Hi,I am using Reports and Analytics version 15. Based on the article Updated Time Spent Calculation, it seems that version 15 calculates average time spent on page more accurately by controlling how traffic variables change from one page view  to another and by time-stamping server calls.Which reports should I use to fetch the most accurate data for "average time spent on a page" and "Time Spent per visit" for a specified time period? I mean, I wud like the following:1) The "average time spent on a page" metric should display a time as close as the actual time the user spends on a page, including clicks to links, video views etc. but NOT visits to a new page opened from a new tab within the same browser. Basically, I wud like the value of  "average time spent on a page" to be as close to the the time spent by the user during a particular session in which he interacts with a particular page. 2) The "Time Spent per visit" should be as close as possible to the actual time spent by on site

Hello - I'm working with tagging a new site using ATM 2.0.  I have a new site tag and container. Hi,I am running ClickMap on Firefox and can see the overlays, but no click information (see attachment) for most of the overlays. Anyone have any ideas why? I have the check boxes checked for Auto Flag 20 top values, display page and display overlays. HELP! PLEASE! :) TIA

Hi all,First of all, thanks for allowing people to share comments/questions in regards to Adobe Analytics; it's really appreciated.We have a client for which we're running into an issue as per reporting (display and gathering of data).When we're using one of the default report (Entry Pages), our client website have URLs longer than 100 characters. Therefore, information being displayed are truncated in the middle of the URL with a format like : http://www.clientsample.com/en/this/is/grea...example.phpThe problem is that when we're exporting this report, obviously, all URLs are truncated. I've noticed also that the hyperlink of all those URLs are not truncated. We've obviously tried to get a custom script to do a find and replace of all <a> values with their <href> values but there's something blocking us from modifying the page. Although this wouldn't have solved the reporting export problem, we would still have copy/paste information from the screen.Also, to this point, we

Hello,I'm looking for a way to track when users leave the site immediately after they perform an internal search - and I need this by search term. Similar to how Google Analytics has Search Exits number of searches a visitor made immediately before leaving the site.I hope somebody awesome can help out! I asked client care but still waiting on their response after almost a week.Background: I can trend Site Exits at the Page Name Level with pathing reports. Basically I select my Search Results pagename and generate pathing flow report. I can see Site Exits from the Search Results page, not a problem. But now I need to go in deeper to determine which keywords are making users leave the site. I have a prop that only tracks internal search terms. When there is a new term the new one overwrites the old one. I also have pathing enabled in this prop that allows me to add some new metrics:- Exits metric it doesn't really tell me someone left the site after they searched for a term. It just tell

HiI am Adobe certified expert trying to install SDK 4 to 2 clients. SDK4 is new and unfortunately there is not enough documentation explaining all the new stuff in HELP. I know JavaScript but I don't know mobile development and when I show these requirements to mobile developers they also don't understand it. There are no examples of the possible values of the variables. Has anyone seen a problem with the Android mobile app SDK not responding after the app has been sitting in the background?I'm having a problem with the SDK in our Android app. It stops reporting data to Sitecatalyst after the app has been in the background for an extended period of time. It is communicating fine in the evening, but when I pick up the device in the morning, it isn't communicating to Sitecatalyst. It works on most devices, but I have found a handful (haven't identified the link yet) that this happens to on a daily basis. When I clear the app from memory and relaunch it, everything reports correctly.I can see through my Charles proxy that there are communications with our servers and other 3rd party integrations, but not calls to Adobe. After I kill the app and relaunch it, I can see the calls flowing as expected.Anyone else have experience with the SDK for mobile apps?

Using Omniture + Report Builder (Excel) , I'm trying to calculate year-to-date unique visitors on a weekly basis. Right now, this is a manual process:The "Year" start date is September 30. So to find out YTD unique visitors for each day last week, I calculate unique visitors for September 30 - December 9...then September 30 - December 10...then September 30 - December 11, etc. etc. We realize this isn't an ideal way to get this metric, but it's what the client wants. Anyone have a suggestion for a formula in order to automate this through Report Builder?

