Hello everyone! I’m using a DIALOG PARTICIPANT STEP in a workflow I’m implementing in CQ 5.6.1.The Dialog consists in various checkboxes and the executor of the step will select some or none, depending on the situation.After the DIALOG STEP, there’s NO OPERATION STEP and then an OR SPLIT. In the script of this OR SPLIT I’d like to retrieve the data from the Dialog and use it for the logic implementation. I’ve tried the two approaches listed in the Workflow Step Reference (http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/workflows/wf-ref.html#Dialog Participant Step):       Storing data in the Workitem: the data of this dialog was stored in some variables in the workflow metadata.The path I found them was: /etc/workflow/instances/<date>/<model>/<history>/xxx/propertyname I’ve tried several ways of accessing their values through the OR SPLIT script but I didn’t succeeded.       Storing data in the Payload: the data of this dialog was stored in some variables in the payload metadat

Hi all ,We are facing this issue in RTE styles plugin.As per our requirement ,we need to have a lot of styles in our styles plugin dropdown.Many of which are buttons with varying sizes.In firefox,the styles dropdown is displaying the real time styles which will  get applied to the selected text.This results in styles dropdown being extended and all the styles are not accesible by mouse.However they are keyboard accesible.Please see if any one knows how to fix this as this is impacting us a lot and has been raised as a defect. Note-we are facing this issue only in firefox-ie and chrome are working fine.RegardsRashi

How to obtain an evaluation customer license for cq5 ?

Hi,I have some design questions related to hybris integration with AEM.Do we need to load all parts in to AEM from Hybris? Can we do web services call with out loading parts in to AEM? Is there any major build effort required if we go with this approach?How will be the search if we don't load parts in AEM? Is it configurable change for pointing AEM search to Hybris lucene for products search or any build effort required?Is there any performance issue if we load the parts in to AEM? Currently some 45 thousand is there it may go to 100 in future. Currently we dont have images may be in future we may add images as well.Thanks,Maruthi

Hi,I know that I can access the thumbnails of assets created in the dam via the following servlet:/content/dam/images/image.jpg.thumb.100.140.pngHowever when I tried uploading a custom rendition following the same naming convention ie: cq5dam.thumbnail.200.100.png I am unable to access it using the same method. So my question is how do I know what is the sling version I am using and can I update my felix/sling bundles to run on the newer version with the other CQ5/JCR API?Appreciate any inputs I can get.Thanks

I'm seeing lots of confusion around the Hybris packages for setting up the geometrixx outdoors AEM/Hybris demo and would like to try and figure out the correct packages to get things up and running. The documentation (http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/ecommerce/eCommerce-hybris.html) says that cq-hybris-update-content-5.6.200, and cq-geometrixx-hybris-content-5.6.200 are needed and can be downloaded via the daycare portal, those specific packages aren't available in the package share. I've looked in the daycare portal downloads section but can't find the packages. The documentation seems to be specifically setup for those packages and a separate Hybris server. I have a separate Hybris server up and running, but can't get things going on the AEM side despite trying out various package combinations. Can anyone point me where I can find the packages, or perhaps point me to an older version of the documentation that written for the 5.6100 packages available on the package share. Thanks

IHave a custom Newsletter component inherited from existing MCM news letter.When i apply style to the page i can see the styling been implemented on the publish server.But when the email is sent the same style is not implemented in the email received.i.e for example the font style ,color etc being used to design the news letter page. and it shows a plain text .I tested the geometrix news letter the same problem persist there as well.Is there any option to apply my custom css that can be visible when the email is received.I am sending the email to outlook 2003.I have read somewhere on the forums that email styles dose not work on html email sent if you use an external style sheet.is it true with cq as well?if so i have used an inline style tag in my jsp but still no luck .Please help.

Hi ,We have around half million assets in our repository, because of this the index size is huge. I have tried various techniques to reduce index size like purging workflow instance, audit  etc.Also tried almost every thing by following every step of this doc .http://www.wemblog.com/2012/01/how-to-reduce-lucene-index-size-in-cq.htmlThe only thing that i am missing is to configures list of stop words as it appears that by default CQ does FullText indexing of every word causing high index size.While digging deep i found various stop words list under lucene-analyzers-3.6.0\org\apache\lucene\analysis structure.However not sure whether it is used or not. How can we configured stop words setting for searchindex in CQ 5.5/CQ 5.6 .NB: I am not using SOLR.ThanksShishir Srivastava

Hi,I am new to CQ5 and I am trying to create a custom file upload component. I've succeeded with the implementation using XML HTTP request for HTML5 supported browsers.But i got stuck while implementing the same for non-HTML5 browsers like IE8. I checked the code in the DAM upload component (/libs/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/html5/UploadDialog.js) and found the below piece of code,var action = new CQ.form.UploadSubmitAction(this.form, config);this.form.doAction(action);The function UploadSubmitAction is present in the below path, which they are specifically using for non-HTML5 browsers,/libs/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/form/UploadSubmitAction.jsI am not sure how to use this function in my custom implementation as I am unable to call these functions using my form. Hi All,I am new to CQ, just started few weeks back.I have to create a workflow wherein asset[say single/multiple .jpeg image] in one of the folder in DAM has to be moved to another folder[source and destination folders for now are say some dedicated folders], to get started with.I have created a service [.java file with the basic framework of implementing interface,execute() method] and in the workflow console[ for a new workflow in the process step], I am able to tag my workflow to the service I have created.However, I am struggling to write the logic here.If someone could guide me here, to get started with . Hi All,Is it possible to replicate a site to one publish server but not to another?For e.g Geometrix1 publishes to pubserver1 adn Geometrix2 to pubserver2.Thanks in advance.

I´ve realized that if you break inheritance of a Live copy component/whole page and then rename that same page, inheritance originally broken is automatically restore.This cause that contents gets overwritten as soon as the corresponding blueprint page is rolled out.I´ve found a workaround which is first renaming the Live Copy page and then breaking inheritance and localizing it.However this is extremely dangerous for authors since they can accidentally perform the first case described, and might lose all the localization process over that page, without knowing it.Do you know if this is a bug in CQ5.5 (service pack 3)? Is there a hot fix for this or any way to prevent this behavior?Thanks!Patricia

Hi there,We've extend the Page Properties [dialog] for the pages on our site, adding a couple custom tabs.  However, now we can't open the Page Properties when we right-click on a page and then click on Properties.  We see the Properties menu option and it's active, but clicking on it does nothing.  The only way we can get to the Page Properties is via the Sidekick.Has anything encountered this issue and/or know how to fix?Thanks in advance,RKB.

Hi I am trying to restrict a type of an image while uploading in a dialog.  Hi, all.For the requirement I am currently working on we do need to have vanity URLs that include extensions, so we can maintain the same address from the current site when migration to AEM is complete (ex.: the vanity URL should be /foo/bar/foobar.aspx). But we could verify while testing that vanity URLs with extensions are not handled the way we expected, as the extension is meaningful to AEM to resolve how to render a given content.Do you have any recommendations to this case? Tried to find in the internet about the integration process but hardly found some good documents.
