I have a campaign value that comes over as a URL query parameter that looks like this:  cid={channel}-{program}-{region}-{activity}.  I have rules set up in the Classification Rule Builder to parse out the values for Channel, Program, Region, and Activity.  And I have a finite list of values for channel, program, and region.  This list of values isn't being used as strictly as I'd like it to be, so I was wondering if there is any way to overwrite the values that are not in my list with "Other".  For eVars and Props I think processing rules would work, but it looks like I don't have visibility into the different component of my campaign value in processing rules.  Are there other ways to do this?Thanks,Kerri

Purpose of reporting: To see the success rate of password resets for users who have a compromised accounts.propX captures the error message: in this case “Compromised Account”s.pagename: “Id-and-captcha” is the 1st page to initiate a password resets.pagename: “reset successful” is the final page that lets them know they have reset their passwordIf I create a segment as this: Visit Container, s.propX equals Compromised AccountTo get to the report I am trying to run; can I run a pages report and see how many visits within this segment hit the "reset successful" page?considering s.propX - does not persist? is there a fault in the logic? thanks in advanceAsif

Does anyone else use SiteCatalyst and CQ5? If so, how do you implement specific evars/props/events on specific pages or templates or components? Since you don't have access to the source code and are just building pages through the components, how do you add your page-specific tracking? We are in the process of migrating 4 sites onto CQ5. I am not a developer and am caught between being the only person who has the in-depth knowledge of SiteCatalyst from a user standpoint and having developers who only have an in-depth knowledge of CQ. I need to be able to tell them what/how to migrate my tracking.Or is this where Dynamic Tag Manager plays a role? HELP PLEASE!! Thank you!

I am implementing SiteCat on a client's community site (Jive is the platform) and they are interested in assigning a UUID to a customer once they authenticate. However, the client also wants to classify what type of customer or employee the user is. There is no action the user would take on the site to denote that, so I was proposing creating a UUID that can be parsed out and uploaded into SiteCat.For example - UUID CA1234 would denote C is for customer, A is for type A and 1234 recognizes that unique user. Given that the UUIDs need to be uploaded into SiteCat and then will be assigned based on the authentication, I wanted to see if processing rules can parse out the UUID so I can set a eVar to denote customer vs employee and then also for the customer type - given it is not data collected server side.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I am having a problem with use of Current Data (ie no latency) in Report Builder which is driving me crazy. Has anybody else had/fixed this problem?If I create a basic 'Pages' report, say the top 10 pageNames for today, with a hourly granularity and a metric of Page Views, when the report pulls the data down there is a latency in the data (ie the same delay as in SiteCatalyst when you don’t select Current Data in the report. If I select Manage and look at the data block details its says "Current Data Yes". I have also checked and I am in the Current Data user group. So it should work.The strange thing is if I create a data block for a Traffic Variable with metric of Instances or Page views there is no latancy the report shows current data as expected. I would expect the Pages report and the Traffic Variable to work the same but they don’t.I have a few times managed to create a Pages report that does show Current Data, but most the time it doesn’t I can find any difference in the two

I'd like to know how success events are attributed when visitors come through various channels.For example, a visitor comes to the site via paid search, where the destination URL is www.domain.com?cid=paidsearchA, and doesn't make a purchase. Then a day later comes to the site via display ad, where the destination URL is www.domain.com?cid=displayB, and makes a purchase.Under a Tracking Code (s.campaign) report, how is the order attributed? Is there a report that can be run to tell me how much network storage my site on average requires in a month on a cloud server? For example, if a contract from a provider tells me that my Network I/O is limited to total combined input and output traffic, to and from the given cloud region, of 300 GB/month. Any overage will be billed at rate. How could I determine if that's enough?

HiI've got a site with some modal pop up windows that display after a user clicks a button.  I'd like to track a page-view for this when the page displays.  The page is a sign-up form for registering with the site as well as a follow-up email verification page.  Any help is appreciated here.

Hi Everyone, I am trying to create a  request using report builder by using following steps- 1. I have created a global segment based on site section value.2. In request, I have selected correct report suite and my new segment created in step 1, Now i am using page filter  and specifying pagename using range on the xls sheet. 3. I have selected pageview and visit metrics to display the value. I am not able to see the data in my cell after completing the steps.I tried to check spelling of pagename, data in sitecatalyst of that page(i can see the data), date range but it is strange that report builder is not pulling data for that specific page. The most surprising thing is, i am able to get value for few pages using the same global segment. Is there any thought on this concern?please  help on this ??

Site catalyst is tracking windows server 2008 R2 as Windows 7. is this can be resolved  by any setting in our implementation side ?

Hello,I am trying to add a rule under a rule set in the classification rule builder.When I hit add rule, I am trying to create this:Contains : 1:5 : Slide Number : 1The problem is it won't let me set the classification, i get the alert image attached.Also, under this rule set, you will see a faint warning triangle, this is by each rule set classification and I see this message at the top "The specified classification does not exist in all selected report suites"I have only one report sutie selected. I don't understand why I am getting this warning, the other rule sets I can create rules with no problems Thanks,John

Hi there As i use the output of one report as filter options for the next report, i am looking for a possibility to fix the order the data is being pulled (fix the order of the queries). When i refresh the reports one by one (in the order they are intended), the reports work. However, when i hit "refresh all", the 2nd Report (that uses input from the first report), don't get the proper results. Your help would be very much appreciated.BestSandro

I was wondering what is the best method to still have the 500ms delay for an s.tl() call when no link object is passed? If I still pass 'this' and it doesn't reference anything, will it still have the 500 ms delay?Just want to know how I still initiate the 500 ms delay when link object is not present? I would like to build a report in SC 15 to show new visits and return visits of pages. In other words, I would like the report to show 2 metrics: new visits and return visits. If % can show up, that will be better. However, when I go to Site Content >Pages, and click "Add Metrics", I could not find new visits or return visits in the "Available metrics" drop down menu. What should I do in order to add return visits and new visits into my report? Thanks a lot! 

Our company has two divisions, each with their own seperate SiteCatalyst accounts.  In one, we have the GeoSegmentation option in the menu (Visitor Profile > GeoSegmentation).  In the other account, the GeoSegmentation option is not there.  And it's not hidden via the menu customization admin area.Does GeoSegmentation available by default, or only in certain licenses?  If it does come standard, how can I add it to the menu?Thanks!

I would like to create a segmentation by country (e.g., visits from UK), but I could not find such an item on country or geo in the drop down menu when defining visit under "Segment Definition Builder". I tried to create a filter "domains ends with .uk/", but it did not give me the correct data.How to create a segmentation to show visits by country in SiteCatalyst 15? Thanks!
