Marketo

Hi All,   Having a weird issue and not sure if its happening from Marketo or if SF is doing it. I tried to do a quick search on community but couldn't find anything about it.    Has anyone had any issues with Marketo adding multiple contact roles to opportunity for the same record?  Marketo shouldn't have access to do it on an opportunity level. The same thing is happening on the campaign object. the campaign itself shows correct and normal numbers however in a report its showing 4 million people when there is only 30k in a campaign. For the opp the duplicates(multiple roles reference the same) the same person in Marketo shows they have like  18 opportunities but its the same opp.    Let me know if anyone has seen this before.    Cheers, Pieter

Hello,   I am working on creating an Email Scripting token that captures the most recent version of a specific Asset Type in a CO. For example, asset type is Type 1, Type 2, Type 3. I need to grab the most recent Type 3; however,   When I do the basic "If" statement, it displays nothing because Type 3 is not at the top of the list   and    When I do a foreach statement I can just the Type 3, but it displays all of them when I only want the most recent one.   Any recommendations on how I can do this?

We have many embedded Marketo forms that capture leads across a few sites. Many of these forms are of high importance and we need to have them up at all times if possible.   A week or two ago there was an outage on Marketo's side that caused these forms to not load. I'd like to be able to detect when there are issues like this consistently to load a backup local form in those cases.   I can detect if the MktoForms2 object doesn't exist and respond to that. My concern are all the possible cases where MarketoForms2 is available but the form fails to load for any number of reasons. I looked through the documentation and I'm not seeing any convenient ways to catch form load errors.   Does MktoForms2 give any indication that a form was not able to be successfully loaded and embedded? Aside from setting a timer on page load and checking for the existence of the form I'm coming up blank. Thank you for the help!  

We have a webinar coming up where we have people from multiple time zones attending. I used the token ((lead.Person Time Zone)) in our emails to show the correct time the webinar for the person's time zone. However, it keeps defaulting to PDT. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?    We want the time of the webinar to display correctly in the email but to be in the lead's time zone. 

Hello all,   Maybe there's an obvious answer but I can't seem to find anything.   I've got a trigger campaign setup for a monthly email so if someone gets added to the program, they get the email, and then get removed from the program and flow.   When I go to look at results, I can either see person-oriented details OR the overall for the whole campaign as one group.   What I'm looking for is on a per group-upload basis.. For example if I uploaded 5,000 emails on September 20th for the month of September, is there an easy way to view the opens, clicks, etc for that specific timeframe?

Hello! I am trying to set up a champion/challenger test on two completely different emails that are part of the same trigger campaign. I've been referring to this page to figure it out. However, when I attempt to look for "New Test" under Email Actions, it doesn't appear for any of my emails. Is there a step that I am overlooking here?    I appreciate the help in advance, thank you!

Hello.   I would really appreciate the advise if someone can help answer my query.   I am wondering, once a customer clicks a link in an email and the munchkin code is activated... 1. How long will the code keep tracking this customer?  2. Is this dependant on the customers continual interaction with emails? 3. Will the code track subsequent sessions. i.e. if the customer ends their session, then comes back to the site the following day.    Thanks

All of a sudden the SP_Send_Alert_Info token in alerts is generating an invalid link. The LeadID in the invalid URL is correct. The SFDC link still works.What happened?

Hi all! I'm attempting to send out an automated follow-up email if the receiving user does not respond to the email. Could anyone share with me how they were able to exclude users that have responded to the initial email from receiving a follow-up? Is this something that's possible in Marketo?

Hi Bizible Community!   For the Lead Creation and First Touch touchpoints, in order to get attribution credit, do these touch points need to take place before the opportunity was created?  Is this the same for all models (W-Shaped, Full Path, First Touch, etc.)?  I know the documentation says that the only requirement for timing is that it needs to be before the Close Date.  Is this true for the W-shaped model too? Let's say the lead creation touchpoint or the first touch touch points happen after opportunity create date, would they still get the allocated percentage credit?  Are there any difference between how this works when reporting on Pipeline Revenue vs. Revenue?   And in general, are there any other timing nuances to understand beyond what's explicitly written in the documentation, especially when things happen in a different order than described in the documentation?   Just as an FYI in case this helps, we are using Account ID as our mapping

