We have a problem with a corrupt file in the tarJournal of our two-node author cluster (CQ5.4, CRX2.2.0.70), and I was hoping someone might have some advice on how to recover from this situation. Our nightly tar optimisation run gets stuck on the corrupted file, which is causing the tarJournal to grow and grow. I have made a dialog participant step. I want to make some fields in the dialog as mandatory. The property mandatory I guess works only for some xtypes such as textfield but it doesnt work for xtypes such as datefield etc. I have a requirement to make a datefield mandatory. Hi ,   I have a requirement in the image component where a user is given preference to choose to open  links in new window (similar to text component) . So all i need is to add   target = "_blank" to CQ5 image anchor tag on user opts for new window . The OOTB image component uses Image class which actually outputs markup using  'image.draw ' .From adobe documentation for Image class i was not able to see any helper methods to add extra tag attributes to added to the hyperlink around the image.Any pointers on how i can achieve it ? Once way may be to update markup using jquery but I'm sure there will be much better way to do it

Hi,We have a scenario, where we have to provide author the ability to upload multiple files using dialog. Initially we were using xtype:html5smartfile , when only single file upload was required. But now as the requirement is there to add multiple files , can you please suggest any good approach for this. I tried the option of adding html5smartfile in multifield, where i gave fieldConfig xtype as html5smartfile under multifield node, but to my disappointment it does not render itself in multifield and appears as blank.File can be uploaded via drag drop or local system browse dialog, which is very cleanly handled by html5smartfile, but it is not working with multifield. If I provide any other xtype in fieldConfig (like 'richtext' etc) they appear fine and work. Please let me know if it is designed in such way that we can not use html5smartfile in multifield.I am attaching the screenshot.Also if so, Please let me know any other good approach that can be followed for this scenerio.[img]mu

Hi ,In our project we will use classic url of AEM to  create the web-pages( url http://localhost:4502/siteadmin#/content).  Only some times we are facing this issue while creating "New Pages".  Some times "New Page" option under "New " is Getting disabled. We are not sure the reason.Not only "New Page" all options under "New" are getting disabeld. This really troubling a lot. Why because after creating some pages if this issues arises we do not have way to create extra pages. Only workaround is delete already created pages and create the all pages again. Any Help/Suggestions in this really appreciated. We are using AEM  5.6.1 version.ThanksK Chaitanya

For an internal demo site I need to be able to house clientlibs under /apps/ on a per component basis. Replication is working, but it is not viewable to non-admin users who view it on publish. When a user is not admin, client libraries return 404s, and the page does not render appropriately. Housing client libraries under components is discussed as an option under the developer documentation, but it seems to be disabled on publish by default.I'd like to provide full access to apps on publish also for viewing in crxde-lite and content explorer also. Currently these are hidden from view if not logged in as admin.I'm aware of the security issues related to blocking apps in favor of etc for client libraries, but this is a special case and a client requirement, and for internal consumption only. Hi, I am creating live copies using an existing page.This page has larger number of child pages(immediate level) to it.Now i want to inherit the properties only to the child pages .Since I have many child pages I cannot set the rollout config for each of them. Is there any option such that I can restrict inheritance only to children? Even inheritance only for a particular type of template also helps,do we have any such option ? Regards,Krishna

Hi,I'm having trouble setting number values in my dialog.xml files. For example I want to specify the width of a dialog and textfield, but it does not actually work for me. If I have 2 components, A and B, and component A includes component B in the JSP like <cq:include path="pathB" resourceType="myApp/components/componentB" />, and I drag component A onto a page, I can edit component A, but if I want to edit component B, I need to refresh the page. Is there a work around for this? I'm using v5.4; is this behavior updated in newer versions?Thanks

I couldn't understand the need for a parbase component in CQ5. From what I read in CQ5 documentation, parbase is a component that can extend from other components. But all components can extend other components by specifying sling:resourceSuperType property. So what is the need for a parbase component? I am cq5 newbie. Thanks.

Hi,I have included google gson dependency in the pom.xml of my project as shown below:        <dependency><groupId>com.google.code.gson</groupId><artifactId>gson</artifactId><version>2.2.2</version></dependency>I am able to build the project without any issues but when I am hitting the URL, the page does not load. I can see that in the system/console the project bundle is not getting started.  Further, upon looking in the details of the bundle, it shows an error "com.google.gson,version=[2.2,3) -- Cannot be resolved"Any idea what could possible go wrong.Thanks,

Hey,so I was going to use the built-in list component for a footer navigation but I noticed that it automatically pulls the 'Title'. I guess I'm wondering if there's some way to specify that it should use the 'Navigation Title' instead? If that's not do-able with the current component, what would be a good approach to extend the existing component with this functionality? I heard that just copying the entire component is not considered best practice for the sake of updatability..Thanks,Paul

Hi there,We're using AEM 5.6.1 and have noticed that all payload urls in the Workflow Inbox take the user to a 404 page.  I've examined the URL and it seems that somewhere along the line, the "/" in the URL are be transformed into "%252F."  For example, the url http://localhost:4502/bin/wcmcommand?cmd=open&path=%2Fcontent%2Fmy-folder%2Fmy-page from the Notifications inbox (which works), looks like http://localhost:4502/bin/wcmcommand?cmd=open&path=%252Fcontent%252Fmy-folder%252Fmy-page in the Workflow Inboxand takes the user to a 404 page. Can someone advise where to fix?  This is happening on OOTB workflows i.e. not customizations or modifications.Thanks, RKB.

I am building a website that will be published by AEM. Customers will log into that website - it's a customer dashboard. I want to authenticate them using an existing SiteMinder service (that I don't have control over), get back success / failure, and then signify to my AEM-based website that the customer is "logged in". How do I approach this using AEM 5.6.1? Do customers have to exist as users in AEM / CRX (and can I create them on the fly)?
