Normal behaviour for a dispatcher is to delete the target file and then invalidate parent levels (if ResourceOnly isn't set).  The deletion is documented here: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-dispatcher/using/configuring/page-invalidate.html In ACS Commons there is a tool called Dispatcher Flush UI.  https://adobe-consulting-services.github.io/acs-aem-commons/features/dispatcher-flush-ui/index.html. When using this, it seems to be possible to invalidate the target file, rather than delete. Invalidation is preferred in my current deployment.  If AEM is unavailable we would like to serve stale content rather than an error.  This is only possible if the dispatcher retains an expired file rather than deleting it. I have observed the OOTB flush instruction delete the file and the ACS Commons tool not delete it and then replace it on the next call. Therefore I believe there is some setting to allow invalidation over delet

For the sake of security, our security team put our AEM 6.1 stage site under htaccess authentication protection.But, after entered the correct credentials the stage site is redirecting to url like this "http://stage.sample.com/content/geometrixx/en/toolbar/account/login.html?resource=%2Fcontent%2Fufs%2Fzh.html&$$login$$=%24%24login%24%24&j_reason=User+name+and+password+do+not+match&j_reason_code=invalid_login", and given below error.This redirected url looks like related to AEM. How can I avoid the url redirecting and get htaccess the authentication pass? Thanks.

Hi, I have created a demo site having few pages, now I want to create users with different roles like authors, template authors, and end-users who can edit the website content based on the permissions given to them. I have no idea how I can do that. Can anyone help me with the steps to follow in order to achieve this, Can I do it through the dashboard or WCM console at my local?? or Do I need to have a licensed version of AEM to achieve this?? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to get the users mboxSessionID to pass to a cross domain. recently upgraded to at.js and mboxFactoryDefault.getSessionId() is no longer available.Is there equivalent in at.js

I have been following the documentation on https://adobe-consulting-services.github.io/acs-aem-commons/pages/maven.htmlWe are upgrading AEM from 6.3.3.7 to 6.5.5. The acs-aem-commons package works sweet in AEM 6.3 through code POM dependencies and we are using shared component properties as an example. I have used Archetype 23 to migrate code to new structure however I am not planning on using ui.content package as I have pretty much all I need in /core, /ui.apps, /ui.frontend(.react) project.Am I supposed to be using ui.content package just to include acs aem commons dependency in the project or I am missing something here? Is there any other way I can include ACS AEM Commons in my AEM 6.5 project? I really want to avoid manually installing the package on my author/publisher. 

Hi Team, As a part of recommendations, we want to show the recommended items to a loggedIn user on the basis of his purchase history and not on the basis of purchase history of all users.For example, If a user John has redeemed few offers on the website then I would like to show John similar offers on the website. The recommended offers must be 'similar' to the offers John has  redeemed in past. Hi there. I found a couple of similar questions from 2-3 years back. But I think my question is a little different. We are looking to accommodate Target Activities of different initiatives and structure within the same page. For example, 1) banner section is changed based on previous page content of user2) primary content section below is swapped according to target audiences (audience A gets personalised content for A, audience B sees different content for that same section in the page) 3) A/B test may be running on content UI elsewhere for optimisation The 3 tests would have different time frame, owner of activity, and use separate Target Activities. What is the best practice for managing this sort of business practice? Use separate mbox'es for different initiatives and run on the same page? Or they would work just fine so long as they do not try to modify the same HTML block on the page? Thank you so much for your help!

I understand that category affinity is contingent on having a value set to the parameter 'user.categoryId'. I was wondering if it were possible to reference user.categoryId by itself as an mbox parameter in my audience rules, as opposed to using the standalone category affinity algorithm? Suppose user.categoryId is associated with the category of my product, can I build an audience whose categoryId matches a specific value?   

Hi Team, I understand that adobe has the list of social network where it should be treated. I am just still wondering why does the snap chat is not yet treated as social network in referrer type. I have requirement to get all the assets and its properties in .json format at certain level by URl as /content/dam/abc/a.1.jsonI am able to get data using httpclient library by get call ,Is there any other way to fetch the data in json format as I don't want to pass username and password in get call

If there a function available to detect when say a new conditional select element or input has been added to a form? I am using the functions found here to strip all styles from the form but these dont apply to conditional elements added later. I also have some javascript on the form to add a class to the mktoFieldWrap of each element so i can target the labels by say label for checkbox vs label for input. These classes get added when form is ready, but not to the conditional conset checkboxes that appear after selecting values from select elements.   Another option would be to not use the <div class="mktoPlaceholder mktoPlaceholderconsenttoProcessing"></div> and instead just have the elements already inserted into the form, but I couldnt find any options for this?   Thank you in advance for any help!     <form id="mktoForm_4312" class="dk-nobg-btm-2col center-form"></form> <script> MktoForms2.loa

Is there a way to specify location of a form on a guided landing page based on device, so that if a user were viewing the page on mobile, the form would be at the top?  Currently the form is displaying on the bottom in mobile.

While testing and sending our first campaigns in ACS we came across some incorrect representations of deliveries in Outlook (Windows versions only). The problem is the following: Images are sometimes displayed across the full width of the mailing in Outlook. The phenomenon occurs randomly. So we create mailings with the same template and from time to time it does work. Sometimes it does not. Using the Snowflake on CentOS portion of the Adobe Campaign Snowflake install guide ( https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/campaign-classic/using/getting-started/accessing-external-database/specific-configuration-database.html#configure-access-to-snowflake) I have installed snowflake on our Adobe Campaign unix host.   When the windows client console is started and connected to the test instance, snowflake does not appear as a type under external database when creating a new external account.   The install completed normally and the server has been restarted, there no additional configuration instructions.    

I have a rule that is bound to the mouse click event. In the conditions section I want to be able to use this event in my custom code before I execute any actions.  Adobe Analytics extension has this event object in the Set Variables action. But I need to use the same object before I reach this action. Is there a way to pass the event object into the condition that is configured as a custom code? (I don't want to use global event object since it is not present in the old versions of some browsers.)

Hi All, I'm new to AEM please let me know if anyone has idea on below scenario.I'm working on dam assets -  I would like to delete assets from one particular folder after some specific time So Im using scheduler for this requirement,  but wanted to know how to get all assets from a folder So that once i get list of assets from folder will try to read the jcr:data of all assets like modified date and based on that will delete the asset once it completes some time in dam. please suggest if approach is not correct path will be something like this :-  /content/dam/folder Thanks in advance

Global Variables is available in adobe page calls but not available in adobe track calls?I have set all the global eVars and props in my adobe extention -> global variables sections.any fix for this ?

Is there a way to fetch all the adobe calls data(eVars, props, products, event etc) fired on page?Wanted to keep a log of the calls fired on the page for testing purpose.
