I have a third party JS to be added to my site. I know such things are done through Extensions - but the JS I am trying to add is from a very custom small third party vendor. So I am not sure , if we will have an extension any time soon. Is using "Extensions" the only option I have ? Or Can i do something here in Launch to make sure that this JS script fires as required. Last option would be to embed the script directly on each page of the site. So , exploring a solution from Launch side. Thanks

I am migrating a property from DTM to Launch.  I have a couple of rules that trigger on Library Loaded that I need to fire early, so I set the Order value to 10 and 20.  All the others are the default of 50.The rule with an order of 10 always fires first, but one with an order of 20 always fires after several of the 50 rules.  This is causing some grief.Why is the order value not honored after the first one?Thanks!

I have a rule that sets variables for adobe analytics on my global page load rule on page top. then I set the s.t() beacon on windows loaded because I have Dun and Bradstreet firing data API collection in between. What would happen if I remove the s.clearvars after the s.t() beacon fires on windows loaded?  The reason I ask is because another extension (Qualitrics) needs access to the global variables here: s_c_il[1].eVar1 but since I clearvars they are undefined after windows loaded. Questions:Do I even need clearvars after I send a beacon for page load collection? wont the values get overwritten on the next page with the new values anyway? I dont have SPA pages so that is not a concern.Can I set clearvars at the beginning of the next page instead of clearing vars after the beacon? I just want to better understand the potential impacts before making changes.

I have set up the dispatcher with Publish Instance and publishing a page from Author to Publish is clearing clearing the cached page on dispatcher, but if I am activating any package from author to publish does not clear its filters from the dispatcher cache. i.e. I have a package with the filter "/etc/designs/PROJECT_NAME/site/example.js, and the same file is cached on at the dispatcher. If I am replicating a package from the Author, then in Dispatcher log, I am able to see[DATE_TIME] [I] [pid 8240 (tid 640)] Activation detected: action=Activate [/etc/packages/PROJECT_NAME/BUNDLE_NAME-1.0.76.zip][DATE_TIME] [I] [pid 8240 (tid 640)] Touched c:\Apache2\htdocs\.stat.

Hello Team,  In our current Launch implementation we have republished the library but when we check in browser console using satellite.buildInfo command, showing the build date when the library originally published.  Sometime this varies so not sure what happening exactly. Is there any issue with Launch ?  For reference please see attached screenshot.

For AppMeasurement managing the library I think it's a good idea to send the version within a prop to know when the versions change in the event there's some reporting anomalies.  I discovered setting a data element to the value of the s.version only works if the beacon is sent after DOM ready.However, if setting the prop manually within custom code, in the AA ext(enable after settings..) or page top rule this appears to work as expected.  I'm unsure if this is due to a race condition or if this is the nature of how Launch checks data element when using the javascript variable.This also works nicely for getting the RSID dynamically too by using s.account. 

I have migrated properties from DTM to Launch, and when doing so, I always have a host for each environment. When I create a new property and have it hosted by Adobe, do I also need to create a host for each environment?

Some Background My organisation migrated to Adobe Launch from Adobe DTM in 2019. There are typically 3-4 people working on the same Property at any given time. In DTM, our "rule" for editing was:  do not edit any Resource (Rule, Data Element, etc.) where "Status" is "Unapproved" In essence, this enforces the idea that an Approved change to a Resource can only come from a single Editor at a time. Adobe Launch When we started working with Adobe Launch, we assumed there was no longer any need for "manual" rules like our DTM example, because the separate DEVELOPMENT environments would keep changes to a single Resource on different "branches" (to borrow a term from versioning systems). This assumption was proven to be wrong (everyone is always editing the same instance of each Resource, albeit creating new versions as they go), and the need for a manually-enforced approach is still there. I'm currently working with two sites under the same domain and I'm unable to access visitor profile information from 1 of them.  Scenario: User visits site A and performs a series of activities. This triggers an event that triggers a rule in Launch. Essentially, user.accountType is set to something like consumer or business. I'm then using Target to access this visitor profile data and create an audience and experience test for it. I'm able to navigate away from the site or close the site and I'm still able to access this information on site A.  However, on site B, the value of user.accountType is empty. Target attempts to apply the experience and I just get an empty ("") value.  I've confirmed that my visitor IDs are the same across both sites. Both sites belong to the same domain and are configured in Target. Is there something I am missing?

