I have a question more on the ground on understanding why it is done so.So I have a servlet in my project on which when I am using @Reference is throws me error "The annotation @Reference is disallowed for this location". But a similar servlet in a new project is not throwing the error. For both of them I am using OSGI annotations. I read that we have to do @Reference in a different way https://www.aemquickstart.in/2018/10/annotation-reference-is-disallowed-for.html . It works . But My question is why are we doing it in that way ? Just want to understand the reasoning and logic and technicalities. Also , why it worked in my new project . Since it worked in one and not in the other , I am bit confused and eager to know what actually controls this Worked Didn't workThanksVeena

Hello All,  As per the GDPR laws have mandated that organisations can no longer rely on passive consent for cookies The ECID itself have an ability to wait for opt-in before firing. For that purpose the Opt-in service is a JavaScript library bundled with Experience Cloud ID (ECID) and exists in Visitor JS in the global  adobe object as the adobe.optIn object.  But wondering how we can wait for other Third party extension including (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) not to fire on page load but fire only when consent provided.  I'm looking either using OneTrust (Consent management platform / Plain JS ) solution.  Thanks in advance.@andrey_osadchuk  @analytics_union @thebenrobb @pratheeparunraj 

Hi All, I am having a hard time figuring out if it is possible to copy and paste a Experience Fragment Template into another folder. When I try to do so, I will get this error. In the example below I was trying to copy and paste a Header(Experience Fragment) from "us" to the site folder in "Language Masters"    

We have included the fonts using below syntax@font-face {  font-family: SlatePro-Bk;  src: url("../css/fonts/SlatePro-Bk.woff") format("woff");}Font file is placed in apps/{project-folder}/clientlibs/{client-libraryfolder}/css/fonts/SlatePro-Bk.woff.Fonts are not loaded it gives 404 error when the clientlib is rendered from apps using allowproxy= true. It is working fine when we move the clientlibraries to /etc/clientlibs.Is this expected ? If yes, Do we have any other way to include the fonts/images in the clientlibrary?

Looking for a solution for the following case:A smart list is defining an audience for a certain email campaign. The content in that email is defined by velocity scripting, it is looking to a json object (stored in the script token ). Depending on additional parameters, there is a change that the velocity code is returning an empty string as the result of the routine. ( which would be completely correct)In that case I should block the email from being send for that person. Does someone has a proposal on how to implement this?

Hi, I activated pURLs in our account and fixed them on our Marketo Landingpages like Sanford suggested in https://blog.teknkl.com/tag/purl/. This works pretty fine. As most of our website activities are done on our regular (non-Marketo) website I was wondering if I can use "Marketo unique codes" there in any way? E. g. is it possible to enter the unique code in a form (e. g. as hidden field) to associate the form fill with a specific user? Is it possible to prefill my forms on a non-Marketo LP by using the Marketo unique code or a similar identifier?  Is it possible to use the unique code in the API? (There is no API name shown but you can as well us a lead id in the API and the lead id is not even menitioned in the Field Manager)Do you know any more use cases you can use the unique code for beside sharing personalized URL for Marketo Landing Pages?Thanks and Kind regardsWolfram

Good afternoon, I seem to have an issue with the mails I send. Everytime I edit the text of a mail, script tags appear at the end, in every text box of the mail, which prevents me from approving the mail. If I delete them all, then approve the mail, but need to edit something else, those script tags will come back and I need to remove them again, even in boxes that I haven't opened during the editing.You can see the kind of script tags I have in the screenshot attached.I haven't found anything online, only one person had a smiliar issue, but nothing else. Can you help? Many thanks!CharlotteCapture — imgbb.com

Hi, I'm new to Firefly and I have a question regarding possible action conflicts. I initialized an app based on ACS template and another app using Analytics template in the same workspace. Afterwards, I tried to run the ACS app within its folder, but when I invoked the default action Analytics action was fired instead of the ACS one. Is this the expected behaviour? When I run an app does it always run the last one that was initialized in the given workspace? Cheers,Rob

