We have observed that many errors in Marketo nurtures are because of the race conditions. In most of the cases the marketo instance users creates different smart campaigns with the same audience. In such scenarios, you cannot control the sequence of the steps and lead can qualify for any of those campaigns which results in sending wrong email, overwriting the values and many other. Here are the few steps to avoid this: Follow daisy chains (use of requested campaigns) to create a sequence of campaigns. Test the daisy with a series of scenarios Document the results What are your thoughts? What would you prefer?   Please feel free to add more value to it.

Hey everyone,I am building out a new sales territory, which is assigned in a totally unique way in comparison to how the rest of our territories are assigned. The way this new territory needs to be set up is that there are 7 states which are going to be shared by 4 different sales teams. Hello everyone,   When I submit a REST POST request to update an email content section endpoint which has the external url property, the request fails with this error: Marketo API error (701): "invalid url". It only gives me that error on certain websites, most of the website works. Not working: (via.placeholder.com/1280x640.jpg).  I tried several different websites and most of them work, but some fail with that 701 error. /rest/asset/v1/email/{id}/content/{htmlId}.json Is there some kind of validation in the url property that is not documented or that I am not aware of?   Thanks,

Hello again!   I'm seeing a log on a page we are tracking where it says that the marketo tracking cookie will soon be rejected because the 'SameSite' attribute is set to none or an invalid value.   The complete log   'Cookie “_mkto_trk” will be soon rejected because it has the “SameSite” attribute set to “None” or an invalid value, without the secure attribute set to "None". To know more about the “SameSite“ attribute, read https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Set-Cookie/SameSite' - Firefox Developer Edition / Console Log   In the MDN Web docs article (mentioned above) it says that:   "Cookies with SameSite=None must now also specify the Secure attribute (they require a secure context/HTTPS)."   If I understand it correctly (please correct me if I'm wrong), you need to make sure that the page is on a secure protocol so that you can set the SameSite and Secure attribute of the cookie, in order to fix the log.   But in the setup we are al

Hi,I have the Marketo munchkin cookie, as well as Marketo form embeds, installed on my website. I have been noticing this console warning for a while in Chrome regarding its new cookie policy regarding only delivering secure cookies on any website that uses a Marketo form/mkto_trk cookie:A cookie associated with a cross-site resource at https://app-sjf.marketo.com/ was set without the `SameSite` attribute. A future release of Chrome will only deliver cookies with cross-site requests if they are set with `SameSite=None` and `Secure`. You can review cookies in developer tools under Application>Storage>Cookies and see more details at https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5088147346030592 and https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5633521622188032.Since this warning is only applicable to third party cookies, are there any fixes for this planned on the Marketo side?Thank you.cc: @Sanford Whiteman‌

Open Email, Click Email, Visit Webpage, etc. - is there any official documentation for these and other activity types? One of the answers somewhat makes it clear https://nation.marketo.com/t5/Product-Discussions/Difference-between-Open-Email-Click-Link-and-Click-Email/m-p/34866#M7301 . I understand that tracking IDs are used to register those activities but I was just wondering if Marketo has listed out all the activity types and provided definitions for them somewhere?   Another related question: I am trying to get a view on how active people (within our database) are but it seems like different activity types sometimes register the same activity (making one activity seem like two or more). Eg: Visited webpage and Click link activity types can register the same link as an activity, but in reality that was a single action. In general, I am wondering if there are any suggestions on how to go about cleaning the activity data to ready it for analysis? I understand that this

I am getting data, but I am unclear as to the sourcing.   I am not using specific links, only key words...where/what is this grabbing or scanning from??

Hi everyone,   I am trying to figure out the best way to create an easy registration process for a multi-webinar summit. I have an email program that is an event webinar and it's connected to zoom.   We'd like to have a registration page that allows users to choose which of 6 sessions they'd like to sign up for, and then have them receive email invites based on which ones they chose. For this process, we were thinking of using a form with a trigger based smart campaign to send out invites with calendar ICS files as users select sessions.   Our issue is that we do not want our users to receive individual emails with calendar ICS files for each single session (there's 6 they can choose from and they can select multiple). Ideally, our users would receive one single email when they register that contains (not sure if this would have to be a zip file) an ICS calendar file for all the sessions they registered for. Hello Community,   A colleague and I were recently discussing emerging email innovations, and he mentioned the use of "email microsites". An article I read describes this as rather than introducing a static message, the email is more dynamic, allowing consumers to watch videos, view image carousels, browse product assortments and make product purchases without leaving the inbox. An example of this is the image from an email below. It's interactive and serves as basically an image carousel.  I'm curious if anyone has created this type of email using Marketo's Design Studio, and, if so, what was your approach? Hi, I wanted to create a task in Microsoft dynamics for all bouncing emails. I followed the Marketo documentation but not sure what to put down in the "Owner" field. Can I use a token? Shall I put down the Email Address of the owner or would the name work? Under select it says: -- Assign to Sales Owner --      Also, a test was conducted with an invalid email address. Though, in the Marketo Email Dashboard this email was marked as soft bounce. But actually, a invalid email address is a hard bounce. Any ideas why?

Hello,Last week I went to make updates to an email.  When I opened the email I noticed my new content/text I had saved had reverted back to the original email I cloned.  I signed onto Marketo from a different computer so I am not sure if that could have caused it to revert?  Does anyone have insight on why this could have happened?Thanks,

Hello,   Currently we have a 1-1 ratio of landing pages with a form fill to confirmation pages. I feel that it is more advantageous to have a single page that then dynamically displays the name of the asset and the download button for that asset.   1. What sort of reporting issues will this cause? Currently I can look at each individual confirmation page and make the assumption that the number of unique times this page was viewed is fairly equal to the number of form fills. What can I use in GA to see this data by asset?   2. Any other minuses with this plan?   3. Implementation question...what do I need to be sure I pass to Marketo in this?   Thank you so much for your help with this.

Has anyone used a Marketo calendar token as a GoTo webinar registration? Off the top of my head, the only way I see this working is by tracking who downloads the calendar ics and manually entering their info into GoTo.   Thanks, --Tracy

We have multiple unsubscribe pages. Hi,   Context: we are running a program with 2 trigger campaign. first trigger checks user's eligibility and if satisfied, an email is sent to that client. now, I want to filter the users who received this email (sent, delivered, opened, clicked e.t.c) with the trigger campaign's campaign_id say 'x' . but for some reason, I'm getting the wrong result set.however, I've noticed that the correct list of users who received this email have a different campaign_run_id say 'p'.    1. can you please explain the relationship between campaign_id and campaign_run_id and how can i use these to filter the correct set of results?? 2. this email also has a link, when pressed on it takes the user to a webpage. i would also like to use activities_visit_webpage to extract the users that visited this webpage. how can i achieve that?Thanks in Advance.
