I am just getting started in Marketo and have two instances where I would like an automatic alert emailed to someone on my team when an action is performed. One instance is event registration, I need an auto email sent to my events team every time someone registers. The other instance is for a form where I need an email notification sent to a co-worker whenever the form is filled out.I found a post here with what looks to be the only solution, which is to create an email and trigger it to be sent in the flow. Is there an easier, faster way to do this that doesn't require having to create a separate email just for an alert to be sent?

Hello,I am working on a regular expression within Classification Rule Builder which would look for the value directly after the a colon (:) but would need to stop when it hits a pipe (|). I am running into difficulties getting Rule Builder to see the pipe in the string as the break point.example: s1:bird|s2:monkey|rsc:animal > dog > puppy|s3:cat|It seems that sometimes [\\|] works but not all of the time. ex. (s2)\:(.+)[\\|](.+|$)Thanks! 

This question is applicable for any flow step changing a data value, changing an engagement stream, changing stream cadence, etc. But for simplicity, let's use a change data value example: in a smart campaign flow step, I want to change the date value to "1". Here are the two scenarios that can occur for the same change data value flow step if the data value is already "1" when the lead executes that step:Option 1:- The lead will execute and skip this step in the flow and the campaign results will log a "Skipped value was already '1' " activity (or something similar) for that flow stepOption 2:- The lead will only execute this choice step if the value is not "1", the default is to do nothing, and the campaign results will log a "Skipped 'Do Nothing' was set for this choice"Both options will work in skipping the step whether it executes the step and skips because the value if already "1" (Option 1) or skips the step entirely if it is not "1" and gets the default choice (Option 2). Today I noticed that one of the content pieces in our nurturing program is tied to a separate email program (outside the nurturing program) that has a campaign with a triggered Smart List; when someone submits the form on a particular landing page, they receive a "thank you for downloading report XYZ" follow up email.My question is, is that the correct setup? Or should the campaign "filled out form" (and the associated follow up thank you email) also be nested within the nurturing program?

I think this is probably simple but I cannot find the answer in any documentation or discusssions. I want to have an image fill the background of my landing page. I've tried to add the image url to the backgroundimage in the outerWrapDiv and the mktContent but the url value does not stay in the box. I'm trying to paste the url in the drop down mneu of the Template Elements within the Landing Page. What is the best way to do this? I want the image to retain the same aspect ratio but fill the browser screen.

Hi all,I know you're probably bussy with catching Pokemons. Even though I'd like to know if and how you backup your leads?Do you export your full lead database frequently or are there any other ways to "undo" something, bring leads back to another "version".Let's say, for whatever reasons, leads get deleted or a smart campaign overwrites attributes of leads etc.I think it really makes sense to figure out a solution for these scenarios BEFORE they happen so you know what to do in case it ever happens. Hope this is an easy one to resolve. I've been looking at the improvements made with SP2 and the added flexibility we now have for creating custom indexes. I for some reason don't get it to work however. My search keeps using the cqTags index. Even when I delete the  cqTags index! I make sure I have reindexed my custom index. But for some reason it doesn't get picked up.So here is the question:1) How do I make sure an index is removed?2) How can I see that a custom index is even considered when querying?Many thanks

We have some leads coming through that we cannot figure out where they are coming from. It seems we have more than one record for the lead and the email address is the same. For some reason it seems that it is not recognizing them to merge them together. The company name is a email address with (Inferred by Email) along with the name. The lead is watching some vidyard videos but it seems to be creating a new lead for them and not adding to the existing contact where the emails are the same. It is also creating a milestone "Tradeshow" yet that interesting moment only applies to a Lead Source of "Tradeshow". Anyone else having strange leads come through or issues with vidyard and SFDC sync?

We have an sprop that contains content publish date: YYYY-MM-DD format.I'm trying to create a segment based on this sprop that looks at today's date.What can I put in the Equals box to allow the segment to look at a rolling date in the value of the sprop?

Hello - my company wants to segment our leads (currently all 150k+ leads are in the Default partition) into 4 different lead partitions based on geography (Europe, North America, Latin America, and keep Default to house only our employees).  We want each geography to have access to their own partition as well as Default in case they need to send to employees.  This is to help alleviate the accidental "send-alls" to our entire database, as well as keep our database more segmented.I know how to do this, but I'm a little nervous to do so because of the following questions:  if I move leads to another partition, will this affect any current email sends that are already scheduled to blast?  Also, are there any other concerns I should be aware of before moving the leads from Default to another partition?  And what will happen to the Smart Lists and Group Lists we have created under the Default partition if we move leads?