We are using Launch to manage the codes that sets the cookies but not to ingest the One trust script as this is directly implemented on the site.I have categorised both the AMCV, AMCVS cookies as strictly necessary in the Onetrust setup so these cookies gets dropped as soon as the cookie banner pops up but I noticed that additional cookies are getting dropped e.g. the demdex cookies from the ecid. question is do I need to categorise this as strictly necessary or is there a way to block this until consent is given? I am using the ecid extension in Launch.I also have a few plugins that helps support the Adobe implementation and I also see these cookies e.g. s_visit, s_visitnum being dropped, question is how to I block these plugin cookies until consent is given? I am using the Onetrust Launch extension as a blocking mechanism. Thanks in advance to whomever can help.

I have a use case where I cannot use the usual method of collecting custom event data via Adobe Data Collection which is creating a rule then setting action as Adobe Analytics - Set Variables, then Send Beacon then Clear Variables. I need to tightly control what data is sent with the hit to Adobe. In Data Collection the rule fires. My main issue is with the Action in the rule, which is set to Custom Code. To control the data I want to send to AA, I'm using Javascript to set a few variables then send the data via s.tl() method. The issue is that when the call is sent it's sent as a page view. In the Experience Platform Debugger, isPageView is true on the hit. It should be false; it should be a s.tl() with the link type being "o" (custom link). This is the code. What needs to be changed to make it a non-pageview hit? Btw all the vars I'm setting and sending are fine and being collected, the only issue is the hit being a page view. <script src="AppMeasurement.js"></script&gt

I have this targetPageParamsAll() in the AEM page which would return the user groups as an array.targetPageParamsAll = function() { var userGroups = "everyone,test1,test2,beta1"; var userGroups = userGroups.split(","); return { "userGroups": userGroups } };  Attaching a screenshot on the available mbox parameter w.r.t userGroups below, My requirement is to check whether the user belongs to a certain group and return that group name from the script. With the above highlighted, would I need to check each of these individual params(ranging from 0 to 16) and return for true cases.Is it possible I can get the userGroup as an array instead(var userGroups = mbox.param('userGroups');) and check whether the user belongs to a particular group(eg:beta1)? Some recommendations on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all,We are trying to use PDF viewer core component in our project. I extended the core component, by creating a proxy component, and it is working as expected. But the download option in dropdown in the PDF viewer iframe is not coming up in smaller devices and it is intermittent. On page load it is coming up , sometimes it disappears.Have someone  faced this before ?

Hi,we have show hide dropdown and in both fileds we have one filed ie alt text field is mandatory, since author will select the one field they have to provide alt for the selected one.But dialog is not closing until we provide values to both alt text Scenario: I have a show-hide dropdown, in which two values are there and by selecting any value we are doing show hide field based on selection.Now for each field we have one mandatory field.for example in dropdown we have value [External and Static Content], on selection of external we have some filed that are Mandatory and same for Static Content.But Since we are not required to put any value for other dropdown value. But it is not allowing me to close the dialog. I came across one solution where we need to write a custom JS  $("name='./<your field name>'").attr("aria-required", "true");   here the dialog in which I am working on and not able to resolve the problem.Create a Component "test"--

Then Both of the data objects are mapped to a eVars to have the content type captured for reporting.However, when in the analytics I am building the segments using the evar for the contentType dataobject of the page then the analytics numbers goes down for the metrics.    This is how the analytics numbers are showing down:Any suggestions or solutions on that.Thanks,JV 

When configured one specific component on the page, I see that Layout container [root] overlapping all other components above the specific component making other components disable to edit. Please help to debug and resolve this issue.

Hi,I have a requirement where we are migrating from Windows server to Linux Server. The repository size is approximately 10TB and it has lot of custom indexes and both windows and Linux servers are on-premises.Is there any way to move the indexes from windows server to linux server?Note : In past if took more than 5 days to index the entire repository, so re-indexing in linux server will cause data inconsistencies.

Our authors can no longer view the modifed date in the Touch UI for assets in the DAM. I can view the jcr:lastModified timestamp for assets uploaded to the DAM in CRXDE so we know it's still getting updated in the property field. Is anyone familiar with this error?
