The search bars in Marketo are very helpful. They would be even more so if there were advanced search options similar to what Google has through out Marketo. Then narrow your results by... Smart List filter text Flow Step text Landing Page Content text Email Subject, Body texts
I'd like to be able to see the percentage of opens and/or click-throughs by day of the week. We have several campaigns that are trigger-based with emails being sent after an activity is performed. Currently I know I can select a specific day, but if we could see overall the rates based on the specific day it was sent, I think it could be helpful. I know that Google Analytics has this feature to some extent, and I could build it out by exporting to Excel, but a straightforward visual representation would be immensely helpful.
Add a same program drop down under 'Clone To:' for local assets when cloning them in a program. It is time consuming to have to find the same program when you clone.
I discovered an issue today pertaining to tag types. The tag value cannot be deleted unless you delete the entire tag type pertaining to the tag values. We have over 10 unused tag values that were created by mistake and in order for me to remove them I need to delete the main tag type. Not only cannot you not delete the tag value but if it's linked to any program you need to go into the program indivudally to update the value to the new one.I propose the ability to update multiple programs at once if there is a change in the tag values. I also think there should be a away to delete the tag values that have no porgrams tied to them. Additonally there needs to be better tag documentation on the community for advanced admins such as myself.
Sales Insight includes functionality to send a Marketo email to multiple records, which is great. However, we would like to limit who has access to this functionality based on role in Salesforce. It does not appear that this is possible (if it is, please let me know how). This is somewhat critical for us. Otherwise, anyone with a Salesforce login can send mass email.
It would be great to have a working marketing calendar view. To see which emails are scheduled for which day with time and the amount of effect members. And even to subscribe people to it. It will also help to avoid several mailings on the same day.You can see scheduled batch campaigns, within a few clicks in the Campaign Inspector. However it does not show the date-time the batch is scheduled for. Also it's difficult to add recurring batches, but you don't want to see regular triggers.
It would be interesting to filter discussions by users' experience and questions regarding Marketo's partners.
I am getting this error, does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
I'd love to see some additional columns in the summary views such as date submitted and date closed - it would help when trying to look through the multitude of cases.Would also like to see category, sub cat and originator (occassionally our team members originate but have us on the CC)
We have a newsletter that goes out to different segments. Can we create a report that shows the links clicked in the newsletter by segments? Also see open rates, soft bounces by segments?
Support just confirmed to me that Marketo does not support conditional tags in templates. You can add them into emails through the designer and they work fine, so it's odd that you can't just have them in the template and not have to copy and paste every time.Given how Outlook renders HTML, conditional tags are very useful to ensure that emails look great across all email clients.
A flow step that sends the next cast of an engagement program for a specific lead. Useful if you're linking programs that have smart lists, so a lead doesn't have to wait until the next cast. I'm trying to expand the Engagement Program functionality of the "lead won't be sent the same email twice," but instead making it "lead won't be suggested a piece of content she/he has already downloaded." Background: We don't want to send a nurture email about a piece of content if the lead has already downloaded that piece. Given resource download is our primary method of lead capture, a lead has already downloaded AT LEAST one piece of content manually from our site. We would also like to have multiple different emails promoting the same piece of content (use case: different chapters of the same big book of B2B marketing). How I was hoping to do this: Smart lists to record the leads who have already downloaded each piece of content. Separate program for each lead n
Before the most recent release, proofs would use the advanced assignments from the default of PHQ. Now it will only use the default under WF, settings, review and approve, and you can only pick one default role for everyone added to a proof. I would like to see these advance assignments be chosen by the user and not one overall default. Our designers have to flip each person from Reviewer/Approver to just Reviewer if that was their previous designation in PHQ. (most of our VIP's are reviewers only so they don't hold up a time line) The VIP's are on the proof so they know what is happening and can add their 2 cents in if they want.-- I hear you saying just make them a report for that, but they are more "see picture, do picture" kind of people.
Is it possible to be given advance warning that the name of a country will be changing in front end reporting? This would help analysts, and data engineers prepare for data coming in under a new country name (which breaks any looks ups).
Migrated from Alpha--UX Flow of this page needs a little tweeking so the user knows where they are at all times and what they’ve completed. Leave rule components where they are when creating conditions (events, actions, etc) so the user knows where they are at all times. Just expand and close the window.
I'd like the ability to use a template to generate projects with dynamic durations based on urgency. The way it would work:Create Project from TemplateSet Complete Date (deadline)Set Start DateTask Durations are proportionately reduced based on the available days between the start and end datesThis would allow us to maintain a single template for all projects of a certain type that we can compress when we have an urgent version of that project.
It would be great if we could make the input field for the Evar/Prop string wider so you could see more characters. This would save time as it would reduce the number of times a user would have to spend moving the cursor further to the right and help make it easier to spot typos that are off screen when a user opens up the Set Variables component of a particular rule.
It seems like when you simply sort a column alphabetically in a report or view, you should see A displayed values before B values, etc. However, I’ve been told many items are actually sorted by the database value not the displayed value. For example, "Job Role" is sorted by the underlying value of "ROLE". Evidently this is consistent with other sorting, such as Status columns (which sort on the value and not the display name). When I sort, I expect the sort to be based on what I’m seeing not what is hidden.
I think it would be very handy to be able to "freeze" the top line in a project similar to how you freeze a row in Excel, so you can always understand to what the data in the column pertains at a glance, without having to scroll up/down to see what that date represents (as an example).
These two core rule types do not function differently. Also, these rules do not work without turning on the regex even when i'm not using any regex to match the url.
Chrome, and other browsers I assume, will populate their history log based on the document title Filling out time sheets becomes much easier when I can identify which projects I was working on throughout the day. I've used to plugin to make this happen locally and it has been very helpful.
Currently, you can build/advance a library from the publishing tab as there is a dropdown menu with three horizontal dots that allows you to do this without opening up that specific library. However, you still need to open the library up in order to remove or add an environment when the library is in the development column. It would be nice if you could remove and add environments from development libraries in a similar way without having to individually open each library to remove or add environments. This change would save me a lot of time as I am have to open multiple libraries to remove and add the dev environment every day.
It would be extremely helpful to view all the Open requests under Requests -> All Requests in 1 page. Currently, users can see only 20 by default under All Requests and they have to scroll to the bottom and click on "20 more" to see additional requests.
It would be great to have a campaign change history and run history tool as Marketo support has as one of their backend tools. We had a campaign member sync issue recently between SFDC and Marketo. Having this tool would've made the troubleshooting of this issue on our end much easier, without having to contact support for assistance.
I've had a lot of problems with dragging and dropping parent tasks to rearrange the order of a project, it seems finicky that it always tries to put the parent inside of another parent task no matter where you put your mouse. Every time I move parents I have to be super careful not to implant the entire parent and all tasks within a nearby parent and I have to drop it so quickly it's inaccurate and leads to frequent errors. It would be nice to be able to turn off the feature that allows you to implant parents into another parent.
