queue and even event node doesn't get deleted.However when I set no. of retries to 5, it completes successfully.Any pointers on this or is there any correct way to set this job parameter specially - "no. of retries".My part of my xml is:<jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:jcr="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0"    jcr:primaryType="sling:OsgiConfig"     projectstatus.job.retries="{String}3" />I am using CQ 5.6.0 and sling event admin version 3.1.4.Regards,Shallu Rohilla
