Hey Marketo-team. Is it possible to add some kind of tags to the contacts? My challenge is, that I have to import contacts from a excel spreadsheet. And these contacts have different tags, which have been used for segmentation. And I obviously have to keep being able to segment on these tags. I have made a Test List in Marketo, where I have used the Source field to add the specific tag. But some contacts have multiple tags and I am afraid, that it might end up confusing. Is this the right way to do it, or is there a smarter way to do this? What do you guys suggest? Thanks, Lars.
It would be nice if you could do a search that would query flow steps for occurences of your search term.
We need the ability to build field mapping for leads coming in from external systems.Leads come in from a third-party source. We don't have any influence over what these companies call the fields in their systems. Marketo requires the column headings to exactly match the fields in the Marketo system. Someone on our team must manually process the lead files each week to fix the column headings so Marketo can import the lead data correctly. We have done what we can internally to automate that process as much as possible, but it still takes a person a day per week to process and upload all the files. If we could build field mapping profiles, we could just apply that profile to the file and import.I had this functionality when working with Silverpop in 2008, and I'm really feeling the deficiency here!Susan
I want to add Acquisition Program to the Model Performance Analysis report in particular, but I think it should be available for all reporting.
After a lead fills out a Marketo form, there is only one way they can retrieve their content - by clicking a link on the landing page they are re-directed to. Hubspot and many other platforms offer an option to "EMAIL" the content directly to the lead after hitting submit on the form. Hubspot has a quick, easy, user friendly feature set up that automatically delivers that specific piece of content the person filled out the form to receive. Can Marketo set up this functionality to quickly deliver the content to the leads inbox? This will prevent people from trying to use fake or non-existant email addresses. In order for them to get their content - they have to provide a real, working email to retrieve their download in their inbox.THANKS!!!! I really hope your team can set this up!
Hi, I have a list of email addresses with undefined business zones and undefined countries. I would like to massively change the data value of those fields with the right data. However if I select a list of leads w/ undefined business zones and undefined countries and I then change data value of the country. I can no longer update value of business zone because my list is empty. Indeed the criteria are no longer met (country is no longer undefined). Can we add the option to change various fields at the same time? Cécile @ Talend
You can create templates for Emails and Landing Pages, but why not allow templates for other common Marketo elements including Programs? You can clone a program, but then you have to replace and change references to Landing Pages and Emails.If there was a Program Template, it could or could not include various assets.
I'd love to be able to see a small preview of each email template when I select a template instead of having to click and open a new tab to view the template. Either hover over the preview link or show a small thumbnail in the preview window.
Hi, We have a lot of images and files. Right now I can order by dates and I can search by product lines. However I would like to be able to narrow down my search to a specific type (e;g. pdf or jpg). Thanks Cécile @ Talend
While carrying out A/B testing using random sampling, it would be great if Marketo can automatically send out the most successful email/campaign to the rest of the audience based on the "success" criteria defined in a flow action. Any chance of this happening anytime soon?
Hello:While I understand the thinking behind the autosave feature of Marketo, I am not a fan. I have grown used to hitting the save button and I enjoy hitting the save button because the I know I have saved my work in the way that I wanted to save it. I really wish there was a way to TURN OFF the AUTOSAVE functionality. That way you can experiment with something and close it out if you do not wish to save.The designer on my team has mentioned that there should also be an undo button as well, but I believe the AUTOSAVE functionality would have to be disabled.Thanks!
Tokens are incredibly valuable for personalizing emails, if your data is clean. However, it would be great to have the ability to include an if/then statement like the following email signature example:Thank you,{{lead.Lead Owner First Name: IF lead.Lead Owner First Name Is NOT “Sales”: default=Jessica}} {{lead.Lead Owner Last Name: IF lead.Lead Owner Last Name Is NOT “Queue”: default=Miller}}{{lead.Lead Owner Email Address: IF lead.Lead Owner Email Address Is NOT “sales@marketo.com”: default=jessica@marketo.com}}This would be an amazing feature for any customer who assigns leads to a Sales or Marketing Queue before they are passed to a Sales Rep.

