Workfront Fusion

How do I get access to fusion for practice. Is there any trainings associated after which I can get a sandbox or something like that ?

This is a new one. I'm working on an automation which determines all common paramterValues between an issue an a document. When it has its list, it plops the list into the output field of a search module and pulls those exact fields.  Everything works...until a parameter has a comma in the name of it.  If I do things the "normal" way and specifically select the name of the field, the system works correctly:However, if I attempt to do this by entering the name of the field, Fusion gets confused. It thinks it's two fields instead of one and then Fusion errors out. I know I have to "escape out" the comma using the text parser to make Fusion realize that it's actually on field instead of two. I'm trying to look at the output bundles but I'm not seeing something which stands out. Any ideas? 

We are migrating to Admin Console early next year. We have accounts in Workfront with admin access level that we use as Fusion connections because we can manage the logins in locally. However, once we transition to Admin Console we will need actual email addresses (external or federated through my company) so that we can leverage them as service accounts in Fusion. I see three options:Create email addresses (e.g., gmail) outside my company's network and add to Admin Console as Adobe IDs and use as connections - this goes against my company's security policyCreate federated email addresses that can log in via SSO and represent a service account (e.g., workfront@[companydomain].comCreate OAuth2 Connections between Fusion and my Workfront instanceDoes anyone have any experience with this, and a recommended approach?

So, I'm playing around using the HTTP module to create webhooks which do things I can't do by using the Watch Events module. I was able to make a filter with an OR statement, which is wonderful. I have a scenario that creates a task from a request (issue) when a custom field is selected. The problem I'm having is how to pass the attached document from the request (issue) to the new task. Does anyone know if this can be done? I'm able to see the document ID in the Watch Record module (first image), but it doesn't appear when mapping the data (second image).     

Hello, I would like to trigger the creation of a single-use approval process upon the submission of an issue. The details of said issue will communicate with a datastore which will help drive who is assigned to a certain step in the approval process. How is this possible in Fusion? Thank you

We have a process that is no longer being used and the department has asked us to take away the access to all of the issues within their project. There are nearly 6000 issues. I tested removing assignments but that doesn't take away their access. I was able to unshare the portfolio and project but users and teams were manually shared on the issues themself. We are trying to handle this with Fusion but are having trouble locating the correct information. Does anyone know how we could accomplish this in Fusion? (Remove all sharing access for all issues within one specific project.)

I'm trying to set up a Watch Event in Fusion to trigger when a task's Planned Hours change. However, the workRequired field (as labeled in the API) doesn't appear in the dropdown list in the Fusion UI.Is there a way to manually specify this field in the filter, or is there a recommended workaround for this in Fusion?

Hi, I am trying to solve a case where I have a multidrop down field for different Assignees (assigned to different Teams). My current issue is, if there is a multiselect it overwrites the Assigned team with the last option in the Router list instead of adding all the assignees when there is multi-select.Example:1. Someone selects Option Easter Egg - Team Green should get assigned to the issue2. If someone selects Option Christmas - Team Red should get assigned to the issue3. But if someone selects Option Easter Egg and Christmas - Team Green and Team Red should get assigned to the issue. Currently only Team Christmas gets assigned if both Options are selected since it overwrites the previous assignment. What can I do to add more assignees instead of replacing them with the latest assignee? Thanks

I am running a scenario that is trying to copy a parent task (and it's children) from a Template to a Project. I do not want to copy over all of the tasks from the Template, only specific parent tasks (+ children) based on info on the custom form.Which module/action is best for this?

Has anyone been able to read cross project predecessor information in Fusion?  We are trying to read the predecessor projected completion date to then reset the planned start date on the second project to have accurate capacity planning.  Project A - Task 3 need to be completed  for Project B Task 1 to start. I'm not seeing where I can pull predecessor from a different project.  Only the predecessor information from that same project.  

Hi All, I trying to workout a fusion scenario that once a user is assigned to an issue, they are immediately assigned to the first stage of the approval process for the issue.  All assistance is greatly appreciated.

I have a scenario where I am automatically approving an issue and updating its status to Approved. After the approval, I attempt to convert the issue into a project using the Misc Action module. While doing this, I select the Preserve Issue option so that the original issue remains and is linked as the resolvable object for the newly created project.However, once the conversion happens, the issue’s status changes to New because the project begins in the Planning status. My intent is to retain the issue’s status as Approved, even though the project itself starts in Planning.Is it possible to maintain the issue’s status as Approved in this scenario?

This is one of my favorite scenarios to date and it is very simple to create yourself. I always hated looking up the system status codes and also love having all my fusion data in one spot. This scenario gets all statuses and puts them into a report that is then added to a dashboard. I have multiple reports that are related to any and all WF IDs including this.Outcome:

I wrote a nifty scenario, sorry I'm fairly new to Fusion and this one I'm very proud of lol, that monitors a OneDrive folder for new files and then imports the issues listed in the CSV file.   The problem is I can't make the issue show the actual requested by as any one but Fusion.  The only field I seem to be able to change is the submitted by.  Even though I update the Entered By date with a column from the CSV displaying who I want to be the requester, it changes it to Fusion every time.  Has anyone found a way around this?  We need the requester to show as the actual person in the overview section.  Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hi All, What are the best practices to store static data(10-15 Custom TaskId's in JSON format ) in Fusion to use it in scenario for filtering purposes in JSONata module ? Changes to JSON data will happen if there is a need to add/delete TaskID when required( again not so frequently). Is it better to store this data in Setvariables or datastore or data structure ? Appreciate for any feedback/recommendations. Thanks.

Hey Fusion Community, I'm helping a customer migrate data (projects and tasks) from their soon-to-be previous project management system to Workfront. We'll be exporting files from their old PM system and I'll need to import them to Workfront, but I need to be sure said files are associated with the correct projects and tasks that are imported as well.Anyone have suggestions on how I might accomplish this in Fusion?  I'm good with importing projects and tasks, it's the part about importing files and associating with the correct projects and tasks. Thanks!Nick

If start date and end date has to be changed in 30projects suggest a fusion scenario to built.

I am attempting to trigger a scenario when a file is uploaded on to certain tasks on a project. I thought using the Template Task ID to narrow down my trigger would help but I don't seem to trigger anything when uploading. I also tried adding the PortfolioID to narrow down my trigger but that also seems to cause the scenario to miss my file uploads.  Any off in my webhook here? The file I am uploading is on the Task level, FYI. 

Hi WF Fusion Community, Does anyone have a recommended approach for the most efficient way to import new tasks that have predecessors? Also, if the external project management systems I'm exporting projects and tasks from doesn't assign a number for task order, does this kind of screw me over for attempting to ensure tasks are in the correct order when imported to Workfront? Thanks!Nick

We've been dealing with a LOT of brain-breaking issues lately. I won't rehearse them all here, but they're all basically caused by the SharePoint integration for Workfront. Just seeing the word "SharePoint" makes me want to curse. Unrelated to SharePoint, an IT engineer friend of mine shared "No as a service," which is hysterically funny to me. I love an API which only exists to provide funny and lame excuses as to why something cannot be done. It's so pointless but in the best way possible. I wanted to figure out a use for this silly thing. I needed a mental break to do something Fusion related which had nothing to do with our SharePoint misery.
