In AEM 6.3, using Asset "Share Link" functionality, renditions are shared by default and then user could select "Allow download of original file" to include original asset in shared link? So, the default behavior is that renditions are always included and original asset is optional to be included. We have a requirement to make renditions share as optional by enabling a checkbox "Allow download of renditions". If this checkbox is selected, then only renditions are shared. If "Allow download of original file" is selected, then only original asset is shared and if both checkboxes are selected, then both original asset and renditions needs to be shared. Figured out a way to update the dialog by overlaying "/libs/dam/gui/content/assets/adhocassetsharedialog". Need help on how to extend backend services to achieve this? From log messages, I could see POST request is going "com.day.cq.dam.core.impl.assetlinkshare.AdhocAssetShareServlet", but not sure how to extend this functionality of making

Ever wanted to copy a bunch of fields from a “lead template” to new leads on creation? Or “broadcast” field values from a primary lead to a group of related leads, say all from the same company? (Just say yes, it’ll make me feel better about developing this method.☺) It’s all possible with a Data Transfer Page (DTP). A DTP forms the backbone of my popular SimpleDTO library — the JS solution for cross-origin form pre-fill. In that case, the DTP is fetched by the browser. You can also read a DTP entirely from the server side using a webhook to transfer values across leads! A key difference is that with SimpleDTO, the DTP is an HTML document with an “island” of valid XML inside it; that island then gets parsed as an XML doc and then the values are used to pre-fill. In contrast, when used as a lead template, the DTP as a whole is parsed as an XML doc, which webhooks can parse for Response Mappings.✱ Make a DTP that’s valid XML We
We are on AEM 6.5.5 and after updating to SP 16, the form submissions are failing with HTTP 400 Malformed request error. After some troubleshooting, I notice that the error happens only when submission action includes sending an email. We are not using the Forms add-on package as of now. Could you please advise if this is a known issue of SP 16 and if there is a fix or workaround for this.
If you are an Adobe Summit newbie like I am this year, planning for the Summit can be exciting BUT daunting. I asked my fellow Champions who had been to the Summit what tips they have for first-time attendees, and they delivered! Here are some things they wished they knew before attending their first Adobe Summit. What to Add to Your Summit ScheduleIf you are still trying to figure out what sessions to add, @mandygeorge suggests prioritizing labs first. “Most sessions will be online after, (but) the labs won’t be.”Some of this year’s Champions will be presenting at the Summit. @katie_klein will be presenting on the CX Revolution on Tuesday at 2:30 PM. Thursday is loaded with Adobe Analytics Champion content. @frederikwerner kicks it off with a session to take your Adobe Analytics practice to another level at 9:30 AM. In today's digital marketing landscape, efficiency is key. Marketers often find themselves juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, from lead generation to program creation and execution. One common challenge is the seamless integration of leads obtained from various sources into marketing automation platforms like Marketo. Manual data entry can be time-consuming and error-prone, leading to inefficiencies and missed opportunities. In this blog post, we'll explore an automated solution that streamlines the process of importing leads from a text file into Marketo, cloning a Program template, and adding the imported leads to it. By leveraging automation, marketers can save time, reduce errors, and focus on more strategic initiatives. Data Transfer Hub, by Adobe's Professional Services group, leverages automation to seamlessly import leads from a CSV file into Marketo and create a new marketing program using a predefined template. Here's how it works: Step 1: Receive th

A common question that we come across at Adobe Marketo Engage Professional Services Consulting are around the feasibility of using distribution lists for email sends. The use cases we often have seen are for companies that use Marketo for internal communications and want to use an email alias such as team-x@my-company.com. In order to create this alias, you would request your IT team to create the distribution list with all the internal seed list addresses and then send an email to everyone on the list to just one ID set by the team, e.g. marketingseedlist@<your.company.domain>.com. You would then need to create a single person record in the database using this distribution list email address. However, while this is possible to do in Marketo, there are some careful considerations to take into account: The first is that Marketo sees the list as only one recipient – meaning that individual metrics (clicks, open rates, etc.) are not tracked individually

Hello team, hope you are fine.I would like to know if you can assist me on understanding what could be the issue I introduced. Here is the timeline of factsI added 5 fields in the UI on the metadata screen of the fields. One of the fields I added was a multivalue fieldsI fixed (I think) as it was wrongly configured (I am sharing the code before I fixed the multivalue field in order to see if that is related to my code)I merged the changes in dev and that caused the attached outcome (fields in the metadata schema validator in only one column and when editing metadata for a random asset, it becomes grey Here are two fields I added as example:<_x0031_678945703793 jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured" sling:resourceType="dam/gui/components/admin/schemafield" fieldLabel="Alt text (from GDrive)" name="./jcr:content/metadata/indd:altText" resourceType="granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/multifield"> <granite:data jcr:pri

How to override OOB logger configuration like error.log, access.log and upgrade.log Let say AEM creates OOB Log files like request.log, history.log and upgrade.log files etc. as part of AEM installation. We have different environements and so many inatnces. We want to maintain the same log level (reset to info in every deployment) in all environment for all the files In case of maually someone changed the log level to debug / ERROR level or log file location (to write cloudwatch in aws need to override default log file location). I'm trying to add the logger configuration to override for OOB log files but it isn't overriding instead creating a new entry in the logger configuration. Any leads.? Thanks.

Hi. Recently, in order to accomplish a requeriment we have, we need in one of our sites that users can upload a PDF (in publish environment, of course). We are migrating from Managed services to Cloud and in our Managed Installation, when the user upload the file, we replicated it in the other publish. Now in the Cloud model this is not possible, so, talking with Support, they said we could use the File Storage available in App Builder, so the PDF would save in File Storage, from there we put it in Author and after we replicate to Publish environment. I have been reading the documentation about this and following the examples from this page. The problem is I have no idea how can apply this in a site on AEM. Has anybody done anything similar or have any clue that could help me. Thanks in advance

Hello Guys, A basic question, I created a Table in my page, and I want to HIDE a ROW by default in JAVASCRIPT cause I will add afterwards conditions. The problem is: my row is never HIDDEN but only INVISIBLE. Consequently, the others rows below never take place of the HIDDEN row. I don't see anything wrong in my code. Could you please have a look on it: The row is always here, invisible but NOT hidden: Best regards,RR.
Hello Everyone,I recently completed the conversion of our AEM remote Single Page Application (SPA) from JavaScript to TypeScript. However, following the transition, we encountered a couple of issues relating to the responsive grid functionality and component visibility within AEM.Specifically, when utilizing the <ResponsiveGrid> component in Home.tsx, we encountered an error regarding the pagePath: "Type '{ pagePath: string; itemPath: string; }' is not assignable to type 'IntrinsicAttributes & { title?: string | undefined}'". How can we go about resolving this type assignment issue?Additionally, although the option to "Drag the Component" remains visible, components added from the AEM side were not appearing on the page. We also received the error message "Component not mapped for resourcetype: ios/components/title", despite having included the necessary import statements for the component.Interestingly, directly adding the same component (Title) to the home page, as shown in