When you go to Marketing Activities and your smart campaign, and then click 'results', you can choose to export the data, however annoyingly Marketo doesn't show the lead's phone number or any similar columns. Is there a way to do this?
Hello:Once you archive a folder it still appears in the tree view. Is there a place that we can put these archived folders so it doesnt make our trees messy with archived items? I almost feel like once a folder is archived it should go into its own area?Any suggestions on how to keep the tree neat and tidy? Can we create a folder called archive and move the actual archived items in there?Thanks!!
I am new to Marketo, but just set up the Salesforce sync which worked great for getting names into Marketo. How do I get it to go the other way? For instance if someone registers through our Marketo form I am not seeing their names in Salesforce. Is there something I must do to enable this?
When you go in to edit HTML in a template and you click validate template, it tells you what lines contain errors, however the HTML is not numbered. For example, it will tell you the error is on line 148, you have to count out 148 lines of code to find the error. Could numbers be added to the lines of HTML for ease of finding errors??
Hello,Utilizing Marketo to send out email blasts to our customers and prospects on a large scale has proved to be extremely benefitical, however, one issue/problem I have with it is phone numbers for list members do not export to excel from the results page, and there does not seem to be a way to add them.Not having phone numbers only creates more work for my team, and I'm sure many other organizations. Our sales team wants to follow up the emails with phone calls based on the opens/clicks. Currently in order to do that, we have to export the results page, export the customer campaign list, then combine them using the V-Look up function in excel. This is time consuming and seems to be avoidable seeing as the phone numbers do exist on another list.Please add phone numbers or at least the ability to customize results page columns with phone numbers and this service will be perfect!Thank you,John
I'm trying to pull data from our Marketo Leads and export that to our Salesforce "Notes & Attachments" field for the contact. Is there a way to do that without overriding any information already in that field?
It would be great if it where possible to edit certain characteristics of a Poll (Available in the Social Component) such as the font-size, image size, dimensions etc.The current layout, while functional, looks out of place with our current templates and branding.
Microsoft is now starting to migrate new machines to the Office 2013 platform. The Sales Insight Plug-In for Outlook is not compatible with Office 2013 (only for 2010 version). This causes an issue for my new hires as they cannot track correspondence.I would hope that this is already on the Roadmap for release, but after submitting a case to Marketo Support was told that I needed to submit Office 2013 Plug In as a 'new idea.'
The Marketo app for outlook has been tracking the activity of the individual sending the emails in addition to the person receiving. Examples of when marketo tracks senders activity and shows the email as being opened: Scrolling through sent emails, simply pressing the down arrow key Adding emails to salesforce through SF's outlook applicationThe marketo app should only track the activity of the individual receiving the email.
We have several Marketo forms on external pages of our corporate website. Occassionally we have spam bot form submissions, but it is rare. We posted a new form last week and it has been fine/spam free, up until yesterday when several spam submissions started coming through and creating new leads - the spam varies from submissions that have lots of repeated words and foreign language symbols, to submissions that are English but clearly spam. In terms of the form fields and Java script, everything is identical to our other published forms that aren receiving spam. Any ideas on why this would happen - and how we can stop it? We have tried taking down the form for several hours and reposting it, but as soon as we reposted it, we started receiving spam again.
Is there currently a way to get an alternative Munchkin key for use as a development instance of Marketo?As part of our build process, we run through numerous staging and development servers. Before the code goes live in production, we would like a way to see the results in Marketo in their own sandbox.From a workflow perspective, the above would work as follows:We would use Munchkin key XXX-XXX-XXX during development and stagingWe would use Munchkin key PPP-PPP-PPP once the code goes liveThe result of this setup would be two pools of users - one for development and one that are the real users.Is there a way to associate another Munchkin key to a current account, or do we need to spin up a whole different account to achieve this goal?Thanks!
It would be beneficial to see a thumbnail preview of the images in the image folders, rather than having to click on each one to view
