I am new to Marketo, and amazed at its abilities, but there is one reporting feature I think is missing. I'm a previous Bronto user, and one of the most useful reports was Highest Click/Open based on day of the week.
Our sales people love Marketo Sales Insight and want to access the great data from the Salesforce1 mobile app. Salesforce is designing for mobile first, browser second, so let's join them in designing apps for sales people that they can use in the field.
With Marketo's new mobile landing page capability, we are finally able to make our landing pages work better for mobile devices. However, our forms still do not look great on mobile devices. Does anyone know of a form CSS template I could use to ensure our forms render properly on mobile? After all, conversion is the whole point of a landing page, and the forms must be optimized for mobile conversion!
Is there a way have a quick view of image thumbnails in the design studio instead of just file name?
I've been banging my head for the past several hours and finally broke down and called Marketo support. We need to track click activity on a Marketo landing page. The use case is an RSVP page with an "Accept" button and a "Decline" button. Based on what link the user clicks, they will either receive a confirmation email or be sent to a "sorry you can't attend" landing page. Apparently this is not possible. At this time, there is no way to use the trigger "Clicks link on web page" when Marketo landing pages are being used.
It would be nice if we had the option to say that an email shouldn't count toward communication limits. It's useful to be able to say that we should ignore communication limits, but if we ignore communication limits then we're still adding to the weekly tally of the number of emails a person has received in a week. As of now, our only option is to up our communication limits, or rearrange the order in which we do our weekly sends to prevent this issue.
Currently, Marketo strips out any HTML5 attributes/elements that are placed in a rich text editor, be it on a landing page or in a token. While I realize that using HTML5 can be problematic in a few instances (especially when there's a lack of a Modernizr.js or equivalent fallback), it would be nice to have the following available:HTML5 form attributesDownload attributeDetails and summary elements
it would be good to see where we are at when trying to get new badges. So far we can see the target (submit 25 questions, receive 5th liked comment etc.) but I do not know how far from the target I am at...Very basic idea, not important but would be better.
At landing page editor, we can change BODY tag parameters. But background-image is not supported.Template editor is same also.See related issue.https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000Q1QrAAK
There should be a way to select mutiple assets and unapprove and delete at one time. Right now you have to go in one by one, un-approve and then delete. There are many steps in this process that are unnecessary and add on a lot of time.
It would ge great if there was a way we could personalise 'Dear' in our emails based on the gender of the lead.In many countries the way you greet someone depends on their gender/age.We would love if Marketo had a way to help facilitate this.
It would make creating email content a lot slicker if you could access the design studio from the email editor rather than having separate tabs and copying the image url.
It would be great to be able to reorganize the columns and/or the fields when/after creating a new view.I know you can do this after exporting to Excel but it is honestly not a very comfortable solution. It would be great to rearrange columns as we like direclty in Marketo.
Looking to utilize the "Click Link in Email" option within a flow to send specific emails to individuals based off specific email link clicks from a previous email. This option currently allows the email to be selected but not the link within the email.
I'd like to be able to lock the reports that I've created. Often times others who have access to the instance go in and edit the reports and even if it's just variables like time frame and no big filter edits... it throws everything off, messes up the report, and if it's a subscription report you get sent incorrect numbers. I'd like the ability to lock the reports that I create.
I recently found this post, and the awesome tool on it, which helps you find a landing page in Marketo straight from the live page - https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000PbYTAA0The only thing keeping it from being a perfect solution is that this script only works on landing pages that also contain a form. While this does cover the vast majority of our landing pages, I think it would be great if the functionality here could be expanded to pages w/out forms, although I don't know the technical limitations as I don't know the javascript required to do this. I'm sure there are other similar posts about this out there, so feel free to merge this idea. At the very least I figured I'd be re-sharing the above tool so others could stumble across something cool like I did today =)
When importing lists, if an email address contains spaces after the address, it will be included in the import, causing the email to be invalid. Would like to see Marketo automatically remove these spaces during the list import. I realize there are ways to manually do this but this would just make it so much easier and lessen the risk for invalid email addresses. When I used to develop web applications in my prior career, there was a very useful function that we used when importing contact information (including form submits) into SQL Server. We simply applied a TRIM function to the email address that striped out any spaces before or after the address. For example "TRIM(email address)". I'm sure every application platform has this feature (ASP, PHP, etc.).
The organization report in Insigherta should have a "leads" column added to it. Right now you can click on the individual organization and see how many leads there are within the organization but you cannot look at it in the wholeistic view. Since the data is there, it would be great to see this at the report level.
I like that smart lists are volitle and always changing with the database; however there are also times where I need to freeze the data to know what it was at that point in time. For instance, I'm queing an email and I ran a smart list to ensure that none of them were getting my nurture campaign. I'd like to freeze the data now to reassure myself, or other colleagues that it was right at the time. Now, the ability to un-freeze it and have it re-calculate again is also beneficial. Another option would be to include a history of freeze points to create a library of sorts to know 'when frozen on XX date, it was XYZ' or 'when forozen on XX date it was ABC'
Minor inconvenience but an inconvenience nonetheless. Marketo used to auto-fill the "Title" field when editing a link in an email or a landing page, based on previous entries in that field.
Right now, when you want to create a local asset inside of a folder in a program, Marketo does not put that local asset in the folder you selected... It puts the newly created asset at the bottom of your folders and then you have to drag it back to the folder you wanted to have it created in, to begin with.It would be nice if Marketo just put the asset in the folder you selected to begin with. Thanks!
I think many of us get false hope when we see a "we like it" status for Ideas in the community. Especially when some of the most voted on ideas - like subscribing to smart lists - have a "we like it" status, yet are several years old. I think it would set better expectations if a "we're working on it" was added to the list of statuses.
HiIt will be easier for me if the timing on RTP segments will be by seconds/minuets in addition to timing by clicks. If you can do it it will be very helpful, because I want to timing the pop-up\widgets according to the average time on each page in our website. Thanks and have a good dayMaor
Hi,We have a requirement where we want to exclude certain organizations AND (display campaign on certain pages OR display campaign to users who came from certain queries)Right now we can either use overall AND ; Overall OR.Thanks,Gunjan
I have two ideas to improve reporting for emails: 1. I would like the ability to get full email performance reports for both segments of an A/B email test instead of the roll-up results of the mailing that you get now. Currently, the only way you can see any detail on the performance of the two segments is through the dashboard, which is not a complete report. This is annoying and makes it harder to get a full read on the performance of the overall send. 2. It would be nice to have a 'heat map' of clicks on an email like many other email service providers have. This would make it easier to visualize where people are clicking on a creative.
