Hi there,I notice that the any text of page defined as a node type, illustrate following:[img]text.png[/img]So if AEM developer to define a new page from previous template, but i don't know how to auto-create that node text and title and so on. Hi,I'm a volunteer at a local museum and have been asked to optimize the museum website to obain a quality label for the visually impaired.One of the requirements put forward by the auditor is that every image on the website has a meaningful ALT-attribute.However I find it's very difficult to add ALT-attributes for every single image on the website. This envolves editing every single image in the assets and republishing every page.My question: is it possible at all to edit the HTML code directly in Adobe CQ so as to make it less complicated and speed things up?Thanks in advance,Steve

Hi,We have just noticed that pages on our sites can be access with arbitrary extensions. For example, http://www.mysite.com/home.html, is also being served with http://www.mysite.com/home.php, http://www.mysite.com/home.asp, http://www.mysite.com/home.do, http://www.mysite.com/home.foo as well as http://www.mysite.com/home.php.html, http://www.mysite.com/home.asp.html, etc.I can disable all these extensions in the dispatcher.any, but this is not elegant, as I either have to add lots of deny lines or accidentally disable valid extensions.Is there an elegant way to prevent this from happening? Thanks in advance,Behrang

I installed packages from one server to another server.I can see the components in sidekick of server1  but in server2 sidekick is an empty.I found one solution thru forum, that says:Make sure that /etc/design/default exists. I would suggest to rebuild that path again and try.I have one  package from etc folder     etc/design/mydesignI checked  /etc/designs/default/jcr:content/landingpage/body  That is available in server1 but not availabe in server2 . It may be an issue ?If this is issue how can i resolved it ?

Hi,I am trying to implement the Offloading mechanism in multiple AEM 6.0(SP1) author instances(non-clustered). The thing I observed is, I can able to connect all of the instances in a topology, but the offloading is not working! I tried using "DAM Upload Asset Offloading" workflow in one instance. Ideally, that image should show up in all the instances which are all connected in the topology. But, it is not happening. Please let me know whether it is a known issue with 6.0, or am I doing something wrong in it? If yes, then kindly send me some links or video links, where I can refer it. I was wondering which if it is preferable to have as much Java code inside a component to be held inside of OSGI bundles created in eclipse using maven. A co worker argues to me that there is no need to use osgi bundles, and that we can do it all inside of JSP.I am of the contrary opinion. It is also my proposition that the AEM documentation recommends OSGI bundles and using as little java code inside the jsp as possible. My colleague says that the documentation does not support or recommend this. Now I do not care if I am wrong or right on a personal basis, I just want to make an informed decision.The project has now grown to a complexity where we need to make a strategic decision on this issue.So, which hypothesis is correct, or is there a better middle ground between the two? Best RegardsClive Stewart

Good afternoon, Quick question about AEM Certification.  We are a small business that isn't currently able to provide the budget to send 5 team members to AEM training.  However, we are sending one member early next year.I was wondering what the ability to become certified AEM developers is for developers who are trained outside of Adobe.  Are they able to take the certification test without having attended the training?

I have created a custom form action which contains the following:  dialog, addfields.jsp, forward.jsp.I am using the add fields.jsp to construct a simple form and a submit button. My intention is that when the user submits, to form data is sent to another component where i invoke a service and then change the display with the result of the service. I have tried using post.POST.jsp  to handle the form data, and this works as expected, but forward.jsp gives me a blank screen. I am suing the example in/libs/foundation/components/form/actions/mailas suggested by this document [http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/current/developing/developing-forms.html]Could you please explain how i should use the forward.jp functionality correctly.Many Thanks

