Description - After a thorough implementation, we decided to use the Request Queues built directly in the projects. The functionality is great. We have a project template set up with Queue Topics, Groups, Forms etc. The issue is that when creating requests directly in a project there is no Autosave or Drafting functionality that we know of. Our users are becoming increasingly agitated by having complex requests easily deleted at the unfortunate click out of the request window or accidental refresh of the page. Why is this feature SO VERY important to you - Our current solution is to submit requests without auto-routing to a traffic team so the work can be saved. Leading to needing to save as you go, something that is antiquated in this day and age, especially knowing that autosave exists in many other places in Workfront, including the Global Request Queues area. How would you like the feature to work - simply autosave as you go with a Drafts section built into the Reque
Description - A user should be able to set the the default number of hours that a request will take IN ADDITION to the Default Duration that can be set. Currently, if hours are used to describe the Default Duration, the Request will have a start and end date/time based on those hours. However, Requests should be defined by both the Planned Hours set (e.g. 2-3 hours of working time) as well as the total Duration of the Request (e.g. 3 days). If a user chooses 3 days as the Default Duration, the system assumes that the assignee will allocate 24 hours of working time to complete the Request. If a user chooses 2 hours as the Default Duration, the system assumes that the assignee will be done with the Request in 2 hours time. The system should account for both forms of timing. Why is this feature important to you - As Requests are made, the incorrect Planned Hours based on 3 days of duration are assigned to the working team member. These hours, while not accurate, often spike th
We have two dashboards (created by our WF consultant when we implemented WF a few years ago) that are attached to programs. One shows project reports for the program--current projects, projects on hold/in planning, and closed projects. The other dashboard shows task-based reports for the program. We currently have a user receiving the following message when trying to access the project-based dashboard from within programs:He has access to the programs and the projects within them; he also has explicit view access to the dashboard itself and can view it from the Dashboards module (just not within programs). He can view the task-based dashboard from within a program.Any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it?
Hi everyone, When we use path in queries and while indexing why do we need to use included paths and excluded paths already we are filtering the query through path in our query? Thanks in advance.
Hi Community! I have a use-case which I wanted to sparre with some of you about. We are looking into making an integration from an external system to ACC, to allow sending push notifications with dynamic content values such as title, sub title, text, and custom params. Also, the external system should be able to chose a target segment which will point to a pre-defined fitering or similar in ACC. So I am looking at docs to figure out the best approach for this, but it is a bit overwhelming to be honest. I have looked at functions like "CreateFromModel" and "SubmitDelivery" but I simply lack some working examples or similar to solving this challenge. Also I am really interested in simply hearing feedback on the approach and possible suggestions to other ways of solving this use-case. Thanks a bunch!
In January, we have created several collections in Target for our activities. I have checked last update time for those collections, both in the UI and API, and it shows me the same last update in January (the day those got created). One of those collections had no items, when I checked it via UI and API it still showed 0 items, then, when I entered the collection to see the segmentation criteria it got updated, and now, it had all the products it should have had. We are introducing products via the WEB SDK, no feed for now. Therefore, I need those collections to be updated as users navigate the web site. Is there a way to get those collections auto updated?
I am using cq/gui/components/tagspicker in my component dialog and want to display the selected tags in HTL. I have tried directly by using name property but this only displays the first selected tag. How to display all selected tags from component dialog in frontend?
In a custom form, I have a series of checkbox fields with image sizes on and I would like to know if there is a way to calculate the total number of options selected, multiply it by 0.25 (or 15 minutes) and use a calculated field to give me a total value (of time) it is estimated to take to complete. I am looking at ways of how to show the requestor the total amount of time it is likely to take for their request to be completed and then decide whether the qty they are asking has value for their request before it is submitted. This total amount of time can also be used within the task in the project. Does anyone know if this is possible? As currently adding any values to a checkbox field, the value cannot be the same. Thank you
Hi,In the screenshot attached, this is a list of user IDs, there is a metric to count distinct value of userID (Visitor ID unique Count). I do not understand how this metric displays a different number (#2 in the picture) as the volume of one id listed down (#1), there are clearly 5361 rows. So when I prepare an extract using DW to get the volume of distinct user ID, in my extract I request the user id this way I do my own deduplication in another reporting tool, and I end up with the same figure as #1. So in the report in another reporting tool I will display 5361 users while in Adobe I show 5428 users, this is confusing for the end users of the report (and for me).Anyone that could help me to understand the difference and if there is anything I have to fix on my end to display in Adobe. Many thanks
Hi community, we are currently running AEM 6.5.21 on premise and are planning to support Java 17 and upgrade our AEM with 6.5 LTS.I already read, that 6.5 LTS already includes SP 22.But as we were kicking off this topic, we wondered if we need to or can update AEM with the newest service packs in the future, such as the upcoming SP23. Thanks in advance Best RegardsAndy
Description When searching for projects by name, a bunch of criteria comes up. I'd like to also filter that criteria by most recently edited date. I don't believe this is possible today. Why is this feature important to youI have so many projects, this helps to find projects more quickly. How would you like the feature to workOnce there's data in the name field, I could click on the 'last modified' filter at any time. Current Behaviour - Only one filter can happen at a time and they cannot be mixed together.