Has anyone taken the Marketo Certification Exam 552 recently and not passed and been able to find out which questions were missed? I studied on/off for 6 months, been using Marketo for 3-4 years, took numerous practice exams consistently scoring over 90% and yet did not pass the MCE exam. Many of the questions of the practice exam were even similar to the actual exam. I even thought I did well on the exam while taking it online via Examity. I would like to understand what I got wrong - is there a way?? No one from Adobe or Examity has been able to assist me so far in this quest. I cannot find anyone to discuss my results with. I am hesitant to retake it as I would answer many questions the same again. Is it even possible there was a technical issue with the scoring? Hi all,   We are in the process to integrate Marketo with Zoho crm. We have tried Zapier and Celigo's connector, however both of them has their own capabilities and limitations.      Have you used these two tools in combination? How was your experience with them?   Can you suggest the best practice for the same?   Any insight would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂  

I know that there is a 10 MB file limit in the bulk import API,  but is it 10,000,000 Bytes, or 10,495,760 Bytes?

I have a lead schema that is {uniqueId, email}, and customObject schema {uniqueId, email, otherThing1, etc}However, Even though the uniqueIds are never to be duplicated, email can be.  But when i upload leads like so: {uniqueId:1, email me@gmail.com},  then later{uniqueId:2, email me@gmail.com} marketo always overwrites the uniqueId and doesnt create a new Person. Tips?

Created a BATCHED campaign. I understand it will not lit up because it's a batch, and not trigger, but I have some triggered actions in the flows (like open/not open dependent).   Question: will it lit up after it runs and triggers something? I cloned this campaign and the original one (very similar) did lit up. Just can't remember at what point, though.   Note: it is scheduled to run; hasn't run yet.   Thank you!

Hi,   I have some data fields in my instance that are filled with json data. I am looking for a solution to be able to parse that data within marketo at night: e.g. within the json I have a date, which should be copied to a 'date field', which in turn would be used to do date comparisons.   Is there a wat to do that? Can I use Velocity for this? Any suggestions?

I'd like to try to gain some idea of everyone who has opened every single email but has never clicked on them to get an understanding of who might be an inactive person with an ESP that is auto opening the emails for them. Would this be the right smart list? Doesn't feel right...  

De-Duplication in MarketoBy default, Marketo will dedupe new records by email address. If there already is a record in Marketo with the same email address, that record will be updated with the new information. If no matching email is found, a new record is created. If you set up a custom dupe rule, Marketo will match on email as primary key, and another field as a secondary key. For example, if you add Last Name as a secondary dupe field, Joe Smith (smithenterprises@comcast.net) will create a new record, even though Catherine Doe with the same email address is already in the database. This is because both email address and last name need to match to update the existing record. So if Joseph Smith (smithenterprises@comcast.net) is entered, the first name will be changed from Joe to Joseph, because both email and last name match. Custom dupe rules apply to list uploads, form submissions and to most API calls. It does not apply to the native CRM sync, which matches on CRM ID instead of ema

Hi all,   I recently took ownership of a lead scoring program that was created under my predecessor.  As part of the program, she had built a Bad Behavior smart campaign, meant to reset the overall lead score "Score - BIG" to equal just the "Demographic Score".  Essentially, the campaign removed "Behavioral Score" from the "Behavioral Score" + "Demographic Score" = "Score - BIG" equation. It is meant to run when someone unsubscribes, is Marketing Suspended, Email Invalid, etc.   I've been seeing some strange behavior with this campaign, including this latest example. As you can see the campaign made this one lead score jump 40 points. The lead got +40 for unsubscribing, which obviously isn't supposed to happen:     I've tried to figure this out with 4 different colleagues and so far have come up empty, so figured I'd try my luck here. Has anyone gotten this error below when registering for a webinar? We have a webinar coming up and I did a test registration (which I have done successfully in the past). I tried my work email and two personal emails but I received the same error every time.    One of my co-workers tried to register and was successful.    Any ideas on why this error is occurring / how to fix this error?   

Trying to create a campaign that uses tokens to link reports on Marketo according to each client's Salesforce data. Is there any way to organize these tokens into “Subscribed” and “Unsubscribed” sections so that it applies specifically to each client’s data?    IE: Sally is subscribed to Package A and B, but not C, so her email should look like this:  Subscribed:  Package A: {{linked token}} Package B: {{linked token}} Unsubscribed:  Package C: {{linked token}} Jimmy is subscribed to Package A, but not B or C, so his should look like this:  Subscribed:  Package A: {{linked token}} Unsubscribed: Package B: {{linked token}} Package C: {{linked token}}   Is this sort of organization possible when sending from just one deployment? Appreciate any help!
