We’d like the A/B Subject line test to deploy to the winner in Event and Default program types like it does with Email program types. A use case is that I have an upcoming webinar so I create an Event Program Type. I have a campaign sending an email invitation to this webinar that I’d like to run the subject line test on in one step.
The HTML generated by the form builder is invalid and therefore the labels for checkboxes aren't clickable by the user. This is also bad for accessibility. The mistake is that the for attribute of the label references the name of the target input instead of its id. It appears that the label for input[type=text] on the page is correct so it's possible this is only an issue with checkbox labels. Here's an example of a label that was generated: <label for="unsubscribeArticles" class="mktoLabel mktoHasWidth" style="width: 440px;"> <div class="mktoAsterix">*</div> Unsubscribe from Articles:</label> It's supposed to point to the following input, therefore the for attribute should be mktoCheckbox_95_0 instead of unsubscribedArticles. <input name="unsubscribedArticles" id="mktoCheckbox_95_0" type="checkbox" value="yes" class="mktoField"> As a workaround, here's some jQuery
Periodically, we need to see what smart lists filter in members of another smart list. For example, let's say we have a smart list called Child Smart List. Another smart list called Parent Smart List contains a Member of Smart List filter that is set to Child Smart List. We need to know what other smart lists contain this filter. It seems like it would be possible to write a query that starts with Child Smart List and works backwards to find Parent Smart List and any other smart lists that use that filter.
Please revise the editor so that it does not strip comments from HTML. This "feature" makes some responsive layouts more difficult and others impossible to achieve.
This is probably a minor bug regarding the bouncing Marketo logo which appears on the first load of the new UI. This is fine as a one-off tutorial element, but when clicking through to a lead record via an alert email (the {{SP_Send_Alert_Info}} token), this logo is constantly bouncing due to it having the "mkt-app-logo-attention" class. If possible, this should be removed when viewing a lead record, as it's quite distracting when trying to scrutinise activity log data! :)
I would love to be able to use the new calendar as our calendar for the whole marketing department, not just for Marketo! - I would also like to do this without having to create programs - I want to be able to say "add event" or "add task" directly to the calendar.
Given San Mateo is three hours behind Eastern time, it would be great if you could either 1) Significantly improve your European support team 2) Expand US support hours so we can get quality support in the morning in CST and EST
It would be very useful for customers if one could set a form's target attribute (where the followup page opens) from the form editor. For example, we could let people choose between opening it in a new window or tab, in the same frame, or in the full window / parent page. Many customers rely on using a Forms 2.0 form on a Marketo page inside an iframe so they can take advantage of prefill and progressive profiling (doesn't work if you embed the form code). The problem is that with Forms 2.0, there's no way to do this without the followup page opening inside the iframe. If they could choose the target from the form editor, that would resolve this and make Forms 2.0 even better. Imagine this:
It would be useful to have a keyboard shortcut to return to My Marketo. I'm not seeing one currently in the shortcuts glossary (not sure if it's not in the documentation or if it doesn't exists), but it would be great to have a quick way to return to the main screen and the tiles.
Why does Marketo not create a short QA guide or cheat sheet for users to follow before launching a campaign? A list with checkboxs as a PDF is what I envison. Provides a good experience for users and creates happy customers.
I'm sure all the Marketo Admins out there would love one, especially if it opens up the admin section in a new tab or window. :)
New redesign looks beautiful. Great Work! One little thing the bouncing logo in the top left is very distracting. Is it possible to turn off the bouncing logo?
It would be great if when sorting keywords by monthly page views if keywords with no monthly searches "-" would show up below 0 not above keywords with the largest numbers. Also, possibly add an SEO category for the Community Ideas?
I would like to build a smart list that identifies all contacts who are a member of a program whose program status has changed within a certain timeframe. For example, the program status for a webinar may be: 1 Invited, 2 Registered,3 No Show, 4 Attended, 5 Attended On-Demand Recording. How would I create a smart list that contains the contacts who have changed from "No Show" or "Attended" to "Attended On-Demand" within a specified timeframe. Thanks!
My company just recently sent out a series of emails to a list of leads. Unsurprisingly some of our emails were bounced. When I went into the results to see who was bounced I was able to see that some of the bounces were bounced due to a spam blocker. It would be helpful if you could have a report created that gives information on specific reasons for bounces (i.e. invalid email, marked as spam by lead, blocked as spam by lead's content filter, etc...).
At the moment, I am spending a lot of time editing emails because I'm having to change the HTML code just to try and position an image or bit of text to where I want it. For someone who only has basic knowledge of html, I'm finding creating the emails takes a lot longer, whereas for landing pages, I am able to drag and drop things where I want them. It would be great to see emails having some of the same functions as the landing pages, which would save a lot of time!
It would be nice to be able to delete channels that are not in use. Currently you can only hide them, and when you use Member of Program in a Smart list, and add in the choice of "Program Status Is", the hidden channels populate.
I'd love to have a trigger available for campaigns based on when an Account Owner changes in SFDC. Our Account Owner data is much more reliable than our Contact Owner data. While we can certainly run campaigns to keep Contact Owner data more up to date so it matches Account Owner data, it would be easier to maintain if we could keep better track of when an Account Owner gets updated.Edit: June 2016 - just to clarify, this idea is marked as "Already Have It," but it is not in fact part of the platform.
Even though the shortest cadence for an engagement is daily, it'd be great to be able to test out the engagement program within a shorter wait time such as hours or minutes. That way, we can test out all our content and transitions in a matter of hours with one automated test run!
We have hundreds of closed support tickets. Often times we have need to refer to a closed ticket. It's near impossible to find a specific support ticket since they are not date-stamped within the list and there's no way to search for a specific case. Please add the ability to search and include the date within the listing.
Would be nice to remove the Case Survey button on each support case once the survey is filled out.
Hi, It would be wonderful if Marketo had automated rules set up to identify and label email addresses as invalid when they don't meet certain criteria (ie - there's no @ included in the data that's in the cell). Right now, you can create your own smart list to look for common errors in emails (ie - no @ symbol; ".cm" rather than ".com", etc) but I see no reason why this can't/shouldn't be an automated process that Marketo takes care of.Thanks!
It would be great to be able to select a lot of keywords or pages at once to add them to a list or delete them if they're no longer useful.
Most other email programs I have used include a spam checking tool (which scans email content before sending and assigns a deliverability score based on known spam filters). Is this something Marketo has on the horizon? As it stands now, I'm having to go to a third party for this service.
Right now the Wait Step only allows for increments of an hour. What if I want the wait to end at 430? Having half-hour incremements would be great. Or even being allowed to enter our own time instead of having to choose from the drop-down.
