I am new to AEP and a little unsure about when to use the AEP Edge Network API versus the Flow Service API, as both are server-side APIs. Can I use the Edge Network API for all my data ingestion needs? When should I choose one over the other?

I am trying to use the first name token in my emails but have a custom script that eliminates the greeting when the first name of the record is not known. how would that custom script be written?

If I try to fetch an image or JSON file from the DAM on our author instance I get an error loading the image or a blank JSON file https://author-{aemEnv}.adobeaemcloud.com/content/dam/{folder}/image.pnghttps://author-{aemEnv}.adobeaemcloud.com/content/dam/{folder}/data.json However if I do the same thing from our publish instance I can retrieve the contents no problem https://publish-{aemEnv}.adobeaemcloud.com/content/dam/{folder}/image.pnghttps://publish-{aemEnv}.adobeaemcloud.com/content/dam/{folder}/data.json What is the proper way to fetch assets out of the DAM? ideally the same for both to simplify the code...Or is it possible to allow the authoring instance to serve files from a specific DAM folder similar to publish?  

I'm picking up work on a Fusion scenario that was started last year by a colleague in conjunction with a WF consultant (it was the last of our consulting hours, and work on it had not continued).  The scenario involves an integration between WF and Airtable, and I see that a unique identifier from Airtable was going to be entered into the WF External Reference ID project field.I see that the External Reference ID field is editable--I can edit the value from a project report--but I don't see the field in the project UI anywhere.  I don't see it in the project Overview or in the project Edit menu.  Am I missing its location, or is the field (and its values) only discoverable through reports or Fusion?Thanks.

When trying to do a (seemingly) simple user edit - change in referenced email address, we are finding we have no access to change that field in the user setup. We have ability to specify email address when adding a new user, but not able to actually change it when setup. was reviewing another string from 2020 where it seemed users could change their own linked email.  did the pendulum swing back to the other extreme? I suspect we are missing something, so thought i would ask the experience league. How can i change the email reference for an existing user?(our work-around is to deactivate user, then create a new user with changed email)thanks!

Hi there, I've observed that when using a split condition, 1308 records were initially sent into the split. After configuring multiple conditions within the split, including checking the "generate complement" option, I now receive 1303 records. Upon manual inspection, I tested the missing 5 records bymanuallyu sending them through query & split activity: 4 are found in the complement and 1 was filtered out by a condition. I'm curious why these 5 records are missing, as when I manually send them through a query & split activities, I see the data coming through, which isn't the case for many other records. Thank you in advance...

We are just starting to use this wonderful feature to help users understand cause and effect of some releases. We have defined seven annotation groups (with tags). One tag is 'Sprint Release'. These happen generally every two weeks. Then I create a line graph with annotations turned on, it shows annotations for all seven groups. Useful, but for this use case, we'd like the user be able to only turn on 'Sprint Release' so they can just see cause and effect of releases. I don't see any way to pick just one. Any thoughts? Hi, I am working with Transactional API Triggered campaigns. I am particularly interested in this case: Let's say that:1. The API is triggered for an individual whose ECID is not stored in AEP and the ECID namespace is what's being used in the payload to recognize the individuals for whom the API is triggered to connect them to AEP2. We have the Create New Profile Field set to No for the campaign  This individual will be dropped from receiving the campaign communication as they are non-existent in AEP. How do I track the number of such individuals who were dropped. This information is not being tracked on the journey report and it is also not being tracked in any AJO dataset as far as I can tell. Any other places to check? Thank you.

Hi, you can see the error rate better with the new view of journeys. This e-mail has 120 errors, with all the same reason: message execution error. I can not find out what it means when I check the documentation. Does someone know? Also a request to Adobe to just have a list with all error messages with explanation because I very often wonder what error messages mean in Adobe.

Hello,  I am currently implementing onetrust and we are going with an opt-out model where the cookies are placed in the users browser by default and the user needs to opt-out of them. When I reject all cookies I see all my calls being blocked which is working as expected but I still see the cookies in my browser. No data is being sent to the cookies but the cookies are still there. Is this an issue? I have looked at other organizations' do the same. They block calls and cookies are still in the browser. Is this normal for an opt-out approach? I'm also aware that some third party cookies and secure first party cookies cannot be deleted via javascript. Is there a way around this and to delete cookies based on users consent?

Hi all, When I go to see inside the tool to see how many users are subscribed to a service I find a quantity of 12,000,000 but if I execute a query with  the service following the next structure Subscriptions exists  such as ID is equal to "NAME OF SERVICE" I get 11,986,093. What could be the reason of the lost of several users when executing the query? Thanks for your help. Kind regards, 

[Update]: Is it possible to have the values under /apps/...../text/..../rteplugins/styles/styles to come dynamically instead of static values?We have a requirement to have RTE styles plugin with dynamic drop-down values. We have the list of values but somehow unable to bind those values in styles plugin. RTE continues to work fine with predefined values under 'styles' node.Is there a way to do this without making any complex changes in ootb code? We need to do something similar to what we can already do with Style System but in RTE plugin (project ask). @aanchal-sikka , @arunpatidar , @raja_reddy thanks.
