Hi all,I am very new to Adobe Analytics and looking for a way to extract the "time of the day" majority of our clients open our apps.How can I go about doing this? What report or metric should I run? Thank youSandun 

Hi,I am looking at some of the overview metrics in our mobile marketing site. When I select data for the last week, it shows a Total Session Length of 24.63 minutes and number of Users is 3,757. With so many users one would expect a much higher Total Session Length. Unless users install the app, open it, never use it and close or put it in the back ground immediately. However....the Average Session Length is mentioned as 2.23 minutes. But if I multiply Average Session Length by number of Users (as each User is at least 1 session), the Total Session Length should be nearer to (2.23 * 3,757 😃 8,378 minutes (~139 hours), not 24.63 minutes.Is it possible the Users is misinterpreted ? Could these users have logged in last week, session has been closed (causing low Total Session Length), but Adobe still counts them as a User ?Thanks for any thoughts.RegardsRobert

When we use delimiters (pipes or colons) in the tracking code for acquisition links, the IOS SDK translates those into actual pipes or colons when it stores the tracking code in Analytics. But the Android SDK saves the url-encoded version of the delimiter. (source%7Cmedium%7Cetc instead of source|medium|etc)Is there any way for us to fix this?Or, is it possible to fix this in the SDK?We would like to use delimiters to keep tracking codes consistent with web tracking codes.

In the 4.x SDK, if the app launches from the background less than five minutes from the previous launch, it counts as a resume, but past five minutes (by default) it counts as a new launch. Was it the same way in 2.x? Was there a time distinction between resume and launch, or some analogue of the lifecycleTimeout field? Also: where can I find documentation about 2.x? I have some legacy code that had it (which is no longer in production) and am frequently asked about how things have changed. Questions like that are hard to answer if I don't know how it should have behaved when the code was using the 2.x version of the SDK. 

When using the Adobe SDK 4.5.5 we see that the acquisition: server and appid properties from the configuration ADBMobileConfig(Dev/Prod).json are composed to a http://server/appid url.On iOS 9 however the http request will only result in a faulty response as Apple is enforcing https (TLSv1.2) connections throughout the App.This would result in “stuff”, “uuid” and “dcs_region” to be not properly fetched. All other requests fired by the Adobe SDK properly connect to the specified https endpoind.Are we doing something wrong in configuring the initial request or is there an update scheduled?

Is your windows 8.1 universal SDK will support the windows 10 UAP application if not then when you are planning to release it in the market.please solve this query ASAP

I read this article https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/mobile/android/metrics.html but I couldn't get the difference between very similar metrics as e.g. First Launches, Daily engages users, Monthly engaged users etc and First time visitor, Daily unique visitor, monthly unique visitor... Are they not the same? If I compare them in the Key metrics report, the numbers are totally different: On one day I have 3 times more Daily unique visitors than Daily engaged users. Or I have almost double 1st Visits than 1st Launches... How is that possible? Shouldn't the numbers be exactly the same?(I'm referring to Adobe Analytics.)

For debugging the tracking code on websites I use tools like the Adobe Debugger or http fox or Observepoint and the like. Is there soemthing similar for debugging the tracking code on native apps? 

Hi,currently, the dynamic media video component is not working in AEM.We ran the profile tests and all of the outputs were "ok" by FFMPEG. But when draggin the component onto the page and linking the MP4 file (which plays correctly in the DAM) the video does not show, only the controls.Playback of a video in the "video" component (General section) is working correctly after setting the correct media types via the Edit mode ( has to be done separately after adding the component and assigning the video). These videos are playing as they should, but this configuration is not available in dynamic media video. Help would be appreciated. Regards Mario

