When content authors upload PDF files into the DAM, a thumbnail icon is generated but it's missing text when the going through the DAM update asset worklfow. (which includes the Process Thumbnails step)  If the content author manually runs the batch-thumbnails workflow on the PDF, the thumbnail appears correctly with the text. Is there a setting that I need to select in the Process Thumbnails step?

Normally I should can assign user "system admin" permission on user access settings. But today I cannot find "system admin" on user's access setting selection. Are there anyone know how to assign user "system admin" permisssion now? Thanks for help.

I'm new to AEM Forms 6.5 and trying to understand how to create a dynamic default value for text fields.  Obviously I know I can input the default value in the field's property value, but that doesn't give me the result I'm looking for.  What I would like my form fields to do is have a default value in the text field, then when a user enters the field, the default text disappears, but if the user exits the text field without inputting any data, the default value reappears.  Is this possible?

Hi All, We have a one website i.e SITE-A setup already in place with maven project code base in AEM as cloud service.Now requirement is to reuse the same components from the code base for SITE-B and also possibility to create SITE-B specific components with new template for SITE-B Questions -what should be the right approach to create the correct maven project code structure to include SITE-B template, reuse existing component and few new one one will be create for SITE-B How the dispatcher configuration will be separate for Site-B  @arunpatidar @konstantyn_diachenko @joerghoh

Hello, I need to deploy a large number of DAM assets from an AEM Author instance to the Publish server. Currently, I'm considering two approaches: Packaging & Replication – Creating a package of assets, replicating it, and then deploying it to the Publish instance.Activate Tree Function – Using AEM’s "Activate Tree" feature to publish assets in bulk.Are there any better or more efficient methods for handling this? Hi folks. trying to make a column that works out the days a task finishes on from the start of a project and puts in a numerical value. So Project start date - 1/1Task A > Due Date =  1/20column says 19 days  Bit of a rubbish explanation i know. but if theres any way to do this calculation it would really help!! thanks! 

When adding the State field to a form, it automatically generates state values, including all 50 U.S. states. Is there a way to add a new state or territory to this predefined list? Specifically, we would like to include the Virgin Islands in the available options.Additionally, if this modification is possible, would the change apply retroactively to all existing forms that use the State field?

Hi,While working on templates for Experience fragment I noticed something -In the WKND site, the sample Experience fragment template's sling:resourceType for initial node points to wknd/components/xfpage, whereas the sling:resourceType for structure node points to wknd/components/pageIn contrast, in the archetype package the sling:resourceType for both initial and structure node point to ${appId}/components/xfpage.Could you please provide some insights into why this difference exists and which approach is recommended.

I have a scenario that looks for a change in a custom field in an issue and then send an email with the change and the name of the issue.  I'd also like to include a link to the issue.  I'm including the field call URL from the watch field module but it's value is always blank in the bundle and subsequent email.  Any ideas how to include a link?  Many thanks in advance.  

Hello,Having a weird issue with a content fragment template that I'm a little stumped on. I've found the following article that details how to build multifield components for content fragments; I was able to get this to work with some multifield containers that have multiple items in them (textfields, dropdowns, and booleans.) However, I am currently trying to build another multifield, but this time one whose container has the datepicker, and it has some weird rendering issues.  The datepicker is rendering within the multifield container just fine (with the option to add and move as many as I like), but also renders a single datepicker just below the multifield component. Both fields save as well. Hi All, As part of cloud migration we are planning to migrate import from org.apache.commons.lang to org.apache.commons.lang3.(lang3). And to send a mail we are using Day common Mail template (com.day.cq.commons.mail.MailTemplate).And we are using below mailTemplate.getEmail method and in one of the parameters we are using StringLookup which is part of org.apache.commons.lang.text.StrLookup (version1) as below.import org.apache.commons.lang.text.StrLookup;Email email = mailTemplate.getEmail(StrLookup.mapLookup(params), mail);  How do we migrate to version3 as org.apache.commons.lang3.text.StrLookup is deprecated .Do we need to rewrite in some other way.?Thanks in Advance.

Hi, I am trying to get the 'getNewRepeat' plugin to work.  Issue: the value being set is always shown as "new" and never shows "repeat".  So far I have:published the Common Web SDK Plugins extensioncreated a data element for the "getNewRepeat" pluginapplied the data element value to an evar ECID is enabled for the tag, but the value is always showing as "new". I also confirmed the cookie 's_nr' is being set, and also only ever shows as 'new'. I am perhaps missing some other configuration that assists with this plugin to determine if 'new' or 'repeat'?

Hi all, I am trying to create a page dialog based on the permissions. If I have tab1...tab5, I like to create the page template with the dialog having 5 tabs for the admin, and only the first 4 tabs for regular content editors. The "granite:rendercondition" doesn't work for "cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog" sling:resourceType. I wonder if it works by creating a client library. I figure that Granite.author returns "undefined" in my AEM 6.5.11 with Touch UI mode so I can't get any user info from the Granite API. My initial idea is to hide/show the tab as: if(!Granite.author.ContentFrame.getUserID() belongs to "admin")   hide tab5 Am I missing something here? Thanks! -kt

Hello,I am encountering the following issue.Whenever a dialog box contains multiple tabs (granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/tabs) and in one of those tabs is nested a Coral3 multifield (granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/multifield), when dragging and dropping the single fields of the multifield to rearrange their order (i.e. when clicking on the moveUpDown icon), the scroll bar on axis-y disappears, since a javascript is fired that sets the property overflow of the container to hidden.The same dynamic does not reproduce if the multifield is not nested in a tab. This is, more or less, the situation before clicking on the button to move the fields:(some of the fields are blanked out, but they are actually there)And this is an image of what happens when you click on the highlighted icon to move the field up and down:As you can see, the scrollbar disappears. To be more specific, this line of code in the coralui3.js is executed: Which sets the overflo

When you f ex open a Journey report in AJO you have a button that points to CJA - for deeper analysis (it we have understood this correct) My organization has several questions connected to this feature. Se attached picture1. When you click on this button, when it is enabled, what happens. Does it only open the CJA application as a short cup to start the app, or does it actually open a view to dive deeper into the data regarding the Journey you opened the app from - what ca we expect to happen when we use this button.2. How can be enable this. We have license for both products but somehow they are not connected so the button is not enabled. How do we proceed to enable it. 3. When looking av reports in AJO and then moving into CJA - do they use the exact data source. I expect to see the same data in CJA as in AJO but, maybe dipper reports and more advanced reports in CJA - but still the same data source - or is it collecting data from different sources?