So I have an email program set up and I don't want to send the email to people who got an email from us within the last 5 business days. However, I want them to eventually get it after there are 5 business days of a break from sends.Is there a flow step(s) that can achieve this?Thanks

Is it possible to add a date range to the Tracking Indicators Report which comes out of the box with Adobe Campaign?I was thinking of duplicating this report and then trying to add a date range filter based on date sent for this report but I am not sure if this is possible.

I want to filter the campaigns based on these values like triggered,scheduled.Is it possible to filter using predefined filter or anything?Help on this....

I have setup my first solr Index but I only want to index a portion of the repository eg /content/mysite/page/* so anything below the page node. However I seem to of indexed the entire repo. Hello Community,We are in the process of migrating to Email Editor 2.0. Upgrading the email templates worked fine but while testing our clones of the ‘to be’ upgraded emails to Email Editor 2.0 we faced an issue. Auto-responder emails (template on v2 – email on v2) based on a trigger campaign do ALL soft bounce. Same auto-responder emails (template on v2 – email on v2) not based on a trigger but sent via a batch campaign do NOT soft bounce. The reason for the soft bounce were not captured in the activity log also but displayed instead 'No attributes to display'. Does anyone face the same and is aware of a solution for emails based on Email Editor 2.0 used with trigger campaigns?Many thanks, Beate

Hi,I have question about report "Device Version(Apple)".I need to aggregate the data of user number of each iPhone device version.I found the report "Device Version(Apple)" in Adobe Analytics report and the report has "None" parameter.I suggest it means "iPhone 6" from it's unique visitor number, but I want to confirm it is correct.I have already confirm that this "None" data does not contain other device like as "Android".Tomo 

We have been using the MC Visitor ID Service for some time now.  When we first hooked it up, the advice given regarding setting customer ids was not to bother because they weren't used for anything at that time.  I found this same information on some blogs written by Adobe folks and in talking with our internal Adobe contacts.Is this still the case?  It seems that if I associated, say, my customer'd account number with the the call that the service could use that to associate that same user across devices.  None of the documentation I can find by searching specifically says how that value is or is not used, other than by detailing the setCustomerIds() function.  I have tried asking our internal Adobe contacts the same question and, again, crickets.So, in a nutshell:  If we are not using Audience Manager, is there any benefit to be realized by including customer ids with the MC Visitor ID service?Thank you.Jim

Hey Everyone,     I've been doing a lot of research around syncing SFDC Custom Objects to Marketo and have seen quite a few recent discussion around this topic. I am currently in the process of syncing a new SFDC Custom Object in Marketo and have a question that I haven't seen talked about yet. Maybe I missed it.What I am trying to do is trigger a smart campaign in Marketo off of the creation of a SFDC custom object, read fields that are in the object, and write the data to the description of an interesting moment using tokens. Is this possible in Marketo? I've been able to get to the point where the trigger is activated  by the custom object but can't figure out how to reference the data in the custom object fields in a way where I can leverage it in a smart campaign flow step.What I've done so far is:Set up the custom object in SFDC and enables the sync to MarketoMade sure the fields I wanted to use are visible for both constraints and triggersCreated the following Smart Campaign:Tri

I called Marketo support and they said this is only available in emails. I'm wondering if anyone has a workaround for Forward to a Friend on landing pages??? I can't put a new form on the confirmation page b/c that would overwrite the cookie of the person who submitted the form. Thanks!   Nichole

See for example the attached report on unique visitors. This is showing the weekly unique visitors.Is it possible to generate a trend report that shows the cumulative growth in unique visitors on a weekly base?  

Originally wanted to ask this as a poll, but couldn't find a "place" listed. Anyway, as many of you know, the open rate and click-through rate are not the best measures of an email's success. A true "open" requires the recipient to download links and images and they can also "read" the email in a preview window without downloading, so those will not be counted as opens. In addition to that, not all opens are from the recipient as their internal email server can "open" an email itself to combat spam/virus concerns before delivering it to the recipient. So not all opens by the recipient are counted as opens (need to download images) and not all opens that are counted are by the recipient (internal email server opens on it's own).
