I have several community user profiles because I have several Marketo logins. Ideally I would like to be able to merge these all into 1 community user so that all Marketo instances would go to the same community user profile. Right now I try to make sure I use 1 particular Marketo login in the community so that everything I do is in one place. Sometimes that can be a pain when I am working in one Marketo instance, but my community user is in another Marketo instance.I could settle with the ability to hide/archive the profiles I don't use from the community interface, though. I could still use them, but they wouldn't show in search results. This way people don't follow or interact with the profiles that I am not using. So if I typed in Jenny Robertson, only the one I've designated as active would show up. I've also noticed that when I want to send something to another member, I don't always know which community user is the right one to send it to. For example, I've seen people l
We have a 1/day and 3/week Email Communications limit. However, I've noticed that many of the users that reach the 3/week limit have reached that limit due to operational emails. For example, they are new to our system, and they register for an email. They opt in for 3 of our newsletters, and get 3 confirmation emails (+3), plus the automatic confirmation email for the webinar (+4). Now they're suspended from any emails for the next 7 days.Especially as a new lead, if we're sending out a product announcement, or something else, just because they're a new lead and received 3+ operational 'confirmation' emails shouldn't prevent them from receiving their first Marketing Communications. There should be an option to allow Operational Emails to not count toward Email Communication limits.
Often the punctuation used with a lead's name is different than when using you or you can (i.e. Jeff, get an amazing deal on this product now! vs You can get an amazing deal on this product now.) It would be great to be able to create sentence variations using tokens and alternatives.
Hi Team,I have suggestion that if is there any way to remove all the Number of views on a landing page that me or my team have while creating or updating that page.If not; then their should be a way to exclude all the impressions form particular IP, as we can do it in GA.Help me with it.
It would be awesome to have a share through the different social media channels through emails! I've seen other email services do it, but Marketo doesn't offer this yet
I manage a lot of folders and subfolders inside Marketing Activities. They are organized based on geography. Often times it becomes difficult to find a general Landing Page (not specific to a particular location). All i have is the approved URL. I'm sure adding this feature will benefit a lot of marketers out there.
At the moment, a PDF is considered a link when used in the 'clicks link in an email' trigger, however it comes up with an error when trying to use the 'clicks link on a webpage' trigger. This seems a little silly to me and definitely something Marketo should look into.
We've come across a few hurdles lately where we have been trying to dynamically assign a signature to any Lead or Contact inside of Sales Insight based on the individual sending the message. If we had one to one coverage this wouldn't be an issue but in our industry we have multiple channels reaching out to the same Leads which puts us in our current predicament. We are still trying to come up with workarounds to handle our issue but if this functionality were added it would be very helpful.Thank you
We have recently had some issues with our munchkin ending up on pages that do not belong to nor are related to our business as well as have removed our munchkin from old pages after a rebranding. It would be great to be able to1. Get a report of all pages where our Marketo munchkin appears so we can track any unauthorized/accidental use.2. Be able to clean up or remove old or unrelated web pages from our picklist options so our drop downs aren't cluttered or reporting on pages that are not actually a part of our business or not being used anymore.
We have the need for multiple sub-domains, however, only one sub-domain can be a default at any one time. It would be great if when creating a landing page the user could select the desired sub-domain from a drop-down of eligible domains.
With Marketo you're only allowed to social share on webpages, it would be nice to be able to 1. share email content through different social media channels, 2. be able to designate/customize what social media URL, 3. customize the content that gets shared and 4. ability to customize those icons easily or upload your own icons based on your company's brand standards.Mailchimp has an exampleUse Social Follow Content Blocks | MailChimp.com: KB Article
It would be great if we could clone parts of segments. For example, we determine cities using a number of different fields/complex logic and its a pain to put together the filters for every new city. It would be great if we could clone them like a smart list.
Can we find a way / function to insert new leads only when importing a list? (i.e. skip existing ones). For example, client has a CRM not synched to Marketo and they manually migrate data from CRM to Marketo once a month - they want only the new leads to come across, because for the existing ones, the data quality in Marketo is perceived as better than in CRM.@Tried experimenting with the "skip new leads and updates" functionality but to no avail.Nicol Batra
Would be great to be able to subscribe to RCE dashboards, not just individual reports (similar to how you can subscribe to dashboard in SFDC).I often get requests to subscribe people to some of the key dashboards we have in RCE, but there is sadly no way to do that and I have to instead subscribe them to 10 different reports, which pretty much beats the purpose of having dashboards in the first place.