In my project I had to add the default OOTB mBOX component to the sidekick in order for authors to allow creating mboxes across the site. Going through adobe documentation, I found that we have to include cq/personalization/components/clientcontext after start of body tag and cq/cloudserviceconfigs/components/servicecomponents before end of body tag.All went fine, until a user reported that the whole site is looking weird and everything is out of place. On inspecting we found that  most of the javascript plugins and normal javascript code wasnt executing and that was leading to most things out of place. Then we found that it was happening because of COOKIES Disabled in that user's Firefox.When we enabled the cookies on that browser, everything looked great as always.We then DISABLED the cookies again and removed the include of cq/personalization/components/clientcontext from start of body tag. Now even with Disabled cookies the site wide js ran smoothly without any issues. All looked f

Hi,We have a template page (let's call it templateA) where we have built pages with.  Let's say we have pages pageA and pageB.  The constructed page pageA works correctly.  All links (for eg. /content/global/en_us/index/solutions/index.html) are resource mapped correctly (eg /solutions/index.html).  However, the constructed page pageB works incorrectly.  All links do not get resource mapped.  We are trying to find out why this is happening.  We have tailed the logs and we did not find any errors that would indicate failure in the resource mapping.  We went to system/console/jcrresolver and paths are getting mapped.  We looked at the browser's developer console and there have been no errors.  Any advice on where else to look?Thank You.

HI,when I go on Traffic source -> Search engine all, I get the 70% of my traffic as unknown. Is this due to the google encrypted search? If yes, why the rest, let's say 25%, is still coming from google and I am able to see it? i.e. Google, Google - Japan, Google Brasil etc.Many thanks,G.

I made an excel file full of report builder requests two weeks ago, and if I reopen it and log in to report builder, there seem to be no more report builder requests. I do see the old results, but I cannot update the file, and if I click 'manage' in the add in tab, it says there are no requests.Any ideas on how to solve this (other then remaking the excel)?

Hi,I'm currently assisting in the set up of a new report suite and have noticed that by default several metrics i.e. cart additions, checkouts etc, are automatically added to reports i.e. the pages report. Many of these metrics are not relevant to the site we're reporting on/not collecting any data, and are likely to confuse end users. I want to know if there is a simple way to hide Standard metrics from out of the box reports.ThanksTobz

Hi - let me set up the scenario:  We have a process on our site which allows a user to price an item (not unlike getting a quote for an item).  We have a "price confirmation" event that shows that the user viewed the price.  The user has the ability to save this price and retrieve it later.  There is a unique id assigned when the user views a price, so that the user can come back later and retrieve the originally generated price.  The unique id (transaction id) is stored in an eVar, and when we run the eVar report, ideally we'd like to see one price confirmation event per transaction id.   If the user agrees to the price, they can come back later and purchase the item, which at that time a purchase id is assigned along with a purchase confirmation event (we aren't using any of the ecommerce vars for this).The issue I'm running into is when a user returns and retrieves the original price transaction, the price confirmation event is fired again and I'm getting a few pricing transaction I

Hello,I inherited a website that uses omniture and siteCatalyst but I cannot seem to get any credentials to log into the existing omniture account associated with the site.  I was just wondering what the steps are to transition all of the sites tags and reports from the pervious omniture account to a new account that I have access to?I hope that makes sense, if its not obvious I do not know much about omniture.thanks

Now that calculated metrics are "share-able" If I have segment built into a calculated metric and share with co-worker A.  However, co-worker A does not have the segment shared with them. Does the calculated metric still work for co-worker A?

Hi,I have encountered this problem for a long time. when trying to sign into Report Builder, I got this error message:"The user Login process was unsuccessful, an invalid company was specified."The basic information have all been checked, and I have send the issue to Adobe ClientCare also. However, the problem is still not solved. The detailed information was that the English Desktop can login successfully in our company network, but Chinese Desktop can't. My Desktop Operation is Chinese Win7.My IT team investigated it and came to a conclusion that when Chinese Desktop login, the Report Builder send a request which is an IP URL like https://66.235.132.65/*, but when English Desktop login, the Report Builder send a request which is a domain URL like https://*.adobe.com/*. So the IP request is blocked by our inside network, and can not send the login information.Does anybody know this? Is it a BUG of adobe?