Hi,We customized the library of our DPS app, implemented SC and I'd like to understand how some metrics work.For instance, for all of our library's available actions, we set events to count how many users are using each feature.This is how we implemented when a search is done: trackEvent(2,{"customVariable5": "search"});I'd like to know how many users searched something, so just for understanding purposes, I selected 3 metricsCustom Event 2InstancesUnique VisitorsThen I got the results, which make sense...Custom Event 2: 2389Instances: 2389Unique Visitors: 1548But for the Unique Visitors column, I've got a 19900 value associated with "None" Interaction (Custom Var), which is the number of Unique Visitors we had in the selected period.My question is: Is it possible to know how many Unique Visitors did some specific interaction?Thanks

HiI'm looking for a way to grab specific elements of SiteCat data (browser type, device type etc etc) at the point an order is placed so that I can transmit it on our sales order message and store the data inside our sales order system..On the face of it, surely it is as simple as extracting the data from the SiteCat variable and populating it into our sales order, but is this the right way to do it? Is this even possible?!The alternative would be to send all order numbers generated by our website into SiteCat and report that way (by order number), but this won't give us the flexibility we need to be able to provide our customer service team with some user data in their own system.Does anyone have any thoughts on this?Thanks in advance,Alex. 

[Incident: 131212-000329]Please, please, please help. I work for a little company called Walmart, and I need this issue resolved. I am a qualified site administrator, authorized to receive help, and have gotten good service in the past: Adobe was first contacted about this in November. The above incident is from December 12. Account rep responded with one email on Dec.18, asking for clarification, which I immediately gave. Nothing since then.I'm very frustrated that I cannot find phone numbers to speak with someone about this and my emails are going unanswered. This is negatively impacting our business.

Within Sitecatalyst, I am trying to get an idea of a user's path view with different entry pages that are the start of a conversion funnel. I've used the Next Page Flow and the Path Finder Report. However, both are limited on the branches and navigated pages on discovering this insight.The hurdle I am facing is that there is little to no data showing a user's site navigation within the Full Path report. For instance,  the full path report of one of my entry pages shows a total of 5 visits over a four week span and when I generate a Next Page Flow Report on the same entry page and date range, Site Catalyst reports 34,217 path views. I know both these metrics are different from one another, but I don't imagine 5 visits covering a total of 34,217 views.Has any one come across this issue before? Could this be a backend issue with my tracking or is it that I am placing too many filters within the Full Path report? (The filter I am only placing is the selected entry page with paths that cove

Hello there and thanks in advance...I have a site, mysite.com, where users go to log in to their account.  That login/authentication page is hosted on https://login.myothersite.com.  After the user logs in they return to mysite.com.Both sites are using the same report suite and SiteCatalyst 3rd-party cookie domain (d2.sc.omtrdc.net) however mysite.com is using s_code H.26 with:s.trackExternalLinks=true;s.linkInternalFilters="javascript:,mysite,mysite.com,mysite.custhelp.com";AND login.myothersite.com is using H.24.4 with:s.trackExternalLinks = false;s.linkInternalFilters="javascript:,login.myothersite.com,mysite.com/register,mysite.net/register";Here are my questions:1.  In order for this cross-site login funnel to work I have to change:mysite.com's s_code file's s.linkInternalFilters to include login.myothersite.commyothersite.com's s_code file's s.trackExternalLinks = true; and remove the /register from the mysite.com and mysite.net entries in s.linkInternalFilter

Just wondering if the s_account and trackingServer values are listed in the SC control panel anywhere, I believe older previous versions if you went to code manager and downloaded the code it would be included but now it is just generic? I guess the general response would be just to copy it from elsewhere but regardless is there somewhere to get it from the control panel?

Hello, I am having issues downloading a full report within omniture.  For example I have Time Parting as the main report and it is broken down by Purchase Id's.  When I go to download the report it just displays the first page.  Usually there is an option to extend the rows of the report to fit everything but even that isn't coming up.  Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

whenWhat happens to server call when no time stamp is in the call? I'm creating a static pixel to temporarily track a page until we get our implementation on it. I'm just using a basic img tag with the standard info I want to pass. My concern is I do not want to obviously pass the same time stamp in every time so I thought I should remove it from the query string. The question is, if a server call goes out without a time stamp name/value pair in it, what happens on Adobe's collection servers? Does Adobe give it a time stamp?

I'm new to Ad Hoc/Discover but somewhat familiar with Site Catalyst. The new UI and the terminology confuses me. (For example, what's the difference between segment, dimension, container and report?)Is there an online reference, like a glossary or basic how-to-navigate this tool? Hi，     In Admin console,we can set the expiration of eVars.  I have set a eVar expires after puchase, i want to know if no purchase occurs during the visit， whether the eVar will expire or not。   In help document, I see “all Finding Methods expire when the visit ends”.
