So what are they typical synch intervals you are seeing - or shall I say what should one expect? Is there a timing difference between updates and inserts? If the change originates in SFDC vs MKTO?

We are putting together our first webinar campaign using Marketo. I am going through a test run of the campaign, and am noticing that just receiving the initial email in our campaign (and not submitting the registration form) is marking the emails in our test list as "registrants" in GoToWebinar. However, in Marketo, they are not marked as registrants.Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?Andrea

I am having some trouble setting up the correct progression status for our webinar, when sending out our second email invitation. I have set it up correctly so that the status of all of the people who receive the first email invitation is changed to Webinar > Invited, and so that the status of all of the people who register for our webinar is changed to Webinar > Registered.  Now we want to send a second email invitation to those who didn't register the first time around. I have the following smart list and flow set up (which isn't working correctly): SMART LIST: 1. Not Filled Out Form:     Form Name is [FormName] 2. Hoping my Marketo friends can help me wit this one, as I've stumped myself.We have a smart campaign designed to sync leads to a campaign in SFDC only if they have filled out a specific form on a specific page with a specific answer to a standard question. (Specific, yes? ;-) The challenge is that we are getting about 20% of people who have never filled out the form (their activity field shows that they haven't) and yet are getting synched anyway.The question "in question" is "I have a project" = true/false (this is a custom field we built that is used by multiple Marketo users on various forms). Hi,I'm having trouble getting a simple importToList call to work. I created a list called "TestList" in the Lead Database under "My Lists" (as described in the Managing Static Lists article), and used the exact same name in the importToList call.  However the response I get is always "List with name 'TestList' not found. (20114)". Is there some magic I need to do in addition to creating the list?  Or maybe did I create it in the wrong place?  Or use the wrong name?  Any ideas?.  Topher

Hi - I'm very new to Marketo. I have a form that contains an open text feedback block in it. I'd like to forward whatever content is input in this section of the form to a couple of email addresses (and not autopopulate CRM until the lead becomes an opportunity). How do I do this?I've already embedded the form in a non-marketo landing page. I've created a landing page for the form submitter thanking them for submitting the form and I've created the campaign that sends an alert to to the email addresses once the form is submitted. I'm just missing the part on handling the feedback???Thank you,Deirdre

Marketo used a form for their Demand Gen Success Kit landing page that has a disambiguation step for the company. I put in the friendly name of my company and before completing the submission I chose the best of three entries that already existed in their system. Is this something I can get through Marketo today or am I jealous of the dog food they are eating that isn't ready for public consumption? I want. Hi all,I look after the majority of the email campaigns we send out as a company, putting them together etc. At the moment, we are paying a freelancer to design any new email templates for us in the design studio as I don't know HTML code and how to put these together.Over the last couple of months, I've managed to teach myself a few small things (how to change the year in a footer, adding in extra columns - copy and paste is a wonderful thing!), but it would be a great help to us all here if I knew some more and just generally understand what all the random codes and symbols mean!Can anyone recommend any good sources (online or in the Marketo community) to help me learn some more? I just pushed my first e-mail in Marketo. I set it to run once and received a may take several minutes to send message. It's been 20+ minutes. The send e-mail campaign light bulb is still greyed out, and I haven't received the email (I'm on the list of recipients). I'm wondering how long I should wait before being concerned that it didn't send for some reason? Is there a way to check if its sent?

Hi guys, I'm trying to do some Lead Source data clean up on leads and when I create a Smart Campaign with a Change Data Value flow step, I get all the leads that I need qualifiying for the smart list. But after I run the campaign, the Results tab are mysteriously empty and none of the data is actually changing. What could be the problem?? Thanks!

We are new to Marketo so forgive me if I am overlooking something simple. We have a couple of landing pages that contain forms to request a trial of our software. Potential customers will use bogus information and/or different email addresses to request multiple trials. We want to prevent this and allow just one trial per person.Is there a way we can prevent this by referencing the IP address of the user or some other method? 

My company does not use the Contact object in SFDC as a lead, so we're running into problems when someone who's already a Contact fills out a web form and gets synced from Marketo to SFDC - there's no place for their comments in a Contact, and I'm not allowed to change ownership of Contacts, and the owners so far just get confused if they get an alert email about one of their contacts.I've thought of a few possible options for dealing with this, but convincing anyone else to change how they do things is a non-started, so I need options that I can enact as our Marketo admin.If I changed the Marketo credentials so that it no longer has permissions to edit Contacts, would it start creating new lead records instead of syncing to the Contact? (this would work well for us, since duplicates are part of our process.)What about if I changed the credentials so it can't see Contacts at all?Thanks,Anthea

Hi there, I am trying to get a list of leadlists that are in my Marketo instance. I tried using ParamsDescribeMObject with the objectName set to "LeadList" (I also tried "LeadRecordList")             Marketo_WS_2_0.ParamsDescribeMObject dmob = new Marketo_WS_2_0.ParamsDescribeMObject();             dmob.objectName = name;             Marketo_WS_2_0.SuccessDescribeMObject resp = client.describeMObject(ws_header, dmob); however, when I do this, I get an error message saying "Bad object name".  Any ideas on how to do this?  Please help. 

I have a number of landing pages with forms that redirect to a thank you landing page. I'd like to do some a/b testing on the thank you page. I've created the test group, but when I go into the registration page, I don't see any way to change the form to redirect to the approved test group. I see options for each of the individual approved pages, but selecting either of those options just redirects you to the home page. I saw someone asking in the community about doing this and people said it was possible, so I must be missing something obvious.

How can you remove white space from a landing page?

I see two new things under List Actions in the Lead Database: Black Cat Diagnostics and Support Tools - Run Stats. Curious, I tried clicking on them both and just get errors. I can't seem to find any info in the Community, either. What are these?

Is there a way to find out which link someone is clicking if the same link is posted in an email twice.  Do the links have to have different names even if they link to the same thing?  Just wondering because its something we would like to test and most often we include the same link twice in an email and would like to know which one is getting more clicks.thanks!

Our sales team is adding lots of leads through SFDC and I'd like to create a smart list that shows only leads created through marketo. What filter should I apply to make this happen?

I am setting up my first webinar. The webinar is with GoToMeeting. I am currently testing out my settings. For the people who register + attend the webinar, we will send them a followup email. If they register and do not attend, we are not sending them a followup email. Currently I have the following settings in place:Smart List:  Member of Program:  true / Program is: [nameofprogram] / Progression Status: Webinar > RegisteredFlow:   Change Status in Progression: Program: [nameofprogram] / New Status: Webinar > Attended   Wait: 2 minutes   Send Email: Email: [nameofemail]The issue here is that these settings are sending a followup email to ALL registrants, regardless if they attended or not. You'll notice that I've not included anything in my smart campaign about "No Shows," because I haven't the slightest clue how to represent these in this smart campaign.Can someone please help?Thanks in advance, Andrea

The color of our submit button text is black when I am editing the form. However, when I put the form on a landing page, the color of the button text is white. Does anyone know why this is happening? And how can I change it?Thanks, Andrea

When running an event program our smart list seems to take awhile to reflect the actual progression status numbers in the program summary. Is there any reasoning for this? Is there a way to speed up the processing time of a smart list?
