I am a fairly green Java developer. I have 18 years of overall development experience but only about 1.5 years of Java, and only about that in CQ5. I have taken both the developer and advanced developer courses from Adobe.I like the idea of a using custom tag library in my CQ projects because I can see how they would improve testability, and code re-use, among other things. However, being fairly new to both Java and CQ5 I don't have a good grasp on exactly what types components would be ideal candidates for a custom tag library, and what an "ideal" overall architecture would be.So in my cq workspace I have 4 projects:"commons" bundle - shared utility classes, mostly static ones. Hi!I want to send an email 7 days after a user subscribes to a service. I'm using Adobe Campaign Standard. In my workflow I have an incremental query targeting all service "X" subscribers but how do I define the "7 days ago" part? I would also like to include that it wouldn't get any older subscriptions than max. 10 days ago. So it would be something like "subscribed before 7 days ago" and "after 10 days ago." Should I use Subscription history and Date for targeting? Or do I need to create this in Advanced mode? Thanks in advance,Br,Sonja Luoto

I have 2 scenarios that require that users be granted read access explicitly before they can access content in AEM.  We're expecting to run a large number of sites in our authoring environment and authors should by default only see what they've been granted access to so that they're not overwhelmed by content that's not relevant to their experience.  Secondly, we're allowing vendors to access assets and content, and for security reasons they shouldn't by default see all content that's in the authoring environment.Currently, the 2 options that appear to be available are to use either the content-authors group or a customization of the mp-* groups.  However, both are based on the contributor group which by default grants read access to jcr_root, then denies specific things.Is there a group structure that is not based on contributor that supports this concept?  If I deny access to content then allow access to only a specific folder in content, /sites.html/content breaks.  I tried some per

Hi,New to Adobe campaign workflows and would appreciate any help with this question.I'm trying to set up an A/B test workflow of 2 emails (simple 50/50 split send - not a delayed send of the "winning" email). When I start the workflow with a query to build my target audience, I am unable to exclude a segment of my target the way I normally would if I set up simple delivery. In a simple delivery, when I build my target, there is an exclusion checkbox at the bottom which gives me an audience setup similar to the following:'Folder 'Main List' and US TARGET' - 'Folder 'Main List' and GENDER MALE' In other words, send the email to the US segment within the main list, MINUS anyone in the main list whose gender is Male. However, in a workflow scenario, there is no checkbox in the query building window, therefore I cannot MINUS any list/segment from the target audience in the initial query. We are using the multifield control in our dialogs, and it is generally working well for us. (An example of what I am talking about is here.) But in some cases we've put enough fields in each element that they don't fit on the screen without scrolling. This is fine until you want to re-order the elements; Touch UI appears to only allow dragging (whereas classic had move-up-and-down buttons) which is not effective when the elements to be ordered don't fit in the viewport - you can't both drag and scroll.So I'm looking for some advice:Is there an out-of-the-box solution in AEM 6.3 I've overlooked? Any sample solutions out there in the WWW?Would it be easy to add up/down controls? Presumably there is already javascript to handle the dragging re-order. Could it be repurposed to respond to buttons?Is there an easy way to make the multifield elements smaller? (Collapsing them like an accordion element, for example.)Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,I've created a web application where I have a variable containing date and time.If I print the variable in an HTML element I see the date and time as required,but if I'm calling the variable from a date input field then I see a different time (see below)In the HTML element in the page the time is 17:00 but its 22:00 in the input field.both are using the same variable - 'varSendStart'Does anyone know how can it be fixes?Thanks,Sagi

I just upgraded AEM from version 6.2 to Version 6.3. I see a folder called archived-versions created under crx-quickstart. Is it safe to delete the contents inside that folder?

Looking at the list of HTL Global Objects in the documentation log is listed as a java-backed object backed by org.slf4j.Logger.My question is, how can I use it?I can't find any examples of it.Thinking about it, this is a specific case of a more general question; How can I call methods and pass parameters to Java-backed objects?I know it can be done when instantiating a Use-API object but that's not the pattern I'm after.If it can't be done then it is hard to understand why the log and out objects are made available.

I know Adobe allows you to pre-pend hard-coded text when outputting a request, but this doesn't meet my needs as pre-pended text in my case is conditional.If I were able to tell Report Builder - execute request 1 first, then execute request 2 after request 1 is completed and a small amount of time has elapsed

I seem to randomly get this error in the console and of course nothing fires. It seems to only happen on the first request into _satelitte and occurs on the getVar() function.I cannot duplicate so unfortunately can't trace or set break pointsAnyone else experience this or have an idea as to cause?ThnxJeff
