Hi,Not sure if anyone has faced similar issue. When i enable target on custom component the editbar of that component disappears and i can not revert back it to same component, even i don't know where "disabletargeting" option will come on edit bar or not (as it should be based on default behavior)Please share if you find any solution regard this issue.Thanks,Pawan

Earlier I was able to instantiate sightly helper java class(extends wcmuse) of osgi bundle in SlingAllMethodsServlet context and even able to access all the getter methods in that class.But in our project we started working with spring mvc and now I am unable to instantiate the sightly helper class.I have even mentioned all the package info in pom.xml(import and export packages).Error Message:org.apache.sling.scripting.sightly.SightlyException: Identifier com.test.sightly.TestSightly cannot be correctly instantiated by the Use API

Related to another post (AEM Dispatcher not resolving vanity urls),​ I've created some rewrite rules in my httpd.conf in my dispatcher so that when I hit my site's root (e.g. www.mysite.com/), it should rewrite/redirect to a page of my choosing (e.g. www.mysite.com/content/mysite/login.html).However, when I hit the root, I'm getting a response with a redirect (302) to /index.html instead, even though I've created a rewrite rule for this.In my httpd.conf, I have:Ideally, what I'd like is a combination of vanity urls and rewrite so that anything that hits the root get redirected to the vanity url, which I had tried to set up by configuring the sling:redirect property of the /content node, but the dispatcher keeps returning index.html instead of the value of the sling:redirect.Thanks!

We are migrating our website to AEM 62 from other CMS. We made our site responsive last year by using bootstrap framework.Now, I would like to bring in the responsive feature of current site as is by using bootstrap . A lot of effort was spent on this project and i don't want to waste it by changing to AEM Grid. Saying that I would like to know if anybody else has faced similar challenge. I would like NOT to use AEM responsive grid for following reasons:1. We already have designed everything based on bootstrap responsive grid framework and multiple sites are already using it. Changing it to use AEM responsive grid would be one huge task.2. AEM responsive grid allows content authors to configure grid sizes which seems overkill to me, IMO, Content Authors should get predefined list of breakpoints for the layouts and they should decide which one to use from that list instead of configuring the grids themselves.3. Hi,I am trying to access currentStyle properties from within a SlingModel. The SlingModel is being called from a  HTL component using data-sly-use that has a functional design_dialog and accessible currentStyle.This was the only suggestion I could find using google:@Inject @Source("script-bindings")  private Style currentStyle;and then@PostConstructpublic void init() {     String startLevel = currentStyle.get("startLevel",String.class);  }This isn't working. Hi there,I'm digging into Marketo Asset database rest API. When I'm looking into Tokens endpoint, I noticed that the endpoint is in the format of:GET /rest/asset/v1/folder/416/tokens.json?folderType=Folder or ProgramSo I first tried to retrieve all folders through:GET /rest/asset/v1/folder/{id}.json?type=Folderand grab some folder IDs there.However, I see some of the responses shows an empty array of tokens for the specified folder, some return an error message like the following:{    "requestId": "15120#160fcb71012",    "success": false,    "errors": [        {            "code": "709",            "message": "50 Folder not found"        }    ]}I'm pretty sure the folder id exists because I copied it from 'Folders'So does anyone know why the folder was not found?Thanks,Jerry.

     Hi we are right now in AEM 6.2  We have been implementing client context for components to author and display different page content for different scenarios.     In the Same way we are looking into options like having metadata of the pdf also in client context. something like different metadata values of the same pdf for different scenarios.Example: When a user of a paritcular state logs in we show metadata specific to that state.                   When another user with a different state logs in we show completely different authored metadata specific to that state.So, Is it possible to have different Metadata's for a pdf using clientcontext? Is not possible using client context are there any other ways to achieve this result?

Folks, I am evaluating Adobe Experience Manager and I'm impressed by the power and and user interface of the overall solution.A primary requirement of my project is allowing B2B end-users to customize what they see on their landing page.  With traditional portal products like Liferay, Oracle WebCenter, and IBM Websphere portal, a user can access a slide-out "store" of portlets, and then add them to their landing page, and then to a certain extent can re-arrange tiles or regions on their landing page.I see that AEM can run portlets, but I wonder if I would have to code the end-user portlet selection capability on my own.    Please share your advice and links to examples; I've looked through the documentation but did not see anything which addresses this.The portlets would be free and the list would be filtered by the end-user's role.Jeff

Hi,I created a recurring campaign to send an email to users who have purchased last week (purchase date on or before current date - 7days and purchase date on or after current date -14days). The scheduler is set in the afternoon.In this workflow there is also a query that excludes users who have already received another email in the same day (the campaigns that they can receive in one day are several, for example: birthday mail, product mail... because they are scheduled in the morning).For example:Day 0: User XXX didn't purchase last week but today he receives birthday mailDay1: User XXX didn't purchase last week but today he receives product mailDay2: User XXX didn't purchase last week and he can receive the campaignNow the problem is: which is the correct way to include again in the workflow excluded users (who did not receive the delivery but were part of the initial target)?Thanks,Eveline

Hi there.I'm finding it difficult to activate Inbox Rendering for our build of Campaign v6.1.We have identified the external table used for targeting here:But in the instructions from Inbox rendering​, ​it asks me to "Extend the nms:seedMember schema and the linked input form to adapt the seed address definition mode to this target mapping." which is where I'm lost. How do I extend a schema?Where is the seed address definition mode?

I want to know the difference between the Fallout Report vs Flow in ad-hoc.My understanding is that fallout in forces the order by using sequential segmentation (i.e. then statement).However, I do not know what type of segmentation does the Flow report use. I assume unlike the ‘then’ statement, the flow report uses a direct sequence.Can anyone help me out with this? Kind Regards, Arsh

Hi,I need to unescape (and then escape again) a string result of using Sightly context "styleString":a string example is background-image: url(\2f content\2f dam\2fwebsites\2fglobal\2fimages-2\2f 2018\2f 05\2fKoala.jpg);I need to unescape the String in Java and then escape it again. StringEscapeUtils does not seem to work in this case. Do you know how can I escape/unescape strings result of Sightly's styleString encoding?Thanks!