I've set up a campaign for a local event, including survey questions as per the stakeholder requirements. However, we're facing an issue with the survey questions as these are not mandatory. When users leave these fields blank during registration, the old data is still being displayed in the survey question values. I am currently working on a smart campaign to replace the old values with 'None' when the survey questions are left blank. Could you please suggest a solution to resolve this issue? @sanfordwhiteman @darshil_shah1 @awmindtree
From the dropdown of the query service, I can see maximum is displaying 500 records. From the documentation, it shows that it able to return maximum 50,000 from the UI, how can I make the changes ?
Team I have adobe Workfront database data connected directly to snowflake via direct access share , do we have the same for azure databricks if so how could we connect to workfront database
Hello,Wondering what might cause the 'Save as' option to gray out/not be available within the Catalog Search > Advanced Search window? I've added a number of rules/filters to the data set and I'm returning a few hundred entities, however, when attempting to save the search as a collection or exclusion it's not working. Any known reasons for this? Anything to look at to troubleshoot?
Description -Our team relies on commit dates to plan out and communicate our workload every morning to our lead. This helps us know if we are able to take on more work or if we need to push out work. Having easy access to it is very efficient. The process we had in the updates tab was a simple dropdown 1 step process that was separate from the completion date which made it easy to identify it and update it.
Hello! I'm using a global form for events, and while most fields stay consistent, certain events occasionally require unique fields (e.g. Title, Company Name, Dietary Restrictions). Is there a way to conditionally show or hide specific fields based on a token value? For example, can I hide a field unless a program token like {{my.TokenName}} is present or has a specific value? I'd love to manage field visibility dynamically without having to clone or create separate forms for each event. Thank you!
Hello,Is there a way in which I can automatically update the metadata of my assets with values that don't exist in AEM?For example, I would like to bulk-update assets with tags. Some of the tags exist, but some don't. Is there a way I can make AEM create the tags that don't exist and assign them to my asset? I am using the Assets Metadata Import functionality and noticed that if the tags are not available in AEM, they do not get created. Many thanks,Ana
In an effort to clean up some of what was left from a previous SA, I would like to delete some of what I think are unused templates. I can't seem to get the right reporting to show me which active templates have not been used to create a project in the last year. Michelle Bowden Fiserv ETG
Huge thanks to our customers @ross_barton and Lindsay Love from Ologie for sharing their Workfront story and opening the doors to their Workfront world! As Workfronters, we are always looking for opportunities to see how other customers configure their system and manage their processes, so this was an amazing opportunity. And thank you to everyone who joined us live on this brand-new event! The ideas you all shared were golden! Along with the on-demand recording, we’ve included the tips that were shared in the chat: Slide Deck PDF Webinar recording We’ve summarized a few of the tips from the chat: Use Programs and break the phases & deliverables into separate smaller projects. Use a separate Custom Form “Campaign” field to break the Projects down further, but available for Groupings in Reports. Use Task Descriptions to put more information in the Description, allowing you to cut down on some Tasks. (Make sure your users are using a
Hi,we have a requirement to resize assets, for which we are using an Assets Compute worker with the "JIMP" library. However we are facing an error stating:Asset Compute worker failed to generate rendition for asset '/content/dam/test-custom-asset-renditions/example.jpg', \, Reason: 'GenericError', Message: 'Call to custom worker https://example-development.adobeioruntime.net/api/v1/web/dx-asset-compute-worker-1/worker failed with: 400 Bad Request'.Code:'use strict'; const { worker, SourceCorruptError} = require('@adobe/asset-compute-sdk'); const fs = require('fs').promises; import { Jimp } from 'jimp'; exports.main = worker(async (source, rendition) => { const stats = await fs.stat(source.path); if (stats.size === 0) { throw new SourceCorruptError('source file is empty'); } console.log("Source Path is-->" + source.path); console.log("rendition Path is-->" + rendition.path); // Read/parse and validate parameters const SIZE = parseInt(rendi
Hey Everyone. I need help finding out how to convert the number in "Count" to have a comma. This shows it in the Workflow Task. The formatting is stripped when the parameter is generated during email delivery. This is the current expression. I've used both $long and $float.
Description: Finance Recalculations on a project do not trigger a system update or appear in the Updates tab, Audit Logs, or the Adobe Admin Console Audit Log. Per a recent Workfront Support request, I was informed that this action is considered a background process and is not currently tracked in the standard system or audit logs, and there’s no built-in setting to enable logging. Why is this feature important to you -Tracking of hours and actual cost is integral within Workfront for reporting, and is often a cross-departmental mandatory required reporting functionality, sometimes in terms of governance. It should considered as best practice, when finances are recalculated within a project, that there is a system automated date/timestamp and audit log tracking created for this. How would you like the feature to work -Preferably there would be an automated update of a successful (or unsuccessful) recalculation attempt, which should show which object unique ID the
The Growing Importance of Personalization in Content StrategyIn today’s fast-paced digital landscape, content demand is becoming increasingly critical for organizations as they strive to deliver personalization at scale. The complexity of coordinating diverse roles, such as m
Currently when you unassign a user from a task/issue, it automatically fills in the assignee with that user's job role. My company has never used this feature and it just creates extra work and confusion to either remove that job role or to see it in the assignments. It would be great if this is something we could disable in the setup area.
