Traditionally, we set up a trigger-based smart campaign to change program statuses when someone converts for one of our campaigns. I just ran my first email program campaign, and was frustrated that this is no longer an option -- everything has to be filter-based. From what I can tell, this isn't something that is available in the new release -- but hopefully I'm wrong :)It's great for our reps to have a heads up as people are converting, rather than a day later, to ensure appropriate follow-up timing.
A/B testing winner based on % not raw numbers. Using the current method with raw numbers can lead to a false positive. For example,We ran an A/B test with three different subject lines. We use the open rate to declare a winner. Unfortunately the 'winner' was not the true winner. Due to bounces the deliverability is not equal between all variations. Our test group was 10684. 8504 were delivered within our time frame.A. 3232 were delivered, 798 were opened.B. 2806 were delivered, 674 were opened.C. 2466 were delivered, 644 were opened.Looking at the raw opens the winner was A. However, based on open rates, C was the true winner followed by A.Open RateA. 24.69%B. 24.02%C. 25.70%
My company is hosting a webinar in 12 days. I would like to have the option to tweet a 'canned' tweet on the Thank You follow up Landing page once they confirm. Ideally, I would like to have an image (possiubly the twitter logo) that they can press and it automatically tweets the pre-establied tweet. Does anyoe have any experince with this or know how to do this?
It would be great if there was a series of resources that we could use to sell Marketo internally. We are going through the process of implementing Marketo and need to generate some resources that we can present to the sales team, customer support and executive. Each group needs to understand different elements of the platform. It would be invaluable to have a set of resources avaialble to help these groups understand what their world will look like once Marketo has launched.
Need a "Results" tab for Email Programs to quickly troubleshoot and explore the email activities, just as can be done when sending an email via a smart campaign.
I have noticed that a SEND ALERT flow step will not process when the field email suspended = TRUE on a lead record (details on field below). Why is this a problem?: If anyone has an automated campaign that sends alerts to your sales team, you might be affected. There might be some leads where the alerts are not sent. In my case, a lead filled out a form, submitted a phone number, and because our thank you letter was rejected by the lead's email server as SPAM, an alert was NOT sent internally to Sales. Luckily I manually caught this, but I do not understand why the alert flow step would be blocked by this field and think it should be changed. It could be costing you. Email Suspended: true Email Suspended Cause: 550 The content of this message looked like spam. Email Suspended At: Jan 23, 2014 4:17 PM
It would be great if we could track YouTube links for videos that we embed on our sites.
Hi Everyone, I just ran into this problem yesterday with creating new engagment programs. My version of Marketo only allows 4 engagement programs total, so, in order to create a new program, I was forced to delete the archived engagement programs. Luckily these were only learning programs so the data doesnt matter, however it doesnt seem intuitive that we should have to delete all of our past data in order to run new programs. Maybe the rule should be that you can only have 4 active programs but as many archived programs as wanted...otherwise at some point we just lose all of our program data in order to run new programs.
The new forms have a drop-down selector for follow-up landing pages that lists follow-up landing pages out of alphabetical order (Form Settings > Settings > Thank You Page). It also does not provide autosuggest. Wouldn't these be great features for that selector?
I'm using comments to target Outlook in my HTML emails, for example: <!--[if mso]>Marketo strips all comments from the HTML in email templates. I don't understand why, when comments are so integral to good responsive design in Outlook. Maybe this is a feature they could work out in the future? An example of the usefulness of mso targeting: emailbtn.net/
We want to use Video in Email. To do this you need to use HTML 5 and tag <video>. Unfortunately, Marketo editor change <! Doctype html> to <! DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "- / / W3C / / DTD HTML 4.01 ...> and because of that <video> tag does not work. It would be great if DOCTYPE was not changed. In this case we could use video playback in the ecards (in e-mail clients that support this functionality).
Hi ~I would like to suggest , there should be one default folder created by Marketo for any one who purchase new instance, with "Dummy Programs and Campaigns" to make them understand easily.Specially, Engagement Program , like we do have reports in Analytics.Let me know your views.Thank youRegardsSonia
In Form 1.0, you were able to view hidden field values in the general section of the form editor. It looks like with Form 2.0, we lost that ability, and now you have to click into each individual field in order to see its set value. It would be great it you could bring that functionality back so reviewing forms can be easier.
