Text mode is my kryptonite! We use alot of automation in our workflows. I am trying to create a new dashboard view representing specific elements tied to our automation scenarios. We have parent tasks that represent our collateral routing channels in a more holistic project. Within those channels we have many nested tasks as well as assignees. I need to represent the global channel collateral status but with specific assignees within the nested tasks (we call them route owners and they can change depending on the type of collateral routing as well as have more than one route owner). Is there a way to pull specific assignees in at this more global level? We do have assignees to specific job roles and we also have tagging on the specific tasks that I need to point to to get the assignee. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Hello! I'm trying to create a project report that shows actual duration of projects. One column is pulling the template duration, but I also want to show in a separate column the duration the project ACTUALLY took. Taking the actual start date and add up the actual completion date and show what that duration is (keep in mind, we have our schedule set up not to include weekends and holidays so it's not as straightforward as adding the days between the two dates). This will then show me a comparison to what the project SHOULD have started vs when it did and then how long is actually took. Ultimately, I want to show two things: 1) are our templates set up accurately for the duration needed and 2) we are allocating enough time, but our projects are starting too late; therefore we're always late getting them done. Warning: I do not understand text mode well at all. HA!
Hello community. Our users are saying that some time between 12/19/24 and 12/23/24 something changed in their Time Sheets when logging against a Project, when they are selecting Hour Type. It used to be "Issue Time". However now its "Project Time". I can see in the Hour Type configuration page there are two hour types, Issue Time and Project Time. However I think that Issue Time is reserved for Logging Hours against Requests. What makes this more confusing. is we had re-labeled "Projects" in our Layout Template to be "Issues" And I think maybe that carried over to re-label the Project Time Hour Type. And maybe its not now? However, did something change around that time that is now forcing them to use Project time?
Hi All,recently I found a calculated field in our instance created by someone earlier, that includes this reference:{portfolio|portfolioMM}.{name}Could someone please explain me what this is / how it is different from {portfolio}.{name}I searched the forum and this came up a few times, along with {programMM|program}.{name}, but w/o any explanation about the MM part.Thank you,Tibor
Hi All, I trying to workout a fusion scenario that once a user is assigned to an issue, they are immediately assigned to the first stage of the approval process for the issue. All assistance is greatly appreciated.
Is there a way to see task milestones in individual projects from a Program level? I am looking for a way to view/share a Gantt chart that shows multiple projects within a Program and the various steps required for each of the projects. Currently when I open a Gantt chart view within a program, it just shows a single line for the project as a whole.
Hi folks, seeing if anyone has a way to do this...I have a task report pulling values from a task custom form on all projects via templates that indicates if the project met or didn't meet the SLA (based on the task custom form looking at when a certain set of tasks in the project was completed vs the SLA). I have this working fine, and reports with bar charts show projects that didn't vs. did meet the SLA. What I'm after is if any the projects ever when to On Hold status any point in the project. I want to add this as a report column and not a filter since I don't want to filter them out, but just to give context in a column to show for example XYZ projects that didn't meet the SLA, the column can show me if it ever went On Hold (not tasks, the project itself). Is this possible in a text mode value expression in a column? I tried messing with cicontains=On Hold and project:noteText but not getting anywhere.
I tried to see the projects under the program( which I could see it before) however, the below error message shows up. I refresh the page, re-start workfront and PC, did everything I can do, but still I cannot see the list of projects ( only project I cannot see...)"An error has occurred and we are working to resolve the request. To continue with your work, try refreshing this browser page." If there are anyone knows how to fix this? That would be super helpful!
Hello,From my testing I do not think this is possible but I thought I would ask the community...I would like to display the {plannedCompletionDate} value the color "blue" IF the Task/Milestone is 100% complete...etc.each column has a unique milestone IDeach row is a project My text code...displayname=Planned Completion Date of R1 Design Complistdelimiter=<div>listmethod=nested(tasks).liststype=iteratevalueexpression=IF({milestone}.{ID}="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx",CONCAT({plannedCompletionDate}))valueformat=HTML
Hi!I'm using a kick-start to generate a slew of new issues for a queue. Many, if not all of the issues need to have multiple users assigned to them. I can't figure out how to assign multiple users using the "setAssignedToID" field. Is this even possible? Thank you for any recommendations you might have! Corey
I ran a task hour report, but it’s pulling duplicate task entries. When I use the matrix to sum the hours by job role, the results are skewed. It seems that if someone logs time more than once on the same task, the report isn’t showing each time entry individually. Instead, it’s summing the hours first and then applying that sum to each duplicate entry, which inflates the totals. Has anyone experienced this issue? Is there a way to configure the report so that each time entry on a task is shown separately instead of using a summed value?
I have a scenario where I am automatically approving an issue and updating its status to Approved. After the approval, I attempt to convert the issue into a project using the Misc Action module. While doing this, I select the Preserve Issue option so that the original issue remains and is linked as the resolvable object for the newly created project. However, once the conversion happens, the issue’s status changes to New because the project begins in the Planning status. My intent is to retain the issue’s status as Approved, even though the project itself starts in Planning. Is it possible to maintain the issue’s status as Approved in this scenario?
