Every application needs to read env specific or tuneable config parameters.The only way to do this is OSGi configs.Finding an end to end example of creating config variables (not via UI on a specific instance, but in code in git so it can be deployed to other envs), is difficult.There seem to be two types of post on the subject:those going into the JAVA code on creating OSGi services, requiring creating, understanding and debugging hundreds, if not thousands, of lines of java code to read a hand full of variables.  The problem with this approach is there is no way to set the variables before hand, and setup env specific values in git which can be deployed.  e.g. this post: https://aem.redquark.org/2018/10/day-12-creating-your-custom-osgi.html Those tutorials who only mention config files.  This seems to allow pre-creation of values for different envs, but no way to read or update them.  E.g. this post: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experienc

For an AEM Headless Implementation, we create 1. content using Content Fragments and  2. define an AEM Content Services end-points using AEM Sites’ Templates and Pages that expose the  data as JSON.How to know how many of Content Fragments and AEM Sites’ Templates are required for a specific implementation? Let us assume a medium sized implementation.I am aware that it is dependent on functionalities.Is there a thumb rule or so? 2. AEM Sling Models also expose the data to outside world as JSON. I am currently working on HeroBanner component and I am using reference for OOB Breadcrumb component which i made it non-editable. I tried changing "StartLevel" value to "4" in the dialog and design_dialog properties but it is still not working as expected, does anyone know any trick or code to overwrite default StartLevel value? Is it possible to include multiple dimensions into an API 2.0 Request? At the moment we are generating a Report in Adobe Analytics Data Warehouse with 10 dimensions and 3 Metrics. Would it be possible to do exactly the same report by API 2.0 or like it was available in 1.4 do an Data Warehouse API Call with 2.0? Is that possible or is Data Warehouse API deprecated?

I have the below code:let fontField = $(".cq-dialog").find("#contentColor")[0];fontField.value="#ffffff";fontField.disabled=true; the colorfield shows #ffffff and as disabled. But after closing the dialog, I don't see the color of the font as white (#ffffff). If I comment the line of code having disabled, the color starts reflecting. If i comment the third line of code, the value for the colorfield gets stored in the node but if I don't comment the third line then the value doesn't get stored at all. What am I missing?(N.B this was working fine until yesterday, but today without making a change, it started breaking.)

Hi,I created a tab component in which each tab has its own parsys. I am using a multifield xtype to add these tabs and then a new parsys area is displayed under the new tab. Now the problem is when i reorder the tabs, the content under that particular tab is not moving.can anyone please help me on this. 

We want to serialize a numeric event so it is only captured once.  Is this possible? I can only find separate documentation about serialization and numeric types, but nothing about them together. If it is possible, what is the required syntax in the tag code? Assume our Event is XXX. We have 2 values to populate; the serialization value and a numeric:eventXXX:46f0f2e2abcf75579c74eventXXX=100 So, should the Syntax by:eventXXX:46f0f2e2abcf75579c74=100 Or perhaps this:eventXXX=100:46f0f2e2abcf75579c74 Or something else perhaps?

Hello Experts, While syncing Custom Objects (COs) to Marketo , I am seeing that some records have errored with the following error,   "Found more than one Company with id18"   I was trying to query the Marketo companies object ("/rest/v1/companies.json?") but it gives me this error,   "Company API disabled"   Reason for me querying the companies object is because I want to check if really there are more than once companies that are present in Marketo for that particular id18 field. Can you let me know how I can cross check the error message to make sure Marketo is returning the correct error. I need to know this information to address the root cause of my sync failures.   Thanks, Paul.

HiSo i changed the value of a prop, but all the data (new) is getting attributed to the original value. Any idea why that might be happening or is there any way to bypass this except using processing rules?

Hello,Could anyone explain the difference between creating Segments based on Visits versus Hits. I'm thinking that it has to do with the ability to report across instances (not Visits) but please confirm.

Hello in an adobe campaign classic workflow I am using a "Test" node (the yellow diamond) to check that another workflow "TECHNICALWORKFLOW" has run today before proceeding. This is working well currently with the following script:  formatDate(getOption("lastRunDate_TECHNICALWORKFLOW"),'%2D-%2M-%4Y') == formatDate(getCurrentDate(),'%2D-%2M-%4Y') I would like to make it so that the test instead, looks to check the TECHNICALWORKFLOW has run any time in the past 3 days, rather than today. I think I need to add +3 days somewhere to the second half of the script, but cannot work it out.  Thanks

Dear Members,We have one requirement to customise the message, that we are getting while canceling the inheritance on a live copy page.So  can anyone suggest a way, if we have to accomplish the above requirement.Step to get the message:1. Open any live copy page in editor.html.2. Click on a component then you will have on Cancel Inheritance Icon.3. Hi, Hope everyone is doing well. Has anyone came across a situation where they created Nested Nurture Programs inside Engagement Program and on the cast day, one of the Program ran like the first one in order but the second program did not run. I am trying to figure out as to what went wrong. I ran my cast at 2.p.m  However, I noticed that one Nested Nurture program ran but other did not run. Both are having batch campaigns inside the program & pretty much similar setup just with the difference of having different emails in Flow step.  I have attached screenshot of the setup. Auto-target / auto-personalisation experts! Can you please help!!  We recently started running an AP on a brand website, where our visitors are not mostly not authenticated (anonymous). After 15 days of ML training period, we got a list of ML segments, but majority of segments were based on browser, user OS, screen size, etc. We do not believe those would have had impact on the way visitors responded or not responded to half a dozen offers we put in mix.  Can you give me suggestions on how we can improve this. We are about to reset and restart this. Are there audiences that can be added in AAM or Target that would be effective in anonymous user segmentation?Are there effective tactics on designing blacklist for ML? Also, on the blacklisting process, if you have experience using it, can you share your learnings?Thanks everyone for your help!

Hi!I was creating a table using a segment from a Flow to select the Home page.Home entry total is the segment created from the first node in the flow: I wanted to know which channels those entries were from. But I'm seeing entries from direct traffic under the Paid Campaign which excludes its. To compare it, I used the visits metric and I'm getting the expected result. Why is that? Thanks 

I copied a sling servlet which had the path of /bing/demo/querybuilder @Component(service = Servlet.class, property = { Constants.SERVICE_DESCRIPTION + "=Query Builder servlet","sling.servlet.methods=" + HttpConstants.METHOD_GET, "sling.servlet.paths=" + "/bin/demo/querybuilder" }) In creating our own sling servlets, we tried to change the path (e.g. to "/api/xxx/yy"), but no path other than /bin/demo/ seems to work. What is magical about this path?

I have one rule in analytics that rule need to be  enablle only in prod and it should be disable in stage how can I achive this.?

Hi - We have implemented Advertising Analytics for Adobe Analytics and the AMO ID and respective metrics are coming through as expected (AMO Impressions, AMO Cost, AMO Clicks, etc).  The issue we have is that the AMO classification variables (Account, Ad Type, Keyword, etc) are not being set and are all showing 'unspecified'.  I searched all the documentation and help files and do not see any set up or configuration steps that we may have missed.  Everything leads me to believe that this classification is set up by default upon configuring the report suite.  Any help would be appreciated.

Some cart additions are not showing up in analytics. I have several triggers for the add to cart page view and one of them is not showing up. The call looks identical in the debugger, apart from a single evar value in the products string (eVar42=quickview instead of eVar42=yes or eVar42=no or evar42=variant), and the network shows it going to the same Adobe server. I'm at a loss for how to debug this. Any pointers? The Only difference I can see is that the page views with eVar42 for a particular value just don't seem to register. Thanks
