Getting started with the AEM Dispatcher by Markus Bulla Overview This short post aims to collect valuable resources as a starting point to learn more about the AEM Dispatcher, an important and integral part of every AEM setup. It is a module for different web servers, such as Microsoft IIS or Apache httpd – the latter being the one more commonly used. The Dispatcher can also be used for load balancing but in most deployments, that will be handled by a dedicated (Enterprise) Load Balancer and not a Dispatcher. I have a barcode on the master page that needs to move based on values in the data.  This works perfectly on a content page but the barcode doesn't move on the master page.  I have a couple of forms (developed by someone else) that have content pages that are filled with subforms. When I try to place the barcode on the content page it contends with the subforms and doesn't move at all.  Is there a way to make this work on the master page or get the barcode to "float" over the subforms on the content page?

Hello, I had two questions about the User Management interface in the Admin console. 1. Is there anyway to see the user's last login time? 2. Hi,We are trying to integrate Swagger with our AEM content as a service API. We did come across a bunch of static implementations with swagger like this Link and this Link, but I am trying to see if there is any integration between swagger and Sling servlet end points. We are using AEM 6.4.4 if this helps.Any input is highly appreciated.

I hope the collective experience on the community can help identify the root cause for something we are running in to. I have a customer who, for reasons that are not relevant here, has two production Marketo instances and for some of the webpages on their website forms need to be submitted to both instances. The chosen solution is to have the Marketo form from the first instance visible on the page and on success do an API submission to the second instance using the submit form endpoint: https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/lead-database/leads/#submit_form From the test AEM environment (without any webserver and / or cloud machinery in front of it) both submissions work as expected, but on the live domain the API request seemingly is not reaching AEM from the dispatcher.   Has anyone seen this issue before?

Hi, I want to implement an autocorrect so that when the user uploads an asset in DAM, if it contains characters, it will remove them when the user clicks on upload.For example if the user uploads a file called green+apple.jpg and click on upload, the asset will now be called greenapple.jpg.I have been researching and modifying the files:fileupload.jsutil.jsBut I can't do it, the only thing I could do is to modify the dialog that shows the warning if it contains characters but I don't want that, I want to change the name of the asset eliminating the characters when it is going to be uploaded.

Marketo’s ${variable} syntax conflicts with other languages using the same dollar-single-curly-quote syntax, like good ol’ JavaScript.   So if you try to use a JS template literal in the LP Editor... <script> let a = `Report ID ${report} for ${this.name}`; </script>   ... Marketo naturally thinks you’re referring to missing variables and throws an error:   Officially, there’s no alternate syntax in Marketo (and there’s definitely no way to change the delimiter in JS). But the workaround is easy. Create a global Text token {{my.d}} just containing the single character $:     (Why {{my.d}}? Just copying Velocity’s $esc.d, which also escapes the dollar sign. You could use another name if you want, but this should be easy to remember.)   Use that token to escape the $ sign: <script> let a = `Report ID {{my.d}}{report} for {{my.d}}{this.name}`; </script>   Marketo will render this as: <script> let a = `Report ID ${report}

Hi everybody,   I have a problem with some pdf forms, specially when these forms are connected to an online database. When I open the form, there is always a pop-up window with this message:   "There is a connection problem with the processing service. Some parts of the form may not work correctly. Please check your internet connection"   I've tried to change the Javascript configuration, but the problem persists. I have this problem only when I open the form with a Mac computer, not with Windows. Could any of you give me some help?   The form is made with LiveCycle Designer.   Thanks!

I have a requirement like for a checkbox or toggle bar on the AEM page When a checkbox or toggle bar is true should call one search script that is present in the page component of the template when it is false It should call another search script that is also present in the page component of the template.What should be the correct way to call these scripts? Thanks.   

Dropping new scripts and styles into a master LP template and mass-reapproving isn’t the safest route. JS might only be meant for certain forms… CSS might conflict with heavily customized pages (perhaps someone exploited the dreaded Custom Head HTML?)... trust me, stuff can go wrong.   Better to have a gentler rollout/rollback, with <script> and <link> tags toggled using a mktoBoolean.   We’ve seen people try to use HTML comments to do this, but since the open-comment <!-- and close-comment --> sequences differ, they’re impossible to control with a single variable. (There’s tricky markup that seems to work, but the resulting document is invalid HTML — unprofessional even if the browser lets it slide.)   Ideally, we’d have valid HTML, using standard attributes to make elements either enabled/active or disabled/inert. Example:My Cron Expression : 0 50,25,0 22 ? * * - This will execute everyday at 10.0pm, 10.25pm and 10.50pmwhy 3 times : 1st try is actual and 2 more are retries for fail safe (Exception scenarios)Consider a scenario in which all 3 time the scheduler failed and it triggered email to admin and admin make changed to configuration (cron expression) to re-run the scheduler. Now the admin dont want to run scheduler for 3 times so he changed the expression to [0 0 23 ? * *] which is 11pm.So normally the scheduler will run only one time at 11pm.My Requirement:Even though the admin schedule to run the scheduler once or twice or 5 times etc, irrespective of the cron expression, the scheduler must run 3 times. How to do this?
