I was looking for a way to publish content from the authoring server into a file system folder.  I'd like to "pre-render" the content when it is published as an xml or html file.  Once its on the file system, I could then push it to any web server or application server.  Then the web or app server could consume/render the content as needed.  Any suggestions on how I could do this?Thanks in advance!

Hi,Using etc/map configuration, we are hiding the .html at the end of the page url and are using short urls by hiding the /content/project. This works as expected and the page loads fine in publish environment. The link generated looks llikehttps://www.mytestsite.com/homepage/page1/page2/page3.selectorHowever, when seen through dispatcher, the html source of the page is displayed instead of web content on the page. The response type is text/plain and not text/html.  My guess is that as the dispatcher does not see the .html  and hence thinks of .selector as extension and returns html as plain text. Is that right?Also, is there a way to bypass this issue?Thanks in advance.Chaitanya Pai

Can we do some kind of compression in CQ to expedite page transfer to browser? I know we can do this for JS and CSS by minifying.

Hello,I have an email form for error page. There are name, email and comment field in page. The email works perfect and send values by email.I need to have 2 more fields which are hidden and report the broken link/unvalid url in our site and Ref URL the website which has link to this broken link.Could you please let me know what is the best approach to add these 2 hidden field. Hi,I am working on AEM integration with Adobe search and promote and i have just faced two scenario. Below are details on the scenarios.Scenario 1:AEM is integrated with Commerce Provider and price is coming from commerce provider only. When S&P indexed the site the price of X product is $10 but after few minutes i have updated the price to $5 from commerce provider but if i will search it with search and promote component on my site it is still showing old one that means $10 ideally it should be $5 so what is the solution for this issue?Do we have any Commerce APIs involved in Search and Promote?Scenario 2:As we are supporting personalized pricing that means logged in user will see different price as compared to anonymous user. So how will this scenario be handled through S&P as i am getting the same price for both logged-in and anonymous users. Also Is there any integration point between Commerce APIs and Adobe Marketing cloud? Thanks in advance !Regards,Pankaj

Hi,We want to create a deployer user with a minimal set of permissions to be used for deployment process -- uploading/installing bundles and packages to CQ5, creating users and groups, etc.In short, in the process, we use curl to send a request to /system/console/bundles to upload/install bundles to CQ5.However other than admin, and users that are members of the administrators group, we have not been able to have other users to login to /system/console.Is there a way we can achieve this -- especially because in CQ5's docs it is recommended to minimize the usage of the admin user and hence we want to use a non-admin user for our  deployment process?Thanks.

I have been having intermittent login problems with our web page app trying to update some CSS, so a developer gave me a later release.  The file is a GIT branch.  The problem is I need to create a package out of it so I can replace the package I have that is giving me trouble in Cq5.  I have installed the maven plugin in Eclipse.  I tried to open the unzipped file from git in Eclipse and it doesn't open the folder directory.  Is it possible for someone to tell me how to make a package out of the directory so I can replace the package that is giving me trouble.Best,Janis

Hi all,We use Content Sync for page exporting and faced with the problem that PageExporter fails when exported page requires session.Therefore i desided to override com.day.cq.contentsync.handler.util.RequestResponseFactory to provide fake request with session object.But simple declaration:@Component(immediate = true, metatype = true) @Service(RequestResponseFactory.class) public class RequestResponseFactoryImpl implements RequestResponseFactory { ... }of course, not have any effect.So how can i tell AEM to take my service instead of already installed com.day.cq.contentsync.impl.handler.util.RequestResponseFactoryImpl ?

Hi,If we have a CQ5 instance that has an old hot fix installed, and then Adobe releases a new hot fix that supersedes it, can we just install the new hot fix onto the instance, or do we have to uninstall the older hot fix first, and then install the new hot fix?Also, what would happen if we install the new hot fix, and then uninstall the old hot fix? Depending on the content of the hot fixes, could this potentially lead to a logically broken instance?Thanks in advance.

The experience on our site is if you add a product to your cart it takes you directly to the cart page.  The scAdd event fires on the cart page in the global events area.  The only s.products we are capturing on the cart page is the one that is added to cart (currently).  We are looking to change where all of the items on the cart page will populate the s.products and configure our scView event.  With our current experience where you go directly to cart after adding to cart,  the scAdd event would fire globally but also allocate a scAdd to existing items in cart (duplication of scAdd).  Is it possible to populate the scAdd event in the s.product string or can you only populate in the global events?  

I have a client that is running an out dated s code version with a channel manager plugin that is not supported. While the plugin does still capture the campaign id, it doesn't parse the contents of it into the correct evars.What I am wondering is if we add additional parameters to the query string as below, can we use processing rules to parse those values into an evar?As an example the query string might be:?cmpid=test&cmreferrer=Google&cmsource=Paid&cmmedium=PPC&cmcontent=BrandedWhat we'd like to happen is to have:cmpid=test stored as campaign first/lastcmreferrer stored in evar 48cmsource stored in evar 49cmmedium stored in evar 50cmcontent stored in evar 51.Is accomplishing this with only processing rules possible, or do we need to use java script to parse them?Thanks!

When buying something we have different channels for product type. These channels are identifiable through pageName. I wanna know how many ScAdds and Purchases were made for each product type. I was confused when looking at Pages report and applying purchase and ScAdd metrics and comparing this report to Key Metrics report with the same metrics but with Segment applied that based on visit is defined as: pageName contains product type Id. I get completely different figures. The one with the segment is way higher as the one from the Pages report. I have to add that when events ScAdd and Purchase are fired, the requests do NOT contain the product type information in page name. Are the metrics in Pages report on hit level?