I'd like to be able to change text if there is a field that doesn't have a value. For instance, if the Account Owner field is empty, I'd like to insert the text "we", and if it's not empty, I'd like to insert "I". This would allow more personalized emails while allowing a fallback email to sound as if it's coming from a team within the company.(Perhaps this can be done with segments, but that seems a bit cumbersome for something that should be fairly simple that could be done within the email.)
Hi,Many of our web pages are solution or product focused. Product or solution interest is stored with-in page's meta tag, so it is search friendly. We are implementing some java script to report on leads' product interest, however it could even be an out of box feature.Add pages meta tags (at least 1-2 meta tags) to the Visits Web Page activity, and include those as a Constraint on the Visited Web Page filter and Visits Web Page trigger. Many thanks to Elliott Lowe for suggesting to post this idea.ThanksDeepak
Hi there,I think it would great idea if Marketo came up with a function/filter that would allow users to exclude any emails they don't wish to see applied to their Email Performance report -- which could skew the end results. At this time, you are only able to check (or uncheck) the emails to report on one at a time in the Setup tab. However, this method is extremely inefficient. I want to be able to exclude all the emails that contain certain keywords, such as "Confirmation" or "Operational", with just one single click or a filter. The same idea should apply to Landing Page Performance report as well.Thank you!Wena
This idea has been submitted previously over the past 2 years or more - please please please put some kind of verify in place for users who click 'Approve Draft' or 'Discard Draft' buttons. Becuase they are immediately next to one another and there is no pop-up prompt for "Are you sure" after the button is clicked, it's too easy for a user to accidentally approve unwanted changes or delete intended changes.
When evaluating whether a field is being used or not, Field Management allows me to see all of the Forms, Smart List and Smart Campaigns, where the field is referenced, which is helpful. Also helpful would be an indication of the number of lead records that have a value in the field, so you can see how prolific its data is (other MA solutions provide this). Also helpful would be the last field update date, so you can see if the field data is being changed.
As a web data analyst I have to answer simple questions like:How are our customers interacting with our website? What is typical web behavior for a user who goes from unknown lead to customer?I use lots of other tools but the data is not as rich as what is in web activity in marketo via munchkin. Exporting excel files to obtain munchkin web activity data is incredibly slow and combining the data for 100's/1000's of customers would be messy and time consuming. Its all already in marketo! Let me get it!
The scenario is simple, I need 1000 contacts that meet X and Y criteria, to be called by xyz Salesforce Queue. The difference between percentiles of a very large audience, (around 50k) is the difference between having 1000 and 1500 contacts. Sure, there is always the workaround to go through a series of smartlists to make them around such audience. But sometimes you really need 1000 not 1020, or 980.
Communication limits are basically useless because all Smart Campaigns ignore them by default. By default, all Smart Campaigns should block non-operational emails once the Communication Limit is reached. Ignoring the Communication Limit should be a special exception. This prevents accidentally over-emailing.
When I seted up Marketo language Japanese, I confused.at Mail Program, "Audience" is translated "対象ユーザ".But "ユーザ" is "users", is not "leads" and "user" means Marketo login user according to MCE."対象リード" "送信先" "配信先" etc. is better.
We have hundreds of leads in Marketo whose email addresses are not valid and their Email field actually has a squiggly red line under the Email field value and hover text that explains the value has an incorrect format and provides an example (screen shot below); however, none of these leads have their Email Invalid field value set to 'true'. Marketo should set the Email Invalid field value to 'true' on those leads it recognizes as having an invalid email address. When we attempt to send an email to leads with one of these invalid email addresses, a Email Bounced Soft activity record is created whose Detail field is 'System send failure: To address parse error...' or 'System send failure: Email injection error'. It's nice that Marketo intercepts these and actually doesn't send them, but since they aren't sent, they never have a Category 2 Hard Bounce, which currently is the only case where Marketo will automatically change the Email Invalid field value to 'true'.
In the Will I get an email confirmation when I am accepted to join a MUG? discussion reply by Liz Courter, she indicated that there was no confirmation sent when a request to join a MUG has been approved. I'd suggest that a better UX would be to send a confirmation notice, so that the person has a positive indication of their acceptance (hopefully within a couple of days) and is prompted to visit the new group to which they have been accepted.
