Hi ,I want to hide some columns in siteadmin based on some condition. I tried writing listers for it, beforerender/beforeshow to hide the column in siteadmin.js but it does not seem to work. The xtype of the column is gridcolumn.If anyone has any suggestions about the kind of approach that can be implemented, please let me know. Thanks and Regards,Ankush

Hi, Our current implementation invloves passing a serialised object via a GET request to a Sling servlet, it is deserialsed, the object is added as a request attribute and forwarded  to a relavent JSP page depending on a property in the object.This implementation will not work for large amounts of data due to the limitations of HTTP GET. HTTP POST requests do not work in Adobe CQ as it thinks that we are modifing the resource. We need another way to pass in our object to the Servlet and return HTML. How is this possible/feesable in Adobe CQ? Thanks, Ryan

Hi There , I 'm struck with a unique requirement where ,  in a dialog using a path field , when the author selects a particular node and presses tab , i have to display the full list of properties of the node under the path field as a list or table editor so that the author can have them editable . So lets say in my jcr I have 'nodeA ' with following properties   'name' = ''nodeA' ,'value'='A',code='A'Author in a dialog of a component which has path field select nodeA and clicks on tab , the properties of node should be displayed under the path field in a table or list manner and have them editable so that he can change the name from 'nodeA' to 'nodeAA' .Any one has done any similar requirement before . I may need to create a custom xtype or have some script triggered on selection changed listener  .  Does any one have any better thoughts on achieving this functionality ?  Any pointers on developing this custom xtype or script ? Thanks in advance

I am in the process of a creating a couple workflows. My first step in the workflow is to create a version. Interestingly, It worked the first time I ran the workflow and it created the version correctly. Second time I ran the workflow, I started getting errors from the CreateVersionProcess class as below: it looks like the class unable to create a label for the version. I tried using both OOTB Version process and Process Step then on the Process dropdown chose Create Version. I am using 5.4. I'm attempting to add a style to the drop down style box on the rte. I followed the instructions found on http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-4/administering/configuring_rich_text_editor.html. After adding the node under text/rtePlugins/styles/styles, all of the options for the plugin are disabled. The buttons (such as the bold, italics, underline, etc...) are no longer clickable. While I can still select styles from the paraformat and style drop downs, they do not change the appearance of my text. Moreover, although I can change the text in the rte, the changes are not reflected in the page after I click ok. I have attached a snapshot of my node hierarchy for the dialog node. Please let me know if I should include any other information.Thanks!

Hi Guys,I am using AEM 6.0 . I want to enable Lock/ Unlock feature for my DAM assets. But this is not straight forward as seen on classic UI.Moreover i am not able to use any properties such as hidden, conditions, handlers and listeners.Please suggest the best way to implement the same .RegardsHarish

Hi Gurus , Basically I'm trying to simulate the below code from jsp  in  Java code by  using apache httpclient . The code from simply does a post and behind the scens slingPostServlet takes care of rest based on params passed . So i'm trying to follow the same principle and using apache httpPost.execute (java code below)  , however it returns a 401 error code indicating authentication error  . i'm posting this to my local host cq , do i need to pass any extra headers as params to post method ?  Hi,I just wanted to check if anyone had an elegant solution to this problem - I use Git heavily in my workflow and I very often checkout my project and have a lot of touched files due to the cq:lastReplicat* properties changing. When using the search API, sometimes if you call hit.excerpt(), you see errors get thrown in the logs and the output to the screen includes parts of html elements.  For example, the output might include literal as below: handbook.pdf']); href="https://forums.adobe.com/longpathgoeshere/file.pdf" I can't find the source to check, but my guess is that the excerpt code looks at properties of content nodes, finds the matching text in that node, and then grabs some amount of text on either side of the item that was found, which might land it in the middle of an html tag, so it can't cleanly remove the tag.  Just guessing. Is this a known issue, and is there a work-around for this? I'm on 5.6.0 Thanks, David

Hi,  I just get a small CQ5 project of resizing the smartImage. Right now, I have two options. One Node jcrContent = currentNode.getNode("image/jcr:content"); String imagePath = jcrContent.getPath(); Resource imageRes = resourceResolver.getResource(imagePath); Image img = new Image(imageRes); img.setItemName(Image.NN_FILE, "image"); img.setSrc(img.getPath()); img.setSelector("img");Once it is done, i will just use <image src="<%= img.getSrc() %>" width="35%" heigh="35%" /> to display a easy resized picture.Option Two, extend the AbstractImageServlet to do a real resizing work.(This I havn't done yet).My question is do these two approaches achive the same image quanlity? Thank you

Would it be possible for someone to test following assumption? I'm afraid the tutorials, explaining how to create a custom xtype, require an update. I followed the 2 tutorials as mentioned below. They used to work with AEM 5.6 but don't work anymore with AEM 6.0 (but don't mention the support of AEM 6.0)http://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-aem-multifield-components.htmlhttp://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-custom-xtype.html The document http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/develop/components/widgets.html is entirely AEM 6.0 specific but doesn't contain the required javascript (causing the problem).  Please find below 2 images and a short description of the behavior: - the CustomWdiget javascript is triggered partially but the constructor is never invoked (is invoked in AEM 5.6) - as a consequence, I never see my 2 or 3 fields in the dialog but I only get a (default) textfieldMany thanks in advance, Wim

How to get user's properties and user's group in AEM 5.6 using com.adobe.granite api

Iam following according to the procedure providedin the link "http://experience-aem.blogspot.in/2013/12/aem-cq-56-adding-images-in-multifield.html" and using the same js file for adding images to a multifield,but am getting an error of "Cannot read property 'name' of undefined"  in the js file of clientlibs.How can i clear the error and add the images to a multifield?

Hello,I am running CQ5.4, and I am attempting to set up a local instance. I followed the instructions found on http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-4/howto/installingcq.html, however, my server is not launching. I am getting the following error in my stderr.log file: Exception in shutdown polling thread, giving up: java.io.IOException: Stream closedShutdown polling thread endsRetrying http://localhost:7502/crx (ConnectException) (1/60)...log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (com.day.commons.httpclient.impl.ProxySelector).log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.Retrying http://localhost:7502/crx (ConnectException) (3/60)...And then it continues to retry until it quits, and I get the message, "Server not ready, browser not launched." I could see JCR OAK is CMIS complient here but does it also mean that AEM6/CRX repository is CMIS complient? I  could not find any documentation around this. Also I understand that AEM 5.6.1 or older version of CRX was not CMIS complient, so I'm hopping that AEM6 is CMIS complient. Please confirm anybody has info.Thanks!

i have implemented advance features of search like stemming , synonym search in adobe cq 5.6.Both the above mentioned features are working correctly when they are implemented individually . But when i use stemming and synonym search together , the stemming feature is takes preference and synonym feature does not work . is it possible that both work together ?E.g (~SearchQuery~)
