I have created a custom AuthenticationInfoPostProcessor service so that I could sent saml_request_path and redirect the authenticated user to the appropriate page. However, after authentication (i.e.after /saml_login request), there are 2 saml_request_path set in the response - one set to the value I'm setting in the custom AuthenticationInfoPostProcessor service and one with a value of null. The saml_request_path with null value redirects to my homepage. How do I set saml_request_path so that the user is redirected to the appropriate page? How do I prevent the second saml_request_path cookie from being added?
Hi Team, Env: AEM as a cloud service1. Have created a system user from crx/explorer and provided the permissions on tools->security->permissions. Have verified the user permissions for the same on useradmin 2. Configured SU on system/console/configMgr. The file was generated under apps/system/config. Copied this file to /apps/../osgiconfig/config.(can see the same on system configmgr).3. After this deleted the existing file.4. Now everything seems good. But while hitting my listener I'm getting the below error.org.apache.sling.api.resource.LoginException: Cannot derive user name for bundle com.test.core [572] and sub service bs-final-testNote: Have done all the above steps to create a package and install it in higher environments.Could someone please help me to resolve it?
Hi there,In our Adobe Assets instance, our Files folder structure is 103 Geographic Area / Locales, then 26 Business Divisions, with 73 different content types underneath them, each of which has a Private or Public folder underneath it. This was the recommended structure from our Adobe consultants. This means we have 390,988 lowest level folders. We want to assign the same Folder Metadata Schema to them all, so that we can set default values. We then will set specific folder default values by folder by editing the folder Properties and putting in the right values, which mostly clone the Folder structure so that the folder structure becomes searchable and usable metadata, rather than just the Folder location. Guidance from our Adobe consultants is that this can only be done via the UI, rather than in bulk on the back end. I've written scripts to automate it via Power Automate Desktop and am running them through but it is, as you would expect, very slow going, as it f
Is There Still a Case for Hosting AEM Yourself? by TAD REEVES Abstract First: A History Less on AEM & What It’s Made Of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is Adobe’s do-everything content management and digital experience platform. If you’re new to the Adobe world, please see this video, specifically about 4 mins in, for an overview of the platform and what it does.) For nearly two decades, the primary way that AEM (and its previous life as “Day Communique” or “CQ” for short) has been deployed has been via individually-licensed, large, cumbersome, difficult-to-scale servers that were set up by eccentric sysadmins like me. AEM has always had an amazing feature set, but when it comes to scalability, resiliency, and ability to make use of the flexible and service-oriented nature of the cloud, it was commonly the major portion of companies’ marketing technology stacks which couldn’t be externalized into a platform-as-a-service / software-as-a-service model. This meant that AEM would com

Significance of having maintenance mode in AEM Replication Agent by Debal Das Abstract Like any other tools or applications we always consider maintenance word with utmost importance for AEM also. We have seen so many great articles on AEM maintenance but here I would like to talk about maintenance mode associated with AEM Replication agent. If we take a look at com.day.cq.replication.Agent , it has one method called: isInMaintenanceMode() and it describes “Checks if the agent is in maintenance mode”. But most of us we don’t talk about the usage of this method. Recently I was part of one technical discussion and got an opportunity explore this method. The ask was: What exactly does the maintenanceMode=true do? Here is significance of having maintenance mode enabled for an agent [explained beautifully by Adobe AEM architect]- “If you have the maintenance mode enabled for an agent, this agent is no longer considered when checking the replication status. That means it still delive