Hi,I'm trying to produce a query that will return all pages under a path where a property is NOT present.Effectively I want the query builder query that will produce the following xpath: /jcr:root/content/site/my/path//element(*, cq:Page)[not(jcr:content/task/@finished)]For CQ 5.3 the 'exists' property doesn't seem to be present (according to the docs: http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/5-3/javadoc/com/day/cq/search/eval/JcrPropertyPredicateEvaluator.html), however it looks like I can use 'not', so I've tried the following two examples but neither work as I expect in query debugger:#1path=/content/site/my/pathtype=cq:Pageproperty=jcr:content/task/finishedproperty.operation=not#2path=/content/site/my/pathtype=cq:Pageproperty=jcr:content/task/finishedproperty.operation=notproperty.value=trueI've also seen pages that suggest these should work, and I can't seem to see any hotfixes that would cover fixing this (assuming it isn't actually working correctly).Can anyone offer a solution or point

Hi Team,I have Global navigation component which displays the links to pages which is working fine in author instance.I have activated all the pages and when i check in dispatcher, cq removes anchor tag for the pages. It just displays page title with font color white with no hyperlink.It happens only in stage. Works fine in all local servers.Please do needful,Thanks,Madhu

Please let me know as how can I get the dispatcher URL in the code and use the same in author and Publish instance. In the Author instance showing the port number in the view source is fine. But in Publish instance it must just display only the dispacther URL should not show the exact URL and port numb er I have a dispatcher url as:- http://www-qa.com/content/campaigns/website/en_US/page.html  In my code jsp I have added String hostname= "http://"+ slingRequest.getServerName()+":"+slingRequest.getServerPort(); so when I add the code for images in the src I am adding SRC as src="<%= hostname %>/etc/designs/dsm/img/bottom-border.gif"  as mentioned below  <img src="<%= hostname %>/etc/designs/dsm/img/bottom-border.gif" width="640" height="33" />   So this add the actual cq server instead we want just the Dispatcher URL how could I achieve it

Hello All,I am facing an issue with Workflow Participant step. What i am doing is:Version: AEM6.1Workflow: I am Using All OOB components in my model. No custom code. My workflow is using participant step like:[img]pstep1.JPG[/img]Issue: I am trying to use OOB email notification feature to send email to selected user/group (Email box is checked). Every time an editor start workflow and select a user, workflow send email to all users in group instead of sending email to selected user only.[img]pstep2.jpg[/img]Am i missing something or is it a defect in product ?Please help me to solve this issue. RegardsMohit

I have problem with ClientContext in publish. I have a bug on our site that seems to be related to how CQSE (the Servlet Engine running in Adobe AEM/CQ 5.6.1) outputs something in a JSP.The use case is just using a .json.jsp to output a JSON object/hash, with some HTML fragments in the JSON values.Here is an example of a JSP that gives me unexpected results:<%@include file="/libs/foundation/global.jsp"%><%response.setHeader("Content-Type", "text");%> {"key":"<img src=\"/a/b/c/d/e/f/g/h/i.j.40.40.png\">"}What I get when I hit the URL on my localhost is:{"key":"<img src="\">"}Of course, I tested it in Tomcat to be sure its not some JSP spec thing, and got:{"key":"<img src=\"/a/b/c/d/e/f/g/h/i.j.40.40.png\">"}What is happening?What can I do to help provide better information for debugging help? Hi,I'm moving content from a legacy CMS to AEM using JCR packages. My .content.xml, by way of example, looks like this:... </jcr:content><Android/><BlackBerry/><Chrome/><Doc Finder/><HTML5/><iOS/><Java/><Linux/><Mac/><Mobility Pack/><Offline Plug-in/><Online Plug-in/><Playbook/><Windows/><Windows 8/RT/><Windows CE/><Windows Phone 8/><Updater for Windows/></jcr:root>The order of the subfolder siblings (<Java/><Linux/><Mac/> etc.), when the packages are imported to AEM, seems randomly changed. I know that the order of the files in the JCR zip is different, as I write the files to a directory structure on disk before I zip them up.I guess my question is, how does AEM determine the order of the sibling nodes when a package is imported? I'm kinda tearing my hair out here, so would certainly appreciate any idea sharing! Cheers,Gordon
