Hello Experts, We have decided to move our application from classic  to Touch with SPA.I need your opinion how this can be done and following are my approaches. Approach 1:1. Migrate all the classic component and template into the touch UI using AEM conversion tool2. Migrate the touch to SPA Convert the project folder structure to SPA structure i.e. archtype 27.In corporate the touch UI component into the new project structure.Convert touch UI component to SPA component (in other words, make the component to work on SPA template i.e. SPA component) Approach 2:Convert the existing project structure to SPA structure i.e. archtype 27.Migrate the Classic UI (component, templates) to touch UIConvert touch UI component to SPA component (in other words, make the component to work on SPA template i.e. SPA component) ThanksNanda

Hello,What is the best way to send notifications to an author upon executing a workflow ?I am trying to give the author insights regarding the progress of the execution but he is not required to participate in the workflow.I simply wish to notify the author from inside his session.Thanks, 

Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing good and health. I'm trying to implement an use case that I don't really know if it's possible or if I'm missing something. Let me give a quick overview. I've created a new Datasource (based on Customer ID) to onboard data from the CRM. For the onboarding process I'm basically importing only CRM_ID  TRAIT_ID (ie):1 "crm_user_user"="1"2 "crm_user_user"="1".....The file is process fine:  We have Adobe Analytics on the Website and we have server-side forwarding in place - working fine, we have other destinations. At Data Collection (Launch) we are doing the ID Sync once the user logs in, passing the integration code of the Onboarding Datasource (created above) and the logged CRM_ID for the ID Sync - our understanding it's that this ID Sync will map the AAM UUID with the CRM ID on this Datasource (right?). We worked with Adobe TechOps and created a S2S Destinatios (User DPID segment export) - Already in place.&n

Hello, Got a question about custom functions as I am trying to achieve something. I have a custom function defined with a fixed number of parameters and I am trying to create the possibility for the author to add as many fields as parameters in the rule editor. Is there a possibility for me to accept an undefined number of arguments? I was searching through the documentation here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/forms/adaptive-forms-advanced-authorin... and found a snippet saying: "Allowed parameter types are:stringnumberbooleanAll other parameter types are categorized under one of the above. None is not supported. Ensure that you select one of the types above. Types are not case sensitive." This kind of makes me believe parameters cannot be arrays, but wanted to make sure.I am using AEM 6.5 Thanks,Daniel

I happened to notice that Modal was mentioned in few training materials as part of the core AEM components library. Wondering whether it was ever built and then archived lately. It would be handy to know the structure of this modal component. Also, there is an open issue logged for modal experience fragment, https://github.com/adobe/aem-core-wcm-components/issues/509. This is also something I am exploring at the moment. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. 

MOPs Pros,We're going to be updating our program name taxonomy and channels soon, but interested in best practices. Here are the options I can think of:1. Update the name on the current program - we can't update channels in this case though so we'll be left with old channel 2. Create new campaign and migrate members from old campaign over - we get the updated campaign name and channel, but will have wrong member status dates as they'll appear as the date they were moved over. Also, need to be mindful of other operational campaigns that might get triggered 3. Create new campaign but don't migrate members from old campaign over - only new members will show under the new campaign name so we'll have a split in reporting in members from that cut-over date   Are there any options or details I'm missing? What have you found as best practice?

We have setup a new MySQL connection and when we test the connection get the following error. The time zone noted in the error is the setting for both adobe campaign and the target mysql db.  I noted one other thread regarding this issue but couldn't determine what the solution was.     The connection is as follows (sensitive data removed). 

Inside our digitalData datalayer we have an Array which captures all the Javascript errors that happen on the page and list them inside it. How can I then take this array and split it up to pass to an eVar? I'm fine doing it for a single javascript varaiable within the dataLayer, just unsure of how to capture each line inside the Array,

Suppose I'm trying to found out the  total number of products purchased on my website, (counting in the cart additions and subtracting the cart removals), would 'product' dimension be the one I go to?Does Adobe do these calculations on backend ? Currently, I'm using approximate count distinct function with products dimension and it gives me all products added to cart without excluded cart removals. Any ideas?

Hi All,  We are using clickstream in some of our reporting.We've set up our identifier within clickstream as suggested by Adobe - using  "VDSID HIGH - VDSID LOW" concatenation.We've also started passing the adobemarketingID value that is passed out of the box into an evar.Those two values (VDS_ID High & Low vs, the evar) do not match - why wouldn't they be the same thing?

Hello WF Gurus I have a task report that we have configured to work as a status report for a dept. The assigned users can update their task % complete, update durations if needed, add inline comments to the particular task (custom task field), update a custom status inline (custom task status). I also want to include adding hours (tracking time) to that task via in line editing. Is that possible - i want to avoid pushing them to the actual task on the project - clicking in the updates tab and then adding time or navigating to the timesheet. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi, There is minification enabled in AEM, but while checking content of minified js, I could see non minified content I means its same as actual js file seems its not minified. kindly help us to debug this issue. Please note we are re build the clientlibs, there is no syntax errors. Thanks in advance!

After upgrading to 6.5.5.0 service pack we noticed while activating any page via "Manage Publication" process, It asks for a workflow process, even though the page is not associated with any workflow. It does not show any workflow just a placeholder and the button gets disabled upon click. There is no error in the log as well. Anyone facing this issue?

Hello! A client of our is considering moving to Adobe Experience Platform and RTCDP. They currently use Target and Campaign manager but their analytics tracking is implemented with the Google suite using GA and GTM datalayer. Because of this, I am uncertain on the best approach to send web data to AEP. We want to keep the existing GTM datalayer as recreating a new one could be expensive. Our options for sending data to AEP are either to use Adobe Launch or to write custom JavaScript Alloy send event calls directly in GTM for every event pushed to the datalayer. (we can also ask developers to code these Alloy events outside GTM) I’m torn because it seems simpler to use Launch instead of rewriting every event pushed to the datalayer in a custom javaScript Alloy call. However, if we go the Launch approach, we would end up having with two tag management systems. Anyone encounter a similar situation where both Adobe Launch and GTM are placed on the site? Any advice?

Hi- Hoping for some clarification on any errors I may encounter in the following scenario. Say I have 10 traits that are outdated and need to be delete entirely.Each trait is currently connected to various segments.The segments contain other active traits, so I would like to keep the segment itself. Am I able to delete each of these traits, even though they are connected to various segments? Do segments automatically update if a connected trait is removed? Or is it the case that I would need to update each segment individually to remove the connected traits that I want to delete, and THEN go and delete the trait? Any clarification on this process would be helpful. Thanks!

Can we bring in email IDs to AEP and get them encrypted, and when they leave Platform have them decrypted? How and what approach should be followed?

Hi all, I was trying the BAAAM tool plugin to access traits and segments. I have the latest 64-bit Microsoft Excel version and downloaded the BAAAM worksheet from the AAM Release notes.After copy-pasting the information token & ORG id, later I try clicking on "validate token" but keep getting a Token error  -  Token Error: 400 Bad Request {"message":"Strings must not be null","code":"ILLEGAL_ARGUMENT"} Can someone please help how to troubleshoot this and fix it? I've already tried the following:- I have tried it running with and without a corporate porxy server running behind- I have the latest 64-bit Microsoft version- I have saved the file as a macro-enabled excel (.xlsm) Would really appreciate some help on this. Thanks,Jyothi Naik