Can anyone explain what is happening here?  I see this occasionally.  It tends to be at the beginning of a session. I originally thought that I had some issue in my code that was causing two beacons to be sent.  I finally caught it in the network tab this AM. I now think that this is normal behavior, but I don't fully understand the "Why" of it. Any help?

Hi all Trying to do something which should be pretty straightforward - struggling! I'm trying to take a 18 character ID and take the first 15 characters from the left.  I've looked up the string documentation and found $String.chop(), but using things like: #set($id = "001jdhvie9584nvjdk") #set($id = $id.chop(3)) ###or### #set($id = $String.chop($id, 3) $id Gives me simply $id as output. Trying logical methods such as "left" or .get(0,15) doesn't work either. What am I missing? Thanks!

I have heard that AEM 6.5 is the last on-premise version of AEM. Future versions will be cloud based only. I haven't found anything on the Adobe site about this. Would any one be able to provide some info or links? Thanks.

Hi,I want aws-java-sdk-osgi jar file to be included inside the "install" folder dev environment during the deployment. In order to test and add objects to Amazon S3 bucket, I included the necessary files inside the "install" folder of local machine. Hi guys. I'm creating an html template in Marketo. For one of my modules there's quite a chunk of css styles that need to go in the <head> section. Is there a way to only show certain <style> blocks based on whether or not a certain module is being used in the template? The extra <style>'s do not need to be shown if I'm not using the module and there's quite a few lines of them so I don't really want them there if I'm not using the corresponding module, if that makes sense?

Hi All, We have recently migrated our property from Adobe DTM to Launch. I have a direct call rule, in which evars and props are set using mapping at UI level in Launch, however events and products are set in the custom code of same section "Set Variables" under Action in launch. Now , the call to DCR has been written like this in code controller : try {      window._satellite.track('commonsPageLoad');    } catch (error) {      console.error(error);    } finally {      window.digitalData = {};    }Here, before DCR fully gets executet ,i.e., before image request getting fired , datalayer gets emptied from finally block. It results in loss of data , when image request is firedIs it due to custom code executing asynchronously ? Can anyone please help on this, what needs to be done.

Hi there, I've followed some examples I've found on other posts to successfully make a variety of SOAP calls in Javascript. However, one that isn't working are the Write and WriteCollection methods. I'm very familiar with the Write method and I've managed to add other methods and use them successfully (Logoff, GetCnxInfo, SubmitDelivery, ExecuteQuery, PostEvent) and have used a similar approach below for those? See code below, could anyone advise what I'm doing wrong? @marcel_szimonisz  - Any ideas?(FYI I'm actually executing this code in a Javascript activity in a workflow of one Adobe Campaign instance, connecting to another. We are capturing a personalized cart abandon URL for a cart abandon email and passing it into a field in Marketo.My question is do I populate it into a URL field or a String field? Is one better than another for a specific reason? I know when populating a link via a token, in order to have the reporting register the token as a link, we need to leave the protocol (http:// or  https://) outside of the value in the token. Does capturing the URL in a URL field circumvent this? Do we need to leave off the protocol? Etc I'm just struggling with what the difference is between the URL field and a string and the doc isn't very clear on that.

I'm manually setting and submitting an array of document titles in custom code in Launch when a user executes an action. However prop47 isn't getting stored in analytics but it looks like it's getting set in both the Adobe debugger and the console. The data is correct but it's not getting stored. Prop50 is the same value (business requirement, don't bother asking why the duplication) and it is working. Team,We are planning to track the "new or repeat" visitors through doPlugins function. We have made all the initial configuration and the necessary settings to track those visitors from the plug in. However, Still we don't see the right data on the respective variable (Conversion variable). We feel like that we are missing or making some information incorrectly.