Hello all:We have an Experience Fragment that utilizes custom AEM Components. Some of the elements in one of these Components get an event handler attached to them through a "clientlib" JS script in AEM. When using these Components through AEM, the event handlers are attached consistently and the code works as expected. The issue arises when we export the XF to Target and use it in an Activity. Approximately 90% of the time, the code works fine. The events are attached and client-side behavior is as expected. However, a minority of the time, we noticed that an element was not responding to user interaction as expected. After some troubleshooting, I found that this was because the Event Handlers from the JS script were not being attached even though the JS script was properly loaded in the page. I assume it is a timing issue; e.g. the Component does not exist at the time the JS script attempts to attach the Event Handler. Is there any way to troubleshoot or potentially fix thi
Hello, I am trying to use an asset in the react app located in the ui.frontend of my project and to conduct some test to see if the api would work I called: const myHeaders = new Headers(); myHeaders.append("Authorization", `Basic YWRtaW46YWRtaW4=`); myHeaders.append("Content-Type", "application/json"); fetch( "http://localhost:4502/api/assets/myAssetsFolder.json", { method: "GET", headers: myHeaders, redirect: "follow", } ) .then((response) => console.log(response)) .catch((error) => console.log(error)); and I receive a response {type: 'cors', url: 'http://localhost:4502/api/assets/myAssetsFolder.json', redirected: false, stat
AEM permissioning is used to determine what actions a user or group can perform and who is allowed to view a particular resource in AEM. How to Integrate LDAP with AEM ? by Aemrules Abstract LDAP (the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is used for accessing centralised directory services. You can achieve below vital things with LDAP integration The User accounts can be synchronised between LDAP server and the AEM repository. The AEM uses LDAP authentication to authenticate users, with credentials being passed to the LDAP server for validation. To improve performance, successfully validated credentials can be cached by repository, with an expire timeout. This helps reduce the effort required to manage user accounts as they can be accessed by the multiple applications. When a user/account is removed from LDAP server validation is no longer granted & access to the AEM is denied. The following are the AEM steps for integrating the LDAP and using it as your Single Sign On (SSO) source of truth for authenticating AEM Users. In order to have LDAP working with AEM, you need to create three OSGi configurations: A
AEM Analyser Maven Plugin by Adobe Abstract A Maven plugin used by developers of applications for AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS). The plugin provides an easy way to run the same checks locally as in the Cloud Manager pipeline and ensures that the application works correctly when deployed in the cloud. NOTE: Please make sure to always use the latest version. Refrain from using any version below 1.1.10 Functionality The plugin performs similar tasks as the Cloud Manager pipeline after the application is built and before it is deployed. It inspects the generated content packages and runs a set of checks (analysers) on the contents of the packages. By default it check against the latest available SDK version. Most of the analysers are based on the Apache Sling Feature Model Analyser framework. Installation This is a plugin to Apache Maven. It can be enabled by referencing its coordinates in a pom.xml: com.adobe.aem aemanalyser-maven-plugin ... version ... Example: com.adobe.ae

Printing fallback content when a Lead field is blank is a basic Velocity task. You can do it in a few lines of clunky code... but that's a few lines too many! Seeking a one-liner, you might reach for Velocity's built-in $display.alt. But that won't fill the bill in Marketo-land. You see, $display.alt($field, $fallback) outputs the fallback if the field is null. But null isn't the same as the empty String that Marketo uses for unfilled Lead fields. Therefore, the code Dear ${display.alt($lead.FirstName,"Friend")}, will only ever output Dear Joe, or Dear , It will never fall back to Dear Friend, because Marketo ensures $lead.FirstName is always a String of some kind, never null.[1] So without any other tools at your disposal, you're left with a typically wordy #if block: Dear ## #if( $lead.FirstName.isEmpty() ) Friend,## #else $lead.FirstName,## #end This will work fine, but as your scripts get cluttered with repeats of this same s
Let's Begin: Embedding a PDF Create a Sample Adaptive formDrag a static Text component in the form.Click on the pencil icon to edit the TextYou get a palette with an option called 'Fullscreen' to maximize the editor (as shown below). This maximized editor provides with a number of option to edit and format the text. Select the 'Source edit' option from the ribbon as shown below:Replace the code with an iframe container to include a file, where the source can be a pdf in DAM Assets or even a link. Once done click the same Source Edit option to preview the file. You can do similarly for gif files.Once done, close the editor using the 'Minimize 'option available on the top right side of the screen. Now, Preview the form. The container will require a plugin to render a pdf, like in my case it's Adobe Reader. You may also get the option to download, print and zoom the pdf based on the plugin. Sample Form preview Embedding a VideoAll the steps would remain the same ex

Hi, From a few days now, I am trying to understand how honeypot can be implemented on AEM forms. We have a requirement to implement honeypot feature on AEM forms, but I could not find any documentation around this in the experience league. Given the volume of the sites and forms being one of the widely used component on the sites, we do not want to take the re-captcha route rather have something like honeypot implemented to make user experience better. What is the best way to bring up security/spam prevention checks on AEM forms.
I have updated the service pack and getting the AEM grid issue.AEM gird style is overwriting the actual styling. How can we remove aem-grid-10 class from HTML
Learning: OSGi Bundle States in AEM by Codingwithtea Abstract OSGi is a fundamental element in the technology stack of AEM. It is used to control the composite bundles of AEM and their configuration. OSGi “provides the standardized primitives that allow applications to be constructed from small, reusable and collaborative components. OSGi OSGi is a Java framework for developing and deploying modular software programs and libraries. OSGi has two parts. Bundles or Plug-in Java Virtual Machine (JVM)-level service registry. In this article, we will focus on bundle states only. A Bundle object is the access point to define the lifecycle of an installed bundle. Each bundle installed in the OSGi environment must have an associated Bundle object. A bundle must have a unique identity, a long, chosen by the Framework. This identity must not change during the lifecycle of a bundle, even when the bundle is updated. Uninstalling and then reinstalling the bundle must create a new unique identi