I'm trying to set some field values at project template, but they are not being reflected at fusion converted project.I used the misc module for conversion and used preserveIsuue.
Hi All, Is there way to get the system audit log details in fusion Foe example if user access changes from "x" to "y" by "System". How we can trigger or search in workfront fusion. Thanks in Advance!
I wrote a nifty scenario, sorry I'm fairly new to Fusion and this one I'm very proud of lol, that monitors a OneDrive folder for new files and then imports the issues listed in the CSV file. The problem is I can't make the issue show the actual requested by as any one but Fusion. The only field I seem to be able to change is the submitted by. Even though I update the Entered By date with a column from the CSV displaying who I want to be the requester, it changes it to Fusion every time. Has anyone found a way around this? We need the requester to show as the actual person in the overview section. Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Hi All, What are the best practices to store static data(10-15 Custom TaskId's in JSON format ) in Fusion to use it in scenario for filtering purposes in JSONata module ? Changes to JSON data will happen if there is a need to add/delete TaskID when required( again not so frequently). Is it better to store this data in Setvariables or datastore or data structure ? Appreciate for any feedback/recommendations. Thanks.
Hey Fusion Community, I'm helping a customer migrate data (projects and tasks) from their soon-to-be previous project management system to Workfront. We'll be exporting files from their old PM system and I'll need to import them to Workfront, but I need to be sure said files are associated with the correct projects and tasks that are imported as well.Anyone have suggestions on how I might accomplish this in Fusion? I'm good with importing projects and tasks, it's the part about importing files and associating with the correct projects and tasks. Thanks!Nick
If start date and end date has to be changed in 30projects suggest a fusion scenario to built.
I am attempting to trigger a scenario when a file is uploaded on to certain tasks on a project. I thought using the Template Task ID to narrow down my trigger would help but I don't seem to trigger anything when uploading. I also tried adding the PortfolioID to narrow down my trigger but that also seems to cause the scenario to miss my file uploads. Any off in my webhook here? The file I am uploading is on the Task level, FYI.
Hi WF Fusion Community, Does anyone have a recommended approach for the most efficient way to import new tasks that have predecessors? Also, if the external project management systems I'm exporting projects and tasks from doesn't assign a number for task order, does this kind of screw me over for attempting to ensure tasks are in the correct order when imported to Workfront? Thanks!Nick
We've been dealing with a LOT of brain-breaking issues lately. I won't rehearse them all here, but they're all basically caused by the SharePoint integration for Workfront. Just seeing the word "SharePoint" makes me want to curse. Unrelated to SharePoint, an IT engineer friend of mine shared "No as a service," which is hysterically funny to me. I love an API which only exists to provide funny and lame excuses as to why something cannot be done. It's so pointless but in the best way possible. I wanted to figure out a use for this silly thing. I needed a mental break to do something Fusion related which had nothing to do with our SharePoint misery. So, I made my first Fusion-based easter egg. In our help queue, if you add the phrase "no-as-a-service" in one of the fields, Fusion will bypass our usual support ticket routing and give you a lame excuse. It's a simple little thing; this is what it looks like: It's pretty simple; it's just making a GET call to h
I have a scenario that converts an issue to a project and leaves an update for a developer, the update shows up in their email but not on the project. When I go back and look at the scenario history the whole scenario ran just fine with no errors. Has anybody encountered this before? Do you have any ideas as to what is happening? Normally for these kinds of errors I would just add a sleep module to account for processing time but this scenario has been running just fine for the past 9 months and I have never seen this error.
Ji, I have a single line text field on a custom form on a task. This field is for users to input a live url link to an article once it has been published in AEM. In the Task Details the link is clickable and will go to the article. This field is referenced in a card on a board as well. The same exact field on the board is NOT a clickable link. Is there anyway to make it clickable on the card? I will add screenshots for reference. Thanks! Robin
I briefly mentioned this in another comment but wanted to ask the question here. Last year, we talked with Adobe's training folks about developing a curriculum for an advanced Fusion training. This would not be a training which would happen right after the initial Fusion bootcamp. Rather, this would be a course one would take after a few months of using the tool. Obviously, you cannot cover everything within one bootcamp. Heck, you can't do it with two. But there are many things which most Fusion users don't know that they don't know until they're trying to build something...and they just can't figure it out (without having to engage Adobe consulting). I can think of a few things off the top of my head right now--advanced use of the HTTP module, work with arrays, custom webhooks--which would be useful for users to receive instruction.Also...we need more instructional materials on Experience League (which is a separate issue). Is this something which is being wo
Is it possible to reference a task's collection in a project report? Yes I know that I can just make a task report for this but I would like to get to know the syntax and what the limitations are before creating a whole new report.