The charts and dashboards of the new email program look really nice, but it would be really useful to be able to export the results from A/B tests to a spreadsheet. That way data from many campaigns can be brought together and analyzed together to find trends. Currently each campaign must be looked at individually and I'm unable to see a global perspective of all A/B tests conducted. Also, I would like the option to be able to export not only the A/B campaign data, but data from the Winning final send campaign as well. Currently I can only look at the final send data in the dashboard charts. The data isn't available in the Email Performance Analytics tab. This is particularly important for my business as we don't have a CRM so email analytics takes a more important role in reporting metrics, and I'm sure other companies using Marketo without a CRM might be in a similar position.
I would like to be able to preview forms without having to first choose to edit them.
In the new Forms 2.0, by default all hidden fields will submit their default values, even if they are in fieldsets with visibility rules and those fieldsets aren't visibile when the user submits the form.Wouldn't it be cooler if those values only submitted if those fieldsets were visible at the time of submission? That way if you want it to submit conditionally, put it in that fieldset. And if you want it to submit by default no matter what, put it at the root level (outside of any fieldset).
I found out this morning that the "show link stats" functionality on email previews is being removed from Marketo - starting with emails sent from email programs. I'm really bummed about this - I used it often as a quick way to see which links performed the best in my newsletters. Do you use this functionality? Is there any other way to quickly see this info other than creating a bunch of smart lists?
The embed form function is great and something we've wanted for a while, but the fact that you can't display a success or confirmation message after they submit the form kind of defeats the purpose. If you have to send visitors to another URL or landing page you might as well use the iframe method and keep them on the same parent page the entire time. The way it is now, the page refreshes and there's no indication to the user that they've submitted their information successfully.
Hello, We are currently working on a SFDC project in which one functionality is to link Marketo with SFDC. But there is something we would like to find out about customising marketo and if it is possible, before we link our marketo sandox with our salesforce sandbox. We would like to have a check box field in marketo for leads/contacts that helps in synching into them SFDC. So, for example if the check box is checked, the record is synced else its not.Future developments: Once this is done, in the later stages we would implement the same kind of functionality when SFDC contacts are synced with Marketo but with some criteria (might not be a check box).It would be really appreciated if you could help us in this customisation. Thanks in advance.
Can we get this feature added?Idea based on this thread: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000Pm2LAASBeen trying to get a Marketo follow up page (or a Non-Marketo page) to populate the URL with lead details using the new Forms 2.0 after a form submitted. In the settings section we can point to a follow up page by URL, Was trying to add {{lead.First Name}} token at the end.
Sometimes I need to send out more important emails that rule over nurture emails, and I don't want them sent at the same time, or add them to a nurture stream. It'd be very helpful to pause the entire nurture program with a simple click of a button, instead of either 1.) pausing all leads or 2.) setting the stream cadence to "None". Then when we're ready to have leads receive nurture emails again, just click "unpause nurture program."Something like that.
As there are more and more french instance, it will be quite great to also have help articles translated in french too.for exemple for leads life cycle, statut, reporting - "Revenue cycle explorer and model", it's will be quite useful to show the life cycle model keywords in English and in French. so that for those who has only french instance can also understand the english discussion or training about life cycle in the right way.
When using the "custom CSS" option in the Forms 2.0 builder, none of the custom CSS overides the CSS from the template, unless you mark it as important (using the !important; suffix at the end of all your CSS strings).Per coding best pracitces, if you're putting up custom CSS on the form level, it should always overide the base CSS of the template. Also, per coding best practices, you should try and avoid using !important; as much as feasibly possible:http://james.padolsey.com/usability/dont-use-important/
Would like to suggest an enhancement to the Marketo-ON24 integration. We'd like to stream-line the user experience from Marketo registration form and thank you page to ON24 lobby event page. We shouldnt have to ask the registrant in ON24 who they are. The sync should pass that data over in the integration from Marketo to ON24, thus ON24 should know the registrant and simply have the "launch presentation" button.
Sorry if this is a duplicate idea... We often need to look at a lead's activity history when working with tasks relating to the person. It would be great to be able to link directly to the Marketo record directly from within SFDC.
