I have a long running script that loops over multiple country pages, their language roots and hundreds of pages below each language root. It runs scheduled overnight, but it can also be run manually during the day for one language root at a time. I would like to transform this into a small script that spawns Jobs for each country, each language and perhaps even each page.  But I am worried I might end up with too many Sling Jobs, making matters worse. Hoe many Sling Jobs is too much? What would be a good approach for this kind of scenario?

The documents state that best practice is to utilize core components as much as possible, which is exactly what I'm trying to do. I'm stuck on a permissions issue.I have a folder for news stories, at /content/news/articles[year]/[month] that I need to be able to programmatically control access to. Each news page has an "author" property on the jcr:content node associated with a user, authors should only be able to edit their own stories.Each page has deny all for a group called "newsauthors" which all such "authors" are members of, but I need to add rights for authors (and a group of approvers). I need to be able to generate the list of permissions and apply them programmatically, in case of an author change (I have a listener that works up until the actual application of the acl).I can't figure out the permissions needed to allow one-off edit access for individual authors, I tried jcr:read. rep:write, but this doesn't do the trick (users can't edit the page or the properties). Hi,I have enabled the Authentication requirement for one of the pages on my project. This property should redirect any unauthenticated user to the log in page url but that's not working. The same is working for other pages within the project, granite:loginPath & rep:CugPolicy property values are the same. The Apache Sling AuthenticationHandler is configured, and confirmed the configuration at https://<serveraddress>:<serverport>/system/console/slingauth . Hi everyone,I'm new to Aem, I'm trying to extend the List component to be able to make it accept external URLs too, since until now I've noticed that it doesn't take external URLs. I thought of extending the List component by inserting a new Text tab where to insert a string to be printed. But I don't understand why it doesn't print the string to me, nor can I add the "add" button to make it add more fields. If you have ideas on how to make them insert external URLs without having to modify they are welcome 

Hi, I want to monitor the digital asset lifecycle of assets stored in the DAM through scheduled review tasks. I'd like to set the review date of an asset as soon as it is uploaded to AEM, and then be notified in the future when it's time to perform the review task. A bonus feature I would like to see is to be able to automatically set review dates based on the asset type (e.g. social media content has a review date set 6 months from the creation date, catalogue has a review date set 1 year from the creation date, etc.) Are there OOTB tools to be able to accomplish this specific use case? Thank you,Morgan

I'm trying to create a report with a filter that shows tasks in projects with a custom field that pulls a group name in a portfolio's custom field. So basically it's [task's project's custom field from portfolio] = $$USER.homeGroupID. At last year's Adobe summit, someone shared how in text mode you can change the value of an expression to something specific so that when you return to standard mode it pulls up the full list of objects and values instead of just the single value field. Can anyone reshare that trick?

Hello,   Ive been working with a client to create a data plan around migrating their current marketing platform to Marketo, including creating a schema for standard fields, custom fields, custom objects, and custom activities. There is now an opportunity to use AJO instead of Marketo and I was wondering if and how the data sets between AJO and Marketo differ. My understanding is AJO uses data sets with data fields organized within them that are able to be toggled on/off during selection. Is there documentation that contains a comprehensive list of the data sets and fields in AJO?   Thanks!

I am trying to set an event on element visibility using custom code. For example when a page load and there is a targeted element and on page load the custom code should set the event. The challenge here is I have event "direct call" for page load and in that page load, I may or may not have that element. But when I have that element I should add the event to the page view.
