Hey everyone, I just started working with AEM a few months ago and I come from a web dev background. I am transitioning a team from all developing on the same dev environment and moving code between environments using packages to working on local instances and using source control.Currently I have a maven project git repo in which we only pay attention to the apps and etc directories but still have outdated directories (content, var, conf, bin, etc...). In order to get a new project done, we created and worked on specific subdirectories such as apps/newProject/... and etc/designs/newProject. We use a combination of VLT-sync and VLT commit to move from our working directory to our Local CRX instances and from their create packages and move to our QA and then Production environments. The issues we are facing come from the fact that our environments do not have the same codebases because we have just pushed up new and separate code without maintaining the previously existing. I'm trying to pass a unique URL via email as part of a registration confirmation process. My unique url is in button form, as a 'my token' element. It looks beautiful in preview, but completely breaks on send. Any help would be appreciated.

I got everything setup and running on my local machine (OSX). I get to the login screen, but I don't have a username or password?Is there a default one? Nothing in the documentation on this either....just says "Once you've logged in...."Thanks for the help!

Has anyone else experienced the preview of a form rendering differently than the actual form when place on a landing page? It's extremely frustrating when I think it will show one way and it doesn't. Is there a setting that needs to be change? Hi,I experenced that for some of my (very long) dashboards the preview function doesn't work properly. Only as pdf's they are loaded properly.Error message showing is "Unable to retrieve reportlet".Since this is really annoying, is there a way to prevent this?

Hi all - Not sure if this is the right place, but I haven't been able to find any similar issues and I was hoping someone may be able to help out.Every day, we receive web services errors 20023 and 20024 from the SOAP API, which are:20023 - Rate Limit Exceeded (The number of calls in the past 20 seconds was greater than 100)20024 - Concurrency Limit Exceeded (The number of concurrent calls was greater than 10)The descriptions of the errors in Marketo's documentation are pretty self-explanatory, but I'm having trouble identifying the root cause. As far as I know, there isn't anyway to identify exactly what calls are causing these issues to arise. So I guess my questions are:1. Has anyone else run into a similar issue?2. Is there somewhere to find more information so I can diagnose the root cause?3. What are the best practices for staying within the Rate/Concurrency limits?Thanks

We regularly run campaigns to our customers asking for them to "Refer a Friend" to use our solution.We have a specific form where we collect information on the "Referree" - where the person filling out the form IS NOT the lead record that will be created upon form submission.One problem that we are running into is the activity log. The activity reflects the behavior of the person that filled out the form and not the lead record that is created. Not a big deal until you factor in Lead Scoring. So, the person filling out the form loses the points - not a huge deal, because as a Customer points are a lot less important - and the new lead record obtains the points - this is a bigger deal, because potentially the behavior could be so great that when added to the demographic score pushes our threshold.As I am typing this, I am realizing that I can just null out the behavior score piece... but is there an easier way to do this?Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello,I'm trying to add some music to my videos in adobe premier elements 11. I go to add media, click go to files and folders, find the music in my USB, click on the track I wish to add, but I get an error message -'You're trying to add media from a removable media, please use video importer for importing videos and image importer for importing images'. But this does not cover music. I've tried to add the track from the CD but its not showing in the file. I've also tried adding from itunes but thats not coming up in the file either.Can anyone help please.Jill

Hi Everyone,When migrating from 5.6.1 to 6.1, I am getting an error in breadcrumb.jsp. "Type mismatch:cannot convert from Integer to long" .I don't see any issue in 5.6.1 but 6.1 it throws an error. I have an multi field rte where I need to restrict number of chars to specific limit. I have written custom validation, it does give an alert that max chars exceeded. if I close the alert and push okay button on the dialog with out changing the content. (meaning keeping the exceeded chars as is) it is showing the same content.please help

Are Users allowed to change names of the Segments created by the Admins or the filters in a segment, trying to look for a better Governance structure.

Hi All,I have a dialog where it has multiple tabs which contain CTA links and RTE fields.My question is I have a description where it is a RTE and List items tabs where author can add any number of list items. And these list items are RTE multi field. max length required for both is different (lets suppose description - 30 and list items- 40 max chars) . I have multiple scenarios 1.So when I set those limits by writing custom validation  , for description it is working fine where as for list items it is showing the limit alert but not displaying the content. 2. if i check max char for description  and list items it gives an alert when exceeded and when go back to description to check again, list items max char length alert is showing up and vice versa. please help.

I'm creating a custom object to store event information from Cvent to a registrant's Marketo lead record. I only need to pull event title and registration type; therefore I've created my custom object (event title) and intermediary object (registration type). The next step shows that I need to add link fields to connect my intermediary object to a person/company and a custom object (event title); however I don't need any additional information from Cvent. Are link fields necessary? If so, would registration type be a link field?

I would like to have a subscription center where cusotmers can choose the frequency of how often they get emails. how would i do that without  putting them on marketing suspended.

Hi,   I was planning to use AEM 10 for bootstrapping my AEM project. However I would want to create multiple projects instead of one monlothic project. For example.project-A-templates : This would have all the templatesproject-A-components : This would have all the components.project-A-designs : This would have all the designs.project-A-content : This would have all the deployable contentproject-A-services : This would have the services. All the different services would have their own project.Need opinion on this approach please? Are there any problems doing this or Is it recommended to have everything under one project?

Hello,Does '[ADBMobile setDebugLogging:YES]' work in RELEASE mode for an iOS App? I see the logs in console when I run this app in iPhone directly from XCode but not when the same installed from OTA portal (its release mode). So, I'm assuming that it works only in DEBUG mode.
