I try to perform the GET request to the Identity URL for the access token, but I get an UnknownHostException from Java. I followed the setup of the Custom Service to the letter. What could I have missed?

Is there a way to build a smart list based on Opportunity Name?  I don't see it as a constraint in Has Opportunity.

Hello Everyone!We are having issues with a comments field on our web forms.  Here is the scenario that explains our issue: Lead A fills out our form that has our Optional Comments field. He adds these example comments "Hello I need help"Now in the system he has "Hello I need help" for that field valueAn alert is sent to the appropriate sales rep with the appropriate comments. Lead A fills out our form again that has our Option Comments field a few weeks later He adds no comments.In the system he still has "Hello I need help" for the Comments field valueAn alert is sent to the appropriate sales rep with the old Comments and the rep thinks these are the comments filled in on this second form fill out. The issue is with the form fill outs beyond the first form fill out with comments filled in.  In part two above we would want the comments field to be overwritting with a blank value appropriately indicating that that Lead filled in no comments.Any help/th

Two questions actually :)1) Should I use Marketo landing pages or embed forms on my website? Upside of using Marketo landing pages - it's easy to clone and re-use! Downside - what would happen if we ever stopped using Marketo? We'd have to transfer everything back over to our site? Yikes!2) For form embeds, do you use iFrames or Javascript? My agency is asking which I prefer and I don't know what the difference is. 

I'm working on building a web page activity report in Marketo to provide my sales team with a list of anonymous companies visiting our website for prospecting (on a weekly basis). In the report, I've chosen to "show anonymous visitors from ISPs" as well as, under smart list, "is anonymous = True". I've also set up date of activity for "last 7 days". When I look at the results, I'm noticing most of these names are the telecom companies providing the internet as opposed to the actual companies. Do you have any experience creating a similar kind of report? Is there a way to easily filter out these telecom companies?  Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, -Bruno.

I received this message in the Activity Details for several people who soft bounced a recent email "554 5.4.5 [internal] Delivery not attempted (message expired)".Does anyone know what that means? Did I do something wrong? Does Marketo keep trying to send the email?This happened to a lot of people on this email, and I don't know how to explain this because I know I will get questions.Thanks!

Is it possible to automatically add "email sent" to Salesforce's activity log for each of the campaign members that received the email?

I want to add additional columns to the report, but when right clicking on the column header (as this article suggests), I only have the option of including one column, Total Leads, which is already shown as a column:Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?Thanks, James

Hi Guys.I have just set up a landing page with a form for a white paper download, however I wanted to know if it's possible to track where the lead is coming to the landing page from - i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn etc?For example -  I post a link to the LP on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and send an email.  How do I track how each lead is coming to the landing page?ThanksJuli

Hi,I have one engagement program in which when I set the stream cadence time, then marketo is shwoing me time preference as PST but when i am setting time for email availablity, its showing me as my local time setting IST.Everytime when I have to test it, i have to wait 12:00AM so both PST and IST have same dates otherwise marketo is not allowing me to choose the date as per PST calender.

HI Marketo Community,We are in process of doing a Saleforce.com/Marketo integration and I am not really finding much on initial set up on the SFDC side.We use record types for accounts, but have not set any up for Leads at this point.  My thought process is when a lead gets converted that it gets mapped to the correct account record type.  Wonder if I should be mirroring lead record types to account record types.I am wondering if this is something that should be done prior to integration or after?How have others handled using record types in this situation?Thanks in advance for any input.David

Hi,I have come across loads of cases in our database where I have leads with nearly the exact same email address. For example, karen@email.ru and karen@email.comAfter doing some investigating i have found out that in some cases these email addresses are for the same person and they are both active mailboxes but the user just happens to have two emails for the same company.My worry is that we could be sending emails to both of these mailboxes as they are seen as different lead accounts in Marketo. Has anybody else experienced this? Please share some advise on how you handle this in your database.Thanks :)

Hi Folks, So I have a question for the group. Thought I had this working correctly, but do not. So basically we have a simple onboarding drip campaign for Trial users...the sign up, come in as Trial and they are on there way. What I am trying to do which is not working is that if the users PD_Account_Type Value changes from Trial to Paid they are removed from the Drip Campaign for the free Trial. I am doing this in a seperate smart campaign that I though basically sniffed that out...along with looking for people that have come in Paid, Comp and so on. Issue is they are not getting pulled out of campaign..and I need them to since the are paid and we are asking them to pay/upgrade in later emails. I am sending an email with a text link to a 3rd party website (trade show site). However, the link does not work (error comes up) when you click through the email to it. I think it is due to the utm code automatically generated by Marketo at the end of the URL. For some reason the 3rd party site doesn't support the extra code. I did not add any extra utm parameters. Any ideas on how to set up the hyperlink to not add any extra code in the URL? 

I am creating a trigger campaign -I created a smart list with all the criteria I want so I can see a count.I created a campaign with a "Clicks link in email" trigger, and then some other criteria I want such as country.I activated the trigger, but my count is showing 0. I recently published one of my companies landing pages to Facebook to be used as an 'app' but the sizing is completley messed up is anyone have any issues with this, i thought it would have auto sized it to Facebook's dimensions but it is not. 

  i need to block about 15000 contacts that are in salesforce from synching to marketo (don't want to pay for them). so i was going to add them to a SFDCcampaign called "dont' synch' and then delete the records in marketo  only then  in mareketo write a smart campaign that says if memeber of SFDC campaign "don't synch" don't synch to marketo can this be done and will it work?

Is there a possibility to hide an embedded form at a certain date - because I want subscriptions to stop by then
